Wow, that's shitty. Pugs can't compete with an organized team of six, even if the weakest player isn't great. I'd rather a fully coordinated team that includes a mediocre friend than a rando ANY day.
I dunno, playing comp in general can be a losing game. Recently had a solid 2 week losing streak, I'd try maybe 1-2 comp matches a night after practicing with my mains in quick play and despite doing well in the comp matches still lose. Dropped 6 ranks. Other teams are mostly solo randos like myself, so I dunno why I always get the short end. Things have been looking up lately, but losing streaks suck in every game and much like all the ones I played before, at a certain point it seems you are at the mercy of the matchmaking gods if you're going to win or lose regardless of how good you individually can do.

Thing is comp will do its best to match you against a team of equal size, so you won't be out pubstomping with your full team.

Given the number of times they've murdered each other this seems to rank pretty low on the list to me.
Is Mike still doing the drawings or are some of these farmed out? It isn't as if I don't like the newer style, I do, I'm just wondering how much stuff is passed off to other staff artists.

Haha, nah, I just meant that a team of six coordinated is better than a team of five, all the way. Doesn't really matter who you're facing off with. Whole team coordination > partial team coordination!

Hell even against another premade, the weakest player can still be useful.
It's called "bait". See, most players will instinctively prioritize whomever they perceive to be the weakest target. Normally, this is a good strategy. But it is predictable, and as such can be exploited by those with the will to do so.
And cooperative bait is so much more effective than rando clueless bait.
Is this a good place to talk about the podcast for the comic? I'm not seeing a thread for it.
Regarding Mike's s'more recipe...I grew up in Texas and that sounds suspiciously close to how I learned how to make Frito Pie. I'd love to hear how the teddy gram bags turned out (it's too danged hot here to try it myself)

A Mexican place near my house sells a variety of snacks made in a bag of Tostitos: Tostilocos, Tostinachos, and Tostiverduras.

If I have to be around an appliance to make it, I'd rather make oven s'mores than that kind. You just use a baking pan and create as many of them as you want at once. And you get delicious cooked marshmallow which Fluff can't do. Which for me makes all the difference.

Levin Sadsad is my bet.

I don't know, sounds like a bit of a stretch.

Look two posts up for an answer!
Got a big ol willy beamish vibe from this panel, never thought I'd think about that game ever again.
Yup.
Legendary

They obviously rez each other, so nah.
They even have the same speaking roles.

Can confirm, teddy graham s'more bags are delicious. Glad to see you back here, forty
