20th Anniversary
The Arceus promotion starts August 1st. You'll have to go to your local Gamestop/EB Games to get the code. This should be the last time you're required to step into a Gamestop until November.

Sort of forgot that there is basically no content between gym 4 and 5. In the originals you had to walk to back to Petalburg from Lavaridge, but you've already done all but the very end of that loop already. In the remakes your rival will just warp you to Petalburg from the Lavaridge gym's doorstep.
Vow, I'm afraid that was all the luck you get for this playthrough. You have squandered it all on an electric rat who is now doomed to die from a series of unlikely misses and poorly timed crits.
If a new Pokemon is caught when you have a full team of 6, roll a dice to see who of your current team gets put on the subs bench for the new guy.
Subs may only be put back into the team following the death of an active member. They may be freely chosen in that situation.

I've now run into six Pikachus in a row in Santalune in Y. I just finally got into an encounter with a Scatterbug that broke the streak
I have been away from the series so long that I didn't know they were doing all of them in 2016 until now.

Doing a Nuzlocke in X, when you get to Lumiose (which I just did) and they offer you one of the three Kanto starters, is there any ruling dictating which you should take?
Nope, nothing "official". One common house rule states to not use gift Pokemon, period. Other people treat it (and the original starter) as a "random roll". Otherwise, I guess take whichever one you want.
1-2 Bulbasaur, 3-4 Charmander, 5-6 Squirtle
This particular Pokemon will fill my sixth slot which means that the next one I catch I'll be doing the dice roll anyways to see which slot they replace (that's a damn cool idea)
EDIT: Rolled a 6, giving me Squirtle. This really is a run which is playing straight to my preferences

Little bastard cost me 12 great balls and razz berries EACH, and still ran away after I fed him
So far i've saved enough candy between pidgeys, ratatas, caterpies, weedils, and a bunch of others to get me around 100k experience if I sit and evolve stuff, I just dont think a lucky egg would last that long and i'd have to be catching a few since I have more candy than pokemon to evolve.

Raichu is an old man who can't learn anything without tms, so it's probably a good idea to hold off on evolving until you've got a movepool you're happy with
