Trailer thoughts

Last shot of the trailer is Godzilla roaring at something while a bunch of jets fly past him towards what he's roaring at.

I'm thinking scientist lady is some kind of eco-terrorist, tries to wake up all the monsters to kill off humanity, and the girl's connection to mothra messes that up somehow.

Then we get heroic Godzilla+Mothra fighting King Ghidora in the finale. I sort of get a feeling Rodan might not be around for the whole movie. We don't have any shots of him in the rain like the other 3.

Native to earth, or at least has been on Earth for ages, so maybe the film after Godzilla vs Kong will deal with extra-terrestrial monsters like Gigan or Mechagodzilla.

I'm thinking the other monsters will be reserved for monster specific movies. Gigan in Rodan, Megalon in Mothra, etc.

Jet Jaguar should be in one of those movies but it's a Pacific Rim Jager that fell through a wormhole or something.

Gotta keep the color scheme and face though.

There's something about the trailer that sets it apart and I think I know what it is: the music. It doesn't sound like the music from a big monster movie where characters are supposed to be scared of the monsters; it felt a little more uplifting, like "how amazing is it to encounter these incredible living wonders." I think that gave the trailer a unique tone (that isn't quite matched by the visuals, and definitely isn't matched by the dialog). I'll be a little bummed when that inevitably isn't how the movie turns out.
