proudmoore alliance has been pretty great, if you want a pve west coast server. The guild I joined has raid teams running most nights of the week.
Knights of Arcadia are afaik still around on dark iron, but they've never been particularly associated with this forum.
Does your guild take new members? Friend and I moved to Proudmoore at the start of WoD but didn't stick around for the expansion too much. We both want to raid in Legion but finding a decent guild always seems to be a pain in the butt.

yeah, http://www.ek-gaming.net/ they will probably stick you in the casual/social sister guild if you aren't apping to one of the raids, but we have an addon that essentially merges the gchats
most of the progression groups are in one night farm mode at this point, but I know there's HFCs on tuesday and friday that are essentially alt/carry groups

Super annoying thing i just discovered: with patch, versatility went from worst stat for every rogue spec (or at least, the two i played, i haven't touched sub since Cata) to best stat for every rogue spec (all 3). While, sure, makes gemming and enchanting nice and easy, also means my gear choices in all the time raiding HFC (not that I've done any of that since like March) are mostly invalidated.

Versatility jumped pretty high on all specs lists. I don't think it's the worst for anybody, and is best or second best for well over half.
Now that I have all classes at 100 and still sorta feel like leveling (I have a few shows I'm watching and WoW's what I feel like leveling in at the moment) I'm thinking about leveling something fresh, maybe make sure I have the classes I most enjoy available on Horde and Alliance.
Also getting tired of playing in a silent void because all the general chats are sewers and all my current characters are in a guild I made so I could have a black and gold tabard.
So, anyone wanna recommend a server and guild for me? I guess I can start playing with the guys on Cho'gall again if that guild isn't dead, but it's a PvP server so the general population on there was fucking horrible even before the election turned every server insane.
I mostly just want something along the lines of the PA guild in FFXIV, where people do whatever at whatever level of casual or hardcore and "Don't be a dick" is an enforced rule.
I have most of my classes as Alliance on WRA with Horde characters scattered across WRA, Twisting Nether, Thrall, and Cho'gall, but I can play wherever.

Well, the Discord is an attempt to create some of that. Aside from that you'd have to settle for joining one or two people, tops.
I'm really not a fan of the itemization changes as they stand for the pre-legion experience. My mistweaver monk for instance, stacked tons of multistrike which was converted into haste. The changes to mana regen and spirit means haste is a really really bad stat for most healers (druids might still want haste, but I'm not 100% sure here).
Haste was a good stat for resto shaman pre 7.0, so I had a decent amount of it. Now haste is actively bad and I have way too much.
Balance, Resto, and Guardian Druids all love the hell out of haste, it's their best or second best stat. Ironically, Haste is Feral's worst stat so it's much harder to share the same set of gear with it than it is between the other three specs.

On the plus side: you'll be abandoning all your current gear and enchants within the next three weeks.

I definitely wouldn't say haste is REALLY bad. For most healers you have a slow heal that is super efficient, speeding that up makes it less of a weakness. Monks don't have that, but speeding up hots and sooth are not terrible. Of course, mastery is way better to the point of necessity. You can't big heal tanks without good mastery.
HA! After 3 weeks of nothing, I got 2 of the 3 remaining trinkets this week. Both of them DPS. Don't even know if I WANT the tank trinket, TBH.
I quite like it. The absorb will buy you several seconds anywhere outside of like, mythic raiding (and you'd want a higher ilvl trinket there, anyway), and the 1 minute cooldown lets you use it pretty often. I think it'll be especially nice to have while tanking unfamiliar Legion dungeons.
@kamar you seem to be on when I'm on fairly often. If you want to play anything Alliance on Dark Iron (pvp, low-medium pop) then I'll get you in a guild lickity split.
Spent a night doing Ashran for the Manslayer achievement, then discovered that apparently it's best to do Pandas first because they are so rare.
Blah.
At least after I get that done Night Elves will be easy with all the Demon Hunters that'll be showing up.
Also, discovered that Ret works really well as a skirmisher in group PVP, build up a 5 stack, divine steed into somebody who's hurt, wings and go to town, then Divine steed and bubble back out. Only time I died was due to the group deciding to go after the Ogre King and not leaving enough of a rear guard to hold off the Alliance.
Also, going to need to get that AVN addon, super useful for the Gladiator sanctum quests.

Keeping up with all the tweaks they do to PVP stats, it is kind of cool what kind of control they have over everything with this new system. I like how certain frail melee based specs are getting more survivability just tweaked in. Like how they are testing giving survival hunters more armor and versa, then reducing the other offensive secondaries to make it more of a damage reduction than anything.
@Dhalphir I already resubbed for WoW, because I too am a weak man, but haven't been posting much.
It's sad to log onto an empty Beasts guild. I haven't decided yet whether I'll be Legion, I've got to be very careful about how much time I spend at home on a mouse and keyboard after spending all day at one.
Anyone have thoughts on the quality of the quests and storytelling from the beta, as compared to WoD or MoP? That's most likely what I would spend my time on.
Edit: Other thoughts, goddamnit there are too many gankers and pvp servers are the worst. Also, holy crap hot streak is amazing. Fire feels like the most powerful spec for demolishing general world mobs that I've tried so far.
About as good as the non-Horde/Ally story stuff in Mists

Think I've decided on Priest for this expansion. Shadow is being gushed on by a lot of people as a great/fun DPS spec, and Holy remains a solid healing spec.
Still leaves me with a level 100 boost to use, because my priest is 88 and I'm not going to burn a boost on him since with heirlooms I can be 100 in a day or two.
Rolled up a druid to test the waters on Dark Iron, name's Keih.

Shadow is great, but it can be a love it or hate it spec so it might not always seem great to everyone. It also has more ramp up than Warlock Affliction so its dps can suck for anything that isn't a boss (and if the boss is on farm it might suck for that too).
Any EU bros out there getting Legion? I was in Obsidian Spur EU side for a while (as Dalathas). Looking to play pretty casually, don't have lots of time to invest anymore, but people to play with is always good.
Battletag is Karuwen#2794, if anyone wants to add me.
Is there an easy way to boost my heirlooms for my paladin? I've got a bunch of the actual heirlooms, Paladin is 93 and I'd like this to move a bit quicker if possible. Still not bad though.

Do heroics for the weird coins, and do holiday events, many of them allow you to buy heirloom boosts.
There's no plan, there's no race to be run
The harder the rain, honey, the sweeter the sun.
you can buy upgrades for them with various currencies, but if you're already 93 it's probably not particularly worthwhile to upgrade them just to push the rest of the way to 100.

I think someone said you save like 9000g by doing the whole coin quest chain. And every time you upgrade a garrison to tier 3 you get to do it again, so it's a affordable-ish way of doing so (it's like 5000g to upgrade to the final tier so in actuality you're saving 4000g)
Anyone moving to Stormrage is going to discover how great it will be to never be able to log into the server for multiple days due to the massive influx of people on release. Ugh it was so bad for WoD, worse so for MoP. I got off due to not being able to play for an entire week

no, then there's no buffer if I accidentally shit my pants

What kind of food are you eating that it comes out in torrents?
i'm just assuming that someone who needs a buffer for inevitable pants shitting is not having normal poops here.

Wait, is this not normal?
Not even back on WoW forums for a week, and already talking about the pooper again huh Pierce?

Like there's anything else worth talking about.
Are combat rogues not a thing anymore? Were they renamed to whatever this outlaw thing is?

Sometimes you trust a fart and then you cut it off quick enough that you can finish the day commando.
Or at least until you can get home and put on a new pair.
