Fusion plays out pretty much the same as every other game. I think you can choose which skills to add but you have less slots than most other games.
You get new demons from the demon auction between battles where you're playing an auction game against some AI characters and there's some mechanics where betting high initially will cause the others to drop out or something like that so you can get it for cheaper overall. I think there's also an option to buy the demon outright and money isn't terribly hard to find. The auction resets after battles and there are some rare ones that pop up occasionally.
You can fuse or auction any time outside of battle
So the one thing I will say about P5 is based on the one stream I was watching where the guy was translating all the text.
This game is dark.
Good good good.. dark story infused with humor is my favorite kinda story.
Also, is the story for Apocalypse supposed to be good?
I absolutely hate the first person battles to the point where that would make me not enjoy the gameplay that much but it could be alleviated if I set it to easy mode and just played for story and making demons... I wouldn't even be considering it but I don't really have anything else to play for a few weeks so something is better than nothing right?

They don't share a timeslot. You can hang with the Fox in the day and with Nanako in the evening.

You have to solve his requests before you can meet him for a link-up.
When you see an adorable fox you should be doing everything in your power to find out how to befriend it, not waiting around for the opportunity!
