I should get more involved with Labyrinth, but last time I went it was insanely crowded with no open gaming space, and there were no pnp games being advertised. And it's a weird distance away--a bit too long for a convenient walk, but kinda far by metro as well.
Yeesh, it's weird seeing big companies go splat. Nintendo and Yahoo and Motorola and such seemed like untouchable giants at their peaks.
Yeah the whole Sears thing is just sad
They went into a dip during the dotcom bubble and rather than ride it out and focus on the fundamentals that they knew drove their sales (i.e. Everything listed in that article) they decided to change everything along weird quasi-objectivist idiot lines
And went into a tailspin from which they cannot recover

K-Mart and Sears stores look and feel like abandoned stores that might appear in a zombie movie or game. Just need to photoshop in a few zombies.
Yeah they are all a bit creepy. Everything looks just constantly unfinished.
The K-Mart in town definitely feels unfinished but every time I've stopped there to pick something up there's been people working and shopping. But then it's right next to a large residential area and the alternatives are all a decent ways away (10-15 minute drive) so I'm sure that helps.
Our Sears is actually still pretty nice but it's also one of the largest stores in out biggest mall so that probably has something to do with it.

Man.. I know Cosplay isn't consent, male gaze, etc etc... but.. a large part of me hopes whomever I fall for.. someday.. is into cosplay..
