We did a bunch of mythic+ tonight. After dying to the same fucking shit all night you think people would learn that cleaving down packs of enraging mobs with stuns on cooldown is not smart but no every dungeon with the raging affix was the same. When stuns were available it was fine but when they weren't we wiped a lot. Worst part was people would get a mob to enrage then switch target and kill some other mob instead.

I am beginning to dislike healing again. DPS all think everything is wonderful and I'm sitting there wondering why my mana went and why I'm in this instance with these geese. What part of a tank dying in a global when you guys won't stop cleaving or using stuns correctly is fine.

I wept when I touched your consciousness in the Great Dark, mortal. For I saw his fall, and I saw you, your shadow casting a dark pall over his body. I felt hatred in your heart as it corrupted your mind.

It was not Light's Heart, but you, that needed preparation. Now you know truth. Are you prepared to do what must be done to save your world and all others?

When the time is right, I will call upon you to begin the hunt for Illidan's soul.

I sincerely hope that's wrong in some way...because that is some patronizing garbage right there.

I generally give away gear unprompted - I check people's overall ilvl early on in the run and if anyone is notably less geared than me and shares my armor class, whenever something nice drops I always check their character pane to see what they have in that slot. If it's an upgrade I just hand it to them. Lots of people don't yet know you can trade gear because it's a relatively new concept.

That said, there's also a surprising amount of people who don't seem to realize you can only trade the gear if it's not an upgrade.

So what iLVL do world quest item drops cap out? It's been kind of nice popping in every day and hitting a couple to slowly turn my 790 guy into an 820 one. I'm wondering when the gravy train ends.

Not sure what you mean "some"? Kael'thas was the last Sunstrider.

    It was a family name.

If you mean the blood elves that went with him to Outland, as far as I know those were all slaughtered in Tempest Keep, Sunwell, and Magister's Terrace.

How were they wasted? They were aligned with Illidan, as far as we know, and we needed to go fuck their shit up.

I thought they both got pretty satisfying endings, to be honest. If you didn't get to play and raid them in TBC that's another thing entirely, but they had two of the most epic boss fights in WoW's history and were genuinely very difficult.

I've been getting 840+ world quest rewards, but those often come from PvP WQ's, and start getting upgraded as your honor rank goes up.

Unrelated, I know I keep throwing my own name into the hat for NE leader, but they keep on saying my plan to turn Teldrassil into a giant plant death mecha to fuck up the Legion's shit is "impractical" and "insane."

Well, to be honest, their motivations weren't entirely clear.

Kael'thas just wanted to save his people and was willing to do anything for it, that's why he switched sides to the Legion when it looked like Illidan was Illi-done.

Vashj's motivations are unclear - we know she wanted to control water on Outland, but that was a means to an end to control Outland, the reason she joined Illidan to begin with was never really explained, as far as I know Queen Azshara sent her?

840 is the max, most you see are 825ish

But they can and do titanforge. I have an 870 ring from WQs.

I also dropped a legendary today, from a 2 chest EoA +5 (by 15s only)
Service of Gorefiend, generally regarded as the #2 legendary for Blood DKs. Knocked my ilvl to 858.

So completely the paladin class quest. Follow cap is really dumb, when we only have 8. For garrisons it made sense when yo could get so many. Granted, even in Garrisons the implementation was sort of shit. Would be really nice to through follower gear on eligible inactive followers; especially, now that it only sells for 5 copper. The 250g makes it more annoy too.

I'm surprised they didn't go with a setup where the player could only have 5 followers on a miss or 4 followers on a mission, while another is playing body guard. I could see how that might make the tier that is a choice between one more of everything or being able to buy follower gear less of a choice, but I think that tier is fucked anyways. Right now it makes more sense to go with the follower armaments to so that one can speed up the process to gear up followers and increase their ilvl. Once someone has enough items ready for possible future followers and current followers maxed out, then it makes sense to switch over to having more of each troop type.

Well, Vashj was Azshara's primary handmaiden, one would assume that Vashj does not go anywhere without Azshara commanding it.

Blizzard addressed that particular design decision.

I'll have to paraphrase since I can't recall where it was, but it was something about how with a higher follower cap, they would have to offer more missions at a time to keep all the followers busy, and then that would push the feature more towards being Garrisons 2.0, which they wanted to try to avoidl

  • EnclaveofGnomesEnclaveofGnomes Registered User regular
That's some odd logic, there are already far more quests then your followers can manage and it's difficult to impossible for some classes to have say the bodyguard they want and still cover the various hazards that pop up.

They could just be defectors like the demons aboard appear to be...but from what we know of Azshara's ability to imbue complete loyalty in her minions that seems weird.

Which is the point. You're meant to not be able to complete all missions, you're meant to be picking and choosing and having to let some missions expire instead of doing them. If they raised the follower cap, they'd have to offer more missions to maintain that.

Presumaby leftovers from Vashj's crew? They were in the starting area, so one would assume they went through the portal to Mardum along with the Illidari? Although that doesn't explain why they stuck with the Illidari instead of returning to Azshara.
