Fire is broken as hell, top tier aoe, top tier single target, top tier mobility, bloodlust.
What more could you possibly want. Well, fun, I think the spec plays like trash, but it's absurdly strong and the more fire mages in your group the better it probably is.
Also, the ability to turn enemies into sheep.
Depending on the abilities of Mythic+ abilities, being able to single target them all down can be pretty huge.

At least, that's been my experience in keystones. I've not once felt the need for any type of single target CC. AOE CC is a different story - Sigil of Misery can be great sometimes - but even that is rare.
Hmm, doesn't seem to be much going on for balance druids. Well, except an inexplicable nerf to owlkin frenzy to only affect Lunar Strike.
I'm kind of curious to see how the mage changes play out. Frost is getting an overall [edit: buff] (but will it be enough?), while arcane is getting a nerf and a buff... so... yeah whatever on that one I guess.
This is a weird expansion for balancing. I'm just happy Karazhan is coming out.
Man Owlkin Frenzy was so fun in beta when it affected the artifact spell. Instant cast moon to the face? Yes please.

Blizzard addressing legacy server announcement possibility at Blizzcon - tl;dr, there won't be one.
Hey everyone,
We’ve seen some talk among the community that you might be expecting to hear some news on legacy servers at BlizzCon, and we just wanted to take a moment to let you know that while we’re still discussing the possibility, we won’t have any updates to share on that until after the show.
These past few months we’ve been laser-focused on the launch of Legion and getting Patch 7.1: Return to Karazhan ready to go (it’s almost here!), as well as prepping for BlizzCon—which is always a huge undertaking itself. You’ve heard us say that the launch of Legion was just the beginning of the story we want to tell in this expansion. What we will focus on at BlizzCon is how the team is committed to making sure we bring you a steady stream of content going forward, and we can’t wait to share what’s next for Legion.
Thanks for your patience, and we’ll see you at BlizzCon.

As expected, the various legacy server communities are up in arms about this. Honestly, I think this was a really smart move by Blizzard.
Over the past couple months I've seen a lot of people talking about whether Blizzard would announce something at Blizzcon about legacy servers.
And of course, because this is the Internet, the following sequence of events happened
Do you think Blizzard will announce something about legacy servers at Blizzcon?
Blizzard might announce something about legacy servers at Blizzcon!
I think Blizzard WILL announce something about legacy servers at Blizzcon!
Blizzard will announce something about legacy servers at Blizzcon
I saw a blue post confirm Blizzard would announce something about legacy servers at Blizzcon (but conveniently can't find it right now)
People get themselves worked up into a frenzy and become all but certain that an announcement is on the way. Blizzcon comes and goes without announcement on legacy servers, and Blizzard gets absolutely SHREDDED for not delivering the announcement, even though they never said they would and it's only been four months since the big meeting they had about it. And on top of that, they literally just launched an expansion for retail, it's not like they had nothing better to do.

Legacy servers? FFS, roll back BM hunters to pre-Legion before even talking about that kind of stuff. I've been trying to start levelling my old main to 110 from 100 and it's just painful. The pet is dumb as f**k and takes about 5 seconds to move, no traps, movement and self-healing are crippled. The fun factor which was always so high with my hunter is just through the floor.
Here's a question: after a few months, how do we feel about the various Mythic dungeons?
Maw of Souls - This is probably the quickest, easiest Mythic. The only moderately challenging pulls for DPS/tanks are the mobs that fear and those that heal after the second boss, and interrupts take care of that. The first two bosses are easy, and P2 on the third can be soloed by a tank - it's a test to see if you can perform simple mechanics. It's also a fun instance, with a strong theme, and while Helya is easy she's also a lot of fun.
The Arcway - I enjoy this one a lot. There's a good mix of multiple kinds of trash, and it's not mindless trash - a good group is constantly interrupting, stunning, LOS pulling, stepping away from exploding spiders, moving mobs out of haste bubbles, avoiding AOE pools, etc. The spider boss and the mechanical boss are a lot of fun, so is the final boss. The only drawback to this instance for me is that the setting is kind of bleh, even given the bleh look to most Legion instances.
Court of Stars - the best looking Legion instance by far, though it's essentially all reused content. I'm a fan of the themes of the instance, I like that it's a change of pace instance, I like the boss fights. But I also find it a little annoyingly crowded in places. The trash is relatively sparse, which is good, but it feels like that just puts more pressure on the group to find more ways to skip trash. I really hate this one on Mythic+.
Black Rook Hold - BRH feels like it was heavily influenced by Shadowfang Keep and Scarlet Monastery, but that the design lessons of the last decade were taken into account. The result is one of the better instances of Legion. Three of the four boss fights are fun (the third boss is a boring tank and spank), the trash is challenging, and doing it quickly requires stuns and cooldowns to handle in an efficient manner.
Vault of the Wardens - It's not a bad instance. People being stupid with the lights makes it annoying at the end. I typically need to handle the light as a tank, which results in too much boss movement.
Violet Hold - I enjoy it. The boss fights are good. Not having a Mythic+ mode is annoying. It's maybe a little annoying that it's just a cut-and-paste of a middling Wrath dungeon, but I understand why they did it.
Darkheart Thicket - This looks like a vanilla instance, but in this case I don't mean that in a complimentary way. It's virtue is that it's a fun instance to grab a ton of mobs on, and AOE them all down while rotating cooldowns. The third boss is mildly fun. The best that I can say about it is that I appreciate the ties to established lore.
Neltharion's Lair - this one has the look and feel of a vanilla instance like Ragefire Chasm or Wailing Caverns, and again, this is not complimentary. The boss fights don't do anything for me. I take it when I see it pop up in the Mythic dungeon list because it's an easy two chests, but it's not a very good instance.
Eye of Azshara - I'm generally not a fan of outdoor instances, with trash packs everywhere. Its one that I might like more if I was running with a regular group that I could rely on not to pull random trash mobs willy-nilly.
Halls of Valor - I enjoy all but one of the boss fights (wolf annoys me a bit). But I really hate the trash. I find people accidently pull stuff far too often. And I really hate the wilderness area.
Civics is not a consumer product that you can ignore because you don’t like the options presented.
I still haven't done half of them and might never do them.
The time investment never seems worth it.

My favourite varies wildly depending on difficulty. I fucking love getting Maw of Souls for my daily heroic because the whole thing is over and done with in barely five minutes.
But Maw on +10 Keystone with Tyrannical was brutal.
Overall, I like that we have plenty of 5-mans to choose from, and they are sufficiently diverse in look and feel.
I didn't like Violet Hold in WotLK and I still don't like it. The boss fights are interesting, which was also the case in the old version, but the portal spawns are just tedious. Although this might just be me hating portals in general. I also used to loathe Black Morass back in the day (and was unhappy to see it resurrected as a Timewalking dungeon). I guess I need more visually stimulating dungeons, or maybe my brain just needs to feel like we're progressing through a dungeon, not just running back and forth.
On a positive note, VH is the only Legion dungeon I actively dislike. The rest are at least OK in my opinion. To mention a couple of favorites, Vault of the Wardens has been growing on me, and the Arcway is great fun. I also really like Eye of Azshara. I like the aesthetics of the place, as well as the distinctive look and mechanics of each boss. And aside from making some room for the hydra fight, there isn't that much trash you need to deal with, barring accidental pulls. It also has a special place in my heart because it was the first Mythic we did with guildies, in crappy gear, with three caster DPS, so our damage was low due to all the moving and eventually the entire area would be full of tornadoes. It was a wipefest and getting him down felt as good as progressing in a raid.
sometimes the elevator in vault of the wardens breaks for me and never goes low enough to get off it so you just stay trapped on the elevator forever, so i'm not a huge fan of it
the only ones I really don't care for are thicket and neltharion's; just kinda uninteresting in terms of layout and mechanics. VH trash is blah but we'll run it less and less as the expansion goes on and people run m+ exclusively
hold your head high soldier, it ain't over yet
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
Official patch notes are up. I'm so glad they decided to drop the proposed change to Ret's Crusade talent. I really like the playstyle of it compared to the clusterfuck that Ret was in WoD. And the Blade of Wrath redesign keeps the RNG feel of old school paladins after you have the haste to swap from Divine Purpose to Crusade, which is one thing I loved - getting 7 procs in a row just felt great.
The first two weeks this was a nightmare as people constantly died on the final boss, but now people know Helya. It is the fastest mythic+ and therefore popular, but the trash hits relatively hard and needs discipline in order to get multiple chests (stuns and interrupts).
This dungeon would be a lot better if you ressed in the bossroom you last cleared. Dieing here is a huge pain. If your only res dies you have to clear back due to spirits too. I had my worst experience on mythic 7 in this dungeon, unable to kill the Fellord before necrotic messed me up. Every wipe was 4 minutes of autowalk. I really like the final boss fight though, and the random doors do add a bit of variety.
This run is extremely straightforward with a lot of downtime. It looks nice but you do pretty much nothing. The only thing you can do is LoS the fel detonation. On mythic+ the "RP section" kills a lot of chests without having any control.
I agree, except that room before the second boss is probably a bit overtuned. If they removed 1 archer from those two pulls it would give mediocre groups a bit more space and not have to dodge 3 AoE's at the same time. Control Undead is fun here though. The third boss does have one trick: He walks so slowly that if you make him run across the room on the charge, you can do a lot of damage to him while he's doing nothing. Important on high mythic+ because that 15s phase of him doing more damage is killer.
Vault of the Wardens - It's not a bad instance. People being stupid with the lights makes it annoying at the end. I typically need to handle the light as a tank, which results in too much boss movement.
The second boss has too many mechanics to the point where it's annoying. Glazer is fun seems undertuned, I only saw 1 group ever wipe, and that was by pointing a lightbeam on an empowered pillar. The final boss is fun to do well, but as a tank I'm not sure the kick is the funnest mechanic, especially during the second dodge phase.
Violet Hold - I enjoy it. The boss fights are good. Not having a Mythic+ mode is annoying. It's maybe a little annoying that it's just a cut-and-paste of a middling Wrath dungeon, but I understand why they did it.
This is the most boring to me. A lot of downtime, no trash variation. Only the ice dragon ever seems to be slightly threatening.
I like the boss fights mechanically but they are very easy. It could stand to lose a bit of trash at the start, and the cat debuff could be nerfed a bit too, it kills unprepared people. In exchange remove the skip path. The mushrooms give me flashbacks to Green Dragons.
The final boss is fun to tank and so is the 3rd boss, the first 2 are meh. It is definitely one of the easier ones. The 3rd boss could use a mechanic where the last spit pool before the tongue is guaranteed to aim at the furthest player, right now sometimes there's nowhere to run into as the tank if you bring all melee. The trash is actually fairly interesting to tank, though the pelters reposition so often you can't do anything. It is a run on mythic+ where you can optimize / be flexible quite a bit though, which I appreciate.
Eye of Azshara - I'm generally not a fan of outdoor instances, with trash packs everywhere. Its one that I might like more if I was running with a regular group that I could rely on not to pull random trash mobs willy-nilly.
People never ever do their job on Curse of the Witch on the first boss and it's exhausting. Seagulls are just flying middlefingers. I like the second boss a lot but would love if I had to clear a little less trash around him, Third boss is actually deceptively easy for how much you have to dodge. (The trash before him hurts more) Final boss I feel I still haven't gotten an optimal strat, so chaotic and probably the hardest to heal boss in all instances.
Halls of Valor - I enjoy all but one of the boss fights (wolf annoys me a bit). But I really hate the trash. I find people accidently pull stuff far too often. And I really hate the wilderness area.
The skip path here is unfun thanks to LoS and camera issues, and the placement of mobs is really tight so accidental pulls are almost guaranteed. The mug skip is cool though.
The wilderness area you can do by killing 1 moose and 4 wolves only. Wolf boss is meh, Godking is meh, holy/lightning boss is ok, but the first and last boss are amongst the most fun, but also the reason I don't like pugging it. Too many people screw those up.

As far as Vault of the Wardens goes, if they cut everything but the first and the final boss (and the bits leading to them), absolutely nothing of value would be lost and it would become the best instance in the game.

Vault of the Wardens is more fun as a DH the first couple times because it's part of your starting area and it is interesting to see what it is like to go back.
Huh, they nerfed Sanctified Wrath by 5 second duration. I mean, I could top up the group within the default window of Avenging Wrath, but still, the extra 5 seconds from SW talent was nice sometimes, particularly when I'm solo'ing around as a Holy paladin and just want to clear mobs in my way.
I wonder if that has more impact now to take Judgement of Light as a talent or not?
Darkheart is probably my favorite, but I main a druid. It's nice to go in there and get lavish compliments on your awesomeness from the Archdruid. Then you've got Xavius talking smack and Malfurion snapping back. It's good times. The only thing I don't like about it is the skip path. Seems like someone always over pulls or body pulls and then you're in the shit.
Court of Stars- is awful. I base this on only doing it once fully as a healer and it was just not fun. It was constant aoe damage every trash pack, and like every boss. As a healer, it was just damn annoying. I tried it pug it the other day and it was, again, so awful that I told the group my cat's house was on fire and I had to go.
Wardens- seems fun. But really only fun with a good group. The Inquisitor is the only reason I don't run it often. I've had some horror shows with pugs and the light at the end, but running it with good people is a great time. I'm going to remake a Demon Hunter to see the instance from that angle.
Eye- I like it. It's a "bad" instance for balance spec due to the constant movement bosses, but I still like it. On the flip side, probably the best instance for resto since they move so freely. I had no idea about tank hatred for the seagulls so it was a bit WTF when my friend got savage and started killing them all with glee. It does have a lot of skip mobs which I don't really like as a design decision. Maybe I want to fight those giants? But it's Blizzard, so that's going to happen.
Halls of Valor- I dig it. Mostly I just like the instance itself. The aesthetics and all. The bosses are kind of whatever. Heimdall's dragons are annoyingly difficult to see so I spend most of the fight not looking at him but rather zipping the camera around to see incoming dragon bros. Odyn is fun and really helped me determine what I needed in terms of weak auras and what to keep track of.
Nelth's- Bland. I neither love nor hate it. The boss hidden under the waterfall was a nice touch for the daily quest.
Black Rook- Also bland. Been there, done that.
Arcway- I don't like this one. I don't find the fights interesting and the random doors and trash (esp the respawns) are annoying to deal with. And the fucking end boss never drops the chrono so fuck him.
Violet Hold- One of my favorites from back in the day, so I was happy to see it come back. I didn't know you can't get a keystone for it, though. That sucks.
Maw- The whole thing is just an idiot check. Got an idiot hunter? Bad times. Can't see Helya when she upchucks? Bad times. Etc. Other than that, I like the theme.

Almost all of the group damage in Court of Stars is either avoidable or preventable through interrupts. Running that place with a good group and a bad group is night and day, even moreso than other dungeons.

I think the Eye of Azshara hate for seagulls is overblown too. As long as you don't let them aggro on to the tank, they don't do much.

No one fears the seagulls in an organized situation, that is downright silly to think.
The issue with them is accidental aggro and not noticing due to them kind of blending in, then healer getting aggro cause it was being ignored, and the healer getting CCed and either dying to random aoe or someone dying because they can't heal.
It's not a problem good groups find themselves with, its something newcomers have all delt with at some point before the meme made them more aware.
Yeah depending on where the heads pop up it's very easy for my fire mage to aggro the seagull from spread ignites, and it's not like I can just turn those off.
Just clear them and get it over with before pulling IMO
Nomi now has a chance to drop Slightly Burned Food instead of Badly Burned Food.
What this game needs is a bunch of options to insult, punish, and/or kill Nomi.
Or, you know, a mechanic of learning recipes for Cooking that involves real interaction. So much about Nomi feels like it got stapled on because someone said, "Wait, how do we do Cooking?" after they hit "SEND" on the email with the finished profession changes.

I still haven't done CoS or Arcway in part because I don't want to do the Suramar questlines (but I guess I'll go work on them...). The more I do the Suramar quests, the more it feels like the bullshit you used to have to do to get attuned for MC/BWL/etc. It even has Jailbreak, with the added fun that you get a to ride a dinosaur.
HoV is my top so far, with VH a close second. I want to love BRH, but all the bullshit trash fighting on curving+slanting stairs makes it annoying as fuck. I would love Nelth more if we could get a hold of that balls-out hammer and I can get rid of this POS Doomhammer. Eye: we had seagul aggro on Serpentrix the last time I ran it and we wiped as a result.

Glazer is fun seems undertuned, I only saw 1 group ever wipe, and that was by pointing a lightbeam on an empowered pillar. The final boss is fun to do well, but as a tank I'm not sure the kick is the funnest mechanic, especially during the second dodge phase.
This is the most boring to me. A lot of downtime, no trash variation. Only the ice dragon ever seems to be slightly threatening. I like the boss fights mechanically but they are very easy. It could stand to lose a bit of trash at the start, and the cat debuff could be nerfed a bit too, it kills unprepared people. In exchange remove the skip path. The mushrooms give me flashbacks to Green Dragons.
I wonder if that has more impact now to take Judgement of Light as a talent or not?

What this game needs is a bunch of options to insult, punish, and/or kill Nomi.
Just clear them and get it over with before pulling IMO

Eye: we had seagul aggro on Serpentrix the last time I ran it and we wiped as a result.
the real danger is if a dps aggroes them, and then healing threat takes them. 5s of healer daze is terrible.
It's been fucked since Legion dropped. I've had about a 1% success rate trying to use it.
Still better than legendary drop rates!
Are you on IOS or Android Mugsley? The IOS one seems to be working fine for me but I don't have a droid to test on.
