Alright i have another song that i cant find becuase im retarded or something

this one sounded almost IDENTICAL to depeche mode but the background beats were a bit more dancy, the vocalist sounded almost exactly the same though. I thought i would be able to find this easy but i tried the lyric "would you mind if i held you in my arms" and got diddly shit on google. Also they played like 4 songs by this band so its not just some super rare depeche mode song.

I heard this on the college radio station and it sounded a lot like a daft punk song, and basically the only line i heard for the last minute of the song was "feel my heart beating" over and over (so it was probably the chorus?). searching lyrics gets me a lot of results but none of them seem to describe this song.

You could maybe stop by the radio station if it's your campus, or not far away. For all we know, it could be an original, by a local band.

My guess is that it's a dance cover of Eternal Flame (can you feel my heart beating? do you understand? do you feel the same? is this still the eeeeeeightiiiiies?). And if it's a dance cover of Eternal Flame it's probably the one by Atomic Kitten.

But that's just a stab in the dark.

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

the "no true scotch man" fallacy.

at very least the radio station will probably have a playlist for that particullar show, or if you know what time it was they'll probably have some kind of history, if your lucky they may even have the playlists they use on thier website.

their website sucks, they have every single album they use listed, but thats it, its not split up into which DJs use what or anything.

it was definitely not eternal flame... nor even a HUGELY remixed version of it.

Well, I can tell you that it's not Daft Punk (at least, I'm 98% sure). Other than that, I've no clue.

Any station worth their salt generally has DJs enter everything they play into an online database. Contact their music director who should have access to it.

Im serious when i say it sounded exactly like daft punk, so anything that doesnt sound remotely dance/repeating same phrase over and over is not it.

I guess im going to have to wait for the song to come on again and then call the station or something and have them tell me the name.

Of course i was just listening to the station and now i have ANOTHER unidentified band.

this is retarded, im listening to the depeche mode type band on www.kscu.org right now and im typing in the lyrics
"what do you have to do to make a living" and nothing is coming up. There is no way im getting these lyrics wrong im typing them as they come out of my speakers.

edit: it changed to some band that sounds less like depeche mode (i guess a lot of this industrial stuff sounds like depeche mode), so its not the same anymore, but still i have the direct lyrics up there and its not giving me shit.

edit 2: the dj said it was nonpoptales but they are a no name german band that is impossible to actually get a hold of

i think im just going to kill myself now.

Damn dude. That's like how I heard this song in a classroom when I was working and I couldn't place it. It sounds like the theme to Code Lyoko, at least in the synth sense and vocal sense, but I can't find the damn song. I'm pretty sure it's not the theme to that show and an actual real song because the kid played Cupid's Chokehold after.

In the end, I gave up and forgot about it. Because otherwise it's just maddening.
