    Oh yeah @credeiki and @Shivahn and @P10 and I guess @MrMister now.

I guess this was a thing this weekend. They mentioned it at the game store but we already had plans set up.

Speaking of, I really need to find a better place to store Twlight Imperium. Goddamn that box is big. Part of why I haven't picked up Horus Heresy at super-discounted rates.

Yeesh, it's weird seeing big companies go splat. Nintendo and Yahoo and Motorola and such seemed like untouchable giants at their peaks.
psht Nintendo hasn't gone splat yet

    Uhh. They very literally have.

I should get more involved with Labyrinth, but last time I went it was insanely crowded with no open gaming space, and there were no pnp games being advertised. And it's a weird distance away--a bit too long for a convenient walk, but kinda far by metro as well.

Yeah the whole Sears thing is just sad

They went into a dip during the dotcom bubble and rather than ride it out and focus on the fundamentals that they knew drove their sales (i.e. Everything listed in that article) they decided to change everything along weird quasi-objectivist idiot lines

And went into a tailspin from which they cannot recover

Yeah it is way out of the way for me and we went because we were already in the neighborhood. I guess they are expanding to more tables now though. Also they do intro 5th edition games on Wednesday.

Speaking of which. I'm watching his playthrough of Dreadhalls for the rift.

and it's kind of interesting that we have again reached a point where information about video games does not exist. I would like to know the plot and more about it but no one has written anything online. I either have to find someone who has played it and watch their play through, get it myself, or just not know.

    That's a pretty cool feeling.

I just found you don't have to pre-order FFXV from the Square Enix store to enter their "Carbuncle Surprise" sweepstakes.
Just make a store account and go here:

Yeesh, it's weird seeing big companies go splat. Nintendo and Yahoo and Motorola and such seemed like untouchable giants at their peaks.

K-Mart and Sears stores look and feel like abandoned stores that might appear in a zombie movie or game. Just need to photoshop in a few zombies.

Yeah they are all a bit creepy. Everything looks just constantly unfinished.

The K-Mart in town definitely feels unfinished but every time I've stopped there to pick something up there's been people working and shopping. But then it's right next to a large residential area and the alternatives are all a decent ways away (10-15 minute drive) so I'm sure that helps.

Our Sears is actually still pretty nice but it's also one of the largest stores in out biggest mall so that probably has something to do with it.

I am playing in a 5th edition game

I made the mistake of being a warlock in a game with a DM that finds stories interesting

It's 90% awesome and 10% "wait my mentor wants me to do what? Oh god how do I convince the party that this quest we've been moving towards for months isn't actually a good idea and we are ok with fucking over orphans"

    How are thieves?

    Good/Gooder/Goodest

If I find a game I'm either running that or fighter.

Dunno, we don't have one. We have a fighter, a warlock, and a cleric.
