    Navarro is pissed

The best part was earlier when she said that it seems like she and Lord had heard different speeches, that they were in different universes. Because she didn't enjoy huffing glue.

    Oh shit, CNN!

    What?

Half their reporters are pissed off, calling the speech disgusting, psychopathic, entirely negative fear mongering, etc.

While Jeffery Lord tries to make apologies and say that we ARE living in Mad Max times.

As an effete european I usually don't bother with watching stuff from the conventions so I don't have much to compare it to but every time I turned in during this it was some level of ghastly.

I heard that Trump was trying to appeal to Bernie fans tonight.

Do you think that will work?

Not according to Van Jones, he said he was getting texts from hardcore Bernie people that they were totally in Hillary's camp after that speech.

Undecided Utah delegate is deeply gullible and stupid.

The strongest Bernie supporter in my friends circle is talking about how the DNC and RNC are corrupt and how he won't have anything to do with either administration, which means he's still looking 3rd party. I expected no less, naturally.

I couldn't watch, so what about Trump's speech was that bad? Was it really that much worse than his typical prepared remarks+occasional ad libbed shittiness? Are there any memorably awful one liners?

There was the part where I couldn't decide if Trump was advocating for international racketeering or neo vassal states, but mostly the speech was just a boring (and looong) hodgepodge of Trumpisms. I was starting to read a Fusion article and the author of that article put it nicely: "the gist of his speech was that we are all about to be killed by immigrants, terrorists and other evildoers unless we put our faith in him."

    Edit: So, y'know, Trump!

Him actually having the gall to call out Obama for "irresponsible rhetoric" and then railing agaisnt special interest groups only to later brag about having the FUCKING NRA endorsement almost gave me an aneurysm.
