Basch 80 Lohengrin++/Platinum Shield+/Gigas Armlet | Saint Cross R3/Magic Lure R2 | One Eyed General (SB: Apocalypse Shield)
Balthier 80 Aldebaran/Survival Vest/Vossler's Gauntlets | Dismissal R4/Steal Power R3 | Sniper (SB: Strahl Strafe)

Penelo 80 Judicer's Staff+++/Chanter's Djellaba/Oath Ring | Dr Mog's Teachings (SB: War Dance)
Basically I get destroyed when immobilizega slows my entire party and I run out of Wall RW, can't react to heal in time and get blasted apart with the boss around 30%
Frustrating
Trying to fit haste onto Ashe but that means she will run out of offensive magic which is not ideal
I haven't attempted it yet, but why aren't you exploiting Strahl Strafe? Throw Fira/Firaga Blade on Balthier.
I have War Dance and it's meh. Looking at the Reddit megathread, maybe consider Divine Guardian as your RW? Shellga and regen, frees up Penelo's second slot to run Haste.

Then RW a hastega? Your setup already doesn't make a lot of sense to me. No hastega, Steal Power conflicts with War Dance, killing the clones with AoE seems a waste. If you're using Shatterheart, then you probably don't need an Atk break, and if you're using Mist Overload, you don't need Full Break. I'm not sure how necessary One Eyed General is either considering you're hitting a weakness with Saint Cross and well over the cap with one boost, let alone both boosts. You could also bring Gabranth with Banishing Strike and Protectga/Shellga if you wanted, or really whatever white magic. Balthier and Vaan can both use self-sustain stuff, so if you're being overwhelmed by damage, that seems like a no-brainer to help with healing. Vaan can carry Atk Breakdown if you really feel like you absolutely need it.
I am getting completely fucked trying to CM the Ahriman U+
RW a Hastega instead of Wall? Since you have two stacking ATK buffs, instead of Shout you can take MG8, Divine Guardian, or Echo's thing. The mass slow is allegedly scripted at 70% HP, so you can try to plan around it and have someone ready to recast the RW as it kicks in.
Apparently the Ultimate has a chance to drop a Power Crystal, so I guess we are now in the era where folks can try to farm up 6* abilities. If your 5* hones are already in good shape, that might be a better expenditure of stamina than grinding out some of the worse dailies, though I imagine the drop rate is low enough that it's probably not worth refreshing.

I mastered with my setup after changing Ashe to have chain firaga + haste and exploiting the imperil fire, worked nicely, only lost one action medal
e: Daedalus is fun with Pecil's BSB, Celes' Indonesian Blade and Ramza's shout + Eiko's crit BSB
ee: hahaha he hits like a truck filled with smaller trucks, has a stop proc that lasts for the entire fight, and removes delay from his actions below 50%
Good luck people without an absurd holy spam setup + curaga medica

I am so glad that I have exactly that, because the stop proc just sounds ridiculous.
So now that I read that Pecil is useless against the first ultimate, I am assembling a team to take him on. But I would like you guys to give me your opinions before throwing 60 stamina at it:
Basch 80, apo shield, lifesiphon r2/banishing strike r3, battleforge.
Tyro 82, last judgement grimoire, multibreak r1/thundara strike r3, unbreakable spellblade
Ramza 87, shout, fullbreak r1/swift bolt r3, dr mog's (Gave him mag equipment for more damage)
Cid Raines 80, sepharic ray (although it won't be useful, he is my strongest mage for now), chain thundaga r1/thundaja r3, attunement II
Aerith 80, white materia, Curaja r4/Shellga r2, mako might (Healing duties and shellga)
Thinking of using wall as RW.
Everyone has a couple of record dive levels, no level 4 motes though.
I am not sure if multibreak will help with the Ice Azers, if it doesn't I can change Tyro for Celes who can use banishing strike, thundara strike and indo blade, which would help during magic attacks.

I'm thinking that you should swap out Cid for Celes - Shout doesn't boost Ramza or Cid's magic in any way, and black magic triggers a sleep counter, IIRC. You may be better off having Celes use Drain Strike/Thundara Strike/Unbreakable Spellblade, since she'd get a boost from Shout and Indo Blade will help against a magic-heavy boss.
I'd also look at swapping out Tyro (or at least his skills). If Thundara Strike goes to Celes, Tyro should get some damage skill (maybe Ramuh? Summons don't get countered and Ramuh hits twice) plus maybe Protectga to guard against the occasional ping, then stick Attunement II on him.
Beat Ahriman. But good lord, what is with that damage on Maser Eye? I had Selphie and Penelo equipped with dark-resist accessories, and they both died from full health.
I brought both.
Ugh this Daedalus fight. Piercing Darkra is much like Maser Eye; killed one of my DPSers from full, after I hit him with Ark Blast and Addle.
And then he Stopped everyone but my Supporter and my poor overworked healer.

Got off ma butt and did the Curada nightmare. I'm jacked for medicas, let's try the brute force method with ninjas Ramza/Tyro, summoner Yuna, and Minwu's fancy BSB.
If that wasn't just the saddest thing ever. No danger or tension at all. No damage being taken, but SB's charging like crazy. I had an "oooohhh shit" moment when Ramza ran out of Phantasm, and I found out that Swift Bolt was not the right backup to bring, but the thing was on the ropes at that point so it didn't matter.
I almost feel guilty, that fight was pathetic.

You will want some magic breakdown to stack with the full break/multibreak on all the azers and the boss. Ideally some sort of 3rd mag break/atk break combo sb that stacks too like Agrias.
Basch may get a little bored since banishing strike isnt needed very frequently, and is either partially or fully resisted by everything. The only reason i even brought it was for the medal condition
I will second the call for lightning summons to go with the lightning spellblades and scrolls.
All offensive sb's need to be lightning or non element, otherwise they will be resisted by the azers.

Sundaily was super productive, since I had quite a few characters almost to max level. Vaan made it to 81 while learning his new SB, Rydia and Vivi made it to 80, Berserker and Guy made it to 65 (Guy used his MCII and is now ready to farm his RM2), and by slowly shrinking the size of my Sundaily team over the course of the day (and getting a few procs on Luneth's RM3 when the party was just Lulu and Larsa), Larsa went from 51 to 64. He should be double broken before I get to the FF12 Ultimates on Thursday.
I thought someone said that this FFXII event had a relatively easy set of ultimates? I can't beat Daedalus, and I have Holy damage coming out of my ears. His speed in the final phase is way too much, and the bastard has so much Mind that anyone he hits with Stop may as well be dead.
Is the Evil Lantern useful at all? It's got XIII synergy so that's good, and the evasion buff is neat, but it seems pretty weak and doesn't have that many users.

I don't know who would say such a thing. These usher in a new phase in being even harder, as far as Ultimates go. Daedalus U++ is probably one of the strongest bosses released to date.

Yeah, the U+ and U++ are pretty nasty. I tried bringing kefka to do the trick of overwriting stop with a low mind player cast stop, but that doesn't work when Daedalus decides to stop Kefka first...
Eventually downed him, but he still splattered Tyro at the end with AOE spam that even multiple curaga medicas chained couldn't completely keep up with.
Might be worth stacking WMs with attack holy spells, don't know. He resists or absorbs almost everything but his holy weakness, and he's undead so cure spells do a bit of damage to him in a pinch, curaja did in the 4k-5k damage range with a ton of synergy for my Penelo.

It's worth keeping around for use by throwers in the XIII realm. The lantern isn't the strongest weapon, but synergy is a hell of a drug, and most characters that can use throwers tend to hurt for options anyway.

Did anyone receive their 25 Mythril and Hat/Pumpkin yet? I logged in and got bupkiss.
I got my hat and pumpkin an hour before the daily login/draw reset
Mateus and the Azers was silly. I brought Full Break and Banishing Strike + SG on Tyro, so the Protect wasn't dispelled until Tyro's third turn, because after setting up my characters, I completely forgot about it, oops. The only lightning damage I brought was Crushing Blow, and even with being that slow to dispel Mateus, I still accidentally killed him before hitting the lightning damage condition, oops. Ark Blast is a hell of a drug.
They're pretty inexpensive if you're using them as Rosetta stones, so it's not a terrible idea. It's not like I'm doing anything else with this 120k greens, and with double greens event happening right now, it's just more being built up.
Okay. Managed to beat Daedalus U++. Ultimately, I just got super lucky with a run in which he Stopped nobody at all, thereby allowing my Holy BSBs to go to work.

I love that they have Kefka's Theme as the title music. I've been learning to play it on the piano for the last few weeks on and off.

OOookay, was coasting on the Ahriman U+, but I was not at all prepared for how much damage Maser Eye did, even with Power Breakdown, Full Break and Apoc Shield up. Fucking over 7000 to Penelo. I didn't see it until the jackass was at ~25% life left thanks to cranking out the damage otherwise. Managed to limp on to a sliver of life, but Vaan wasn't fast enough to get the last hit in.
Quick retool to add Protectga though and the asshole went down CM-style no problem. Ark Blast + Magic Lure + Gigas Amulet + Regen (was high from MG8, but Saint Cross overwrites) means that Basch can tank their magic all day every day.
Thinking I might combine my lanterns up to 5+++, and leave the witch hats separate. Especially since XIII is starting to become a mage-heavy realm, having a stack of 40 MAG armors with decent defensive stats sounds pretty great for CMs.
