Young(er) Unukalhai is wearing the Demon Casting set! That makes so much sense!
The story stuff is really neat, but I hope they find a way to bring Unukalhai into the main story. Y'shtola welcomes him to the scions, but because the warring triad was an optional plot, they probably can't include him in future msq stuff.

I mean, you'd think that, but they've included stuff from optional stories before. Like Estinien. And Alisaie was made to reference the Coils story if you've done it. And now Nero's back, after his story was largely continued in the Crystal Tower quests. They could probably bring Unukalhai into the main plot if they wanted to. We just know that he probably can't be killed off, because he's a quest-giver.
Please for the love of god that first quest of it better mean we get a new glamour next patch.
It would not be right to tease us with that scene otherwise.
Before this patch, I wouldn't have expected Tataru to give us a new outfit like everyone else but it would be nice to feel included now that they brought up the idea of her wanting to give the WOL a makeover aswell.
Were we supposed to know who the guy and the Lala who summoned the Magitek Vanguard that slaughtered the resistance fighters are?
They were two of the traitorous Crystal Braves. Laurentius in particular has a long history with treachery - he was the Wood Wailer who was selling intel to the Garleans back in the ARR MSQ.

I should not have tried Dun Scaith last night. Rather, I shouldn't have attempted it as late as I did. Totally forgot about the loot thing (and now I'm locked out because I hit greed on something I can't use now) and was so sleepy I was making mistakes left and right.
Can't say it wasn't interesting, though. And finished the added MSQ as well. The Wall was a great "dungeon" IMO. I think doing it with others who hadn't done it before either made it better.

The Wall was the first dungeon I've ever done where everyone was new, and it was a pretty good time.

Went with FC mates, though I think the tank had done it before. There's a pretty tight window movement wise on one of the first boss's mechanics, and the final boss got us a few times (and never did stop slapping Red Cat around, sadly). It was also the first time I'd gone in to a dungeon blind and it was a lot of fun just figuring out the little tricks to properly avoid mechanics.

It was my second time through. I have to admit, there are a few mechanics in there that I don't understand but it's so easy to plow through them they didn't matter.
The FFVI spitfire looking enemies have some kind of tether, and I don't know what it does, but they have so little HP it doesn't matter.
The "extreme caution" debuff seems call for not moving or attacking, but it throws up barriers on your back and sides that remind me of Ravana's shields, and I just know there's something else to it
Illberd's got an attack that I've seen twice, and only when I'm the last man standing as a tank - Dull Blade, which seems like an insta-gib
The Wall has a bunch of mild tank-busters. I was surprised that the bosses relied so heavily on them, because they normally don't appear in 4-player content. The healer in my DF healed through them just fine and with some pre-emptive self-buffs and self-heals it was no problemo.
story spoiler:
one of the guys I ran with forgot about Ilbert and the rest of the DF group went on to remind him. All 4 of us were all pretty excited about getting a chance to beat him. It is great to have such a connection with other random players. We all got to the same chapter of this game we were playing and we were equally invested in these characters and story arcs.
About Papalymo sacrificing himself: it was just awkward with how much of the cutscenes were from his perspective/focused on his role in the group. With a few rehashes of jokes from the start of 2.X thrown in to remind you - the player - that this guy has been in the game from the get-go (I started my char in Gridania, so I had a few more interactions with him than other players. The hamfisted nature of the whole ordeal leading up to his sacrifice made it way more melodramatic than it could have been.
Also: another villain plot that the WoL could have prevented with a single ranged attack.

I'm pretty sure those things are just "Hey, we're leeching ya pretty strongly, kill us quick" though someone on the subreddit said that eventually they just do like 20K. I don't think there's anything more to Extreme Caution though.

wasn't the whole point of anima weapons to be an alternative to progression content
A1S is the first tier of raiding and 5 patches old at this point.
A1S is the quickest because it only takes 4 minutes per clear with good damage and it gives a good return on light.

I guess I'll be all caught up by then.
Yes.
Also, can I just say that the last boss on the Wall was...cathartic?
It also felt a bit good to return to a...Imperial Structure.
Maybe it didn't help that at least one of the healers in my alliance kept getting annihilated by something avoidable.

I just settled on DRK being my Stormblood tank. I couldn't handle another tank class! Then again...if they went SAM dps...
Hush you!
I just retired my DRK in hopes of SAM tank!
GIMME A TANK!
Also multiple new DPS classes without any tank/healer seems like a DF nightmare and bad idea.

Don't do that to me lionheart!!

@Yukira sorry about the DC, I'll be back on ASAP.
Oh, it wasn't just on my side then.
You've failed me yet again, Starscream.
