Had a great second phone interview today. This time with the person who would be my boss. Almost an hour long and didn't feel forced at all. I am apparently the first interviewee in their current pool, so it's going to take one to two weeks to get to the rest of them before the next round which would be in-person.
Two things about the time table that stuck out to me. First, interviewer stressed to not worry about it taking two weeks, that it didn't mean anything bad, and that they had been in my shoes and know how it feels. Second, interviewer told me that if I get an interview with another company to let them know and they'll expedite the time table. Both of those strike me as very positive things for the interviewer to mention off the cuff.
So yay!
