I feel like since it requires having good timing/aim as well as drains your ammo (potentially all your ammo) that you shouldn't take damage when blocking with it.
Edit- Especially when heavy is only once a match.
I don't disagree with you at all. We're not talking about people running around the map with their swords out and holding down L2 for a whole match. There's only potential for its use for maybe a minute or so before ammo runs out or they get killed.
Heck, Bungie wouldn't even have to change much if they didn't want to. They could simply add a fourth, repurchasable boon to the passage card which states "Remove a win and a loss from the Passage".

At some point on PS4 we really need to get a European Raid Team together like we had in vanilla.
There's at least myself, Hermano , Haphazard , AngryPuppy , Dajoran , Redcoat-13 , caligynefob
I have a dream that I can complete a raid without having to stay up into the early hours of the morning.
Add me to the list as I am in euro land now. I'd love to actually complete a raid in this game.
On another note, since so many swear by the Grasp of Malok I went out and got one. Maybe I just don't have the aiming displine coming from the Zhallo, but I just don't see why everyone loves this thing so much. It seems... gutless I suppose.
Additionally, having clawed my way to 352, I feel stuck in the 350 quagmire. It seems like I am underleveled for Heroics, but normal strikes get me no where.
Depends on the perks, counterbalance is a must have, same with a stability upgrade in the middle.
What was your roll like?
Looks like I got a jank roll then. It's got exhumed, lightweight, braced frame, hannibal, and glass half full. 30 round mag.
The mag size is decent, but if I go with braces frame for the stability I lose rounds. Does it make that much difference? It already seems like I am reloading too much because of the lack of punch.
Yeah that Forge run last night was really fun. We did three Perfected offerings that we were underleveled for and got wiped hard by a Perfected Shank but spent gloriously fun times dumping endless horror on two poor Perfected Dregs, that did eventually die, and came away with untold numbers of blue engrams.
I got another cloak (those things drop for me in the Forge like nobody's business), a Dream-Eater Mask (for that "hey look I'm the Speaker" cosplay), and an Antipodal Hindsight with a roll that I like (nothing special sure but I'm using whatever gun has the highest light for maximum drops and I was using a shit hand cannon).
People have been bagging on the Forge but I'd way rather do that for an hour with a dope group than run the same strike over and over and over again.
My only problem with the Forge is that if your running solo, you pretty much have to pray it drops you in with other players, and there's no way to grantee that. It seems to me that 90% of the time I stop by the Forge, no ones there. And that's using the slow walk method to give the game as much time as possible to match me into a group.
I love Trials. It's probably my favorite thing in the game. But the amount of salt and rage that it summons in some of my favorite XBros makes it a scary place. A fix like that would be amazing, because then we'd spend more time playing and enjoying it together.
What is this I don't even.

Woke up at 4:45am this morning with a weird backache and couldn't get back to sleep, but I managed to get some quality Destiny time out of it. I knocked out the Noble Deeds weekly on my Hunter, which means I only need one more Artifact to light all the statues in the Iron Temple. Plus, as I was turning in Iron Lord bounties I finally got the first step of the THORN quest! Yay! Looking forward to taking Atheon's Epilogue and Word of Crota back into the Crucible.
And with Supremacy Iron Banner coming today, looks like I'll be ticking quite a few items off in my progress book this week.
I do need a Warlock and a Titan to run the Outbreak Prime quest with me, if anyone is interested on the Xbox side. Plus I need to actually do some Trials this weekend.
Alright, I need some help deciding between these two shotguns. I'm thinking lightweight/smallbore/rangefinder over hand-loaded/hammerforged/final round.
So... the last time I played Destiny was when I completed my triumphs... or maybe it was when the shelving in my vaults fell on all my characters and all but there's an IB out and IB is like one of most entertaining things in the game for me which means I probably have to unclog a mailbox or make some room to actually get items to play again. Really don't feel like doing this at all.
Anyway, how's supremacy work? How IBable is it on the scale of IB Control to IB Rift?

Supremacy is just kill confirmed. It's more close quarters because you have to pick up your enemies dog tags, er honor?, whenever you kill them. It's good fun and high pace. Possibly a bit rage inducing because of how shotgun it is, but it's a great mode for not sweating the game.

Pick up their crest. Which I'm assuming we've always had but I've never heard mentioned until now.
Managed to finish off the weekly patrol bounty and got the Memory of Radegast. I guess I should get on having my alts leveled up so I can start getting more than one per week. Would solve my Skeleton Key issue, too...

Yeah it's just so binary. Either you're feeling really good about yourself and team because you're winning or you feel like angry salty shit because something dumb invalidated a lot of hard work.
Those matches last night gave me the itch though, I def want to get more into it

Supremacy is like clash but with multiple transient objectives. For good or ill these have high player magnetism.
I think the major points of difference can be viewed in how trades work.
In control if you have two objectives then over extending and trading has postitive utility.
In clash it is basically neutral.
In supremacy it has negative utility (exactly like elimination, trading in an area controlled by the enemy is a bad outcome almost all of the time)
It strongly encourages team play without the spawn trapping and bullshit of Rift. It doesn't allow any individual player to neglect the objective like control can. It has a more dynamic but comprehensible flow than clash.
Like trials moving as a team and making considered pushes is the key to success and like all sensible game types shotguns are an excellent strategy.

Probably provided with a crest at the start of the match

From the Grimoire:
Kills alone aren’t enough to score. Neutralize Guardians on the opposing team and claim their Crests.
Guardian’s Crests bear the mark of their classes, and the Supremacy match type demands that they defend it with their lives. A lost Crest means lost honor; a captured Crest, glory attained. There is very little that Lord Shaxx enjoys more than a rousing bout of Supremacy.
So...yeah, guess these have been in our pockets the whole time.
It is absolutely true that Shaxx loves Supremacy, though. I am loving how enthusiastic his new announcements are.

When you hear tag football described do you assume that people have always worn belts with detachable Velcro tags affixed that they are provided at the start of the game?

In other news the raid is really fun and really easy once you get the hang of it.
Also I really should have switched in all my caharavgers to get the outbreak prime quest if I were thinking straight.

IDK, I think it's safe to assume that guardians held their crests in their asses, and now was a good time to pull them out with this new gametype?
“I used to draw, hard to admit that I used to draw...”
I really like Supremacy because I love love love denying friendly crests. When I play Supremacy I don't care if I go negative 50 I'm going to dive and slide and shadestep around for my fallen teammate crests and the expense of my life. It's so satisfying yoinking one away from an enemy one step away.

So come do some Forge with cool bros sometime, duh.
That and artifact are supposed to get tweaked in the coming weeks. Not sure how long that is, but they mentionned they were problematic. Hopefully it can get tweaked next reset.
The same thread mentions that both the 4th monitor chest (that had the exotic engram) and the laser-grid tunnel chest (opens after defeating Aksis) were empty this week after looting them last week.
Looks like we don't need to worry about the monitors moving forward, which is kind of sad.

Considering the only ways to get an artifact right now are RNG through engrams, slow-ass grind of CoO/Eris bounties, and double RNG in strikes (Skeleton Keys/maybe get one out of a chest), it will be nice to have a better way of getting one.
I saw a video that says Skeleton Keys are a higher drop rate in the non-Heroic SIVA Strike playlist. I'll test that theory tonight I guess, since I want to finish off the 11 strikes I have remaining in my progress book. If I can get keys out of it, that makes it sting less since it's a "waste" of time otherwise.

Don't worry. I'm sure that one day when I seek raid halp you will be able to do the monitors again. :P

It's like to be better than Rift, but just as terrible to do if you're playing solo.

Oh, IDK. I've IB'd and crucibled solo pretty much all my time in Destiny. The only time it was ever a truly grating experience has been IB Rift.

I really don't like shotguns, so I'm thinking about picking up the FWC sidearm this week when I get some more marks.
@Booker what'cha think? Wormwood? Is this a hitscan sidearm, or no?
