this one was about an advanced cleaning robot, like a taller roomba that does more stuff, and it started picking up a personality beyond its functional parameters, and doing odd things, but only the dog noticed because the dog followed it around all day while the owners were at work. Most of its quirks involved the dog while the owners weren't there to keep it occupied.
