So I just got done subjecting myself to Steven Crowder on the premise that hearing viewpoints that aren't my own is a good thing... I regret this decision in hindsight.

It's okay, I'm down to earth about it.
every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

Hm. Contemplating how I could convert to Buddhism in this game of CK2.
I guess I could take my levies, set them to raid, then stick them on boats, sail them down to the Caspian, and... try to march across Persia/Afghanistan, raiding for supplies, until I hit Buddhist territory and start knocking down walls to capture a woman I can make into a concubine?
This feels like a lot of effort for very little reward
@spool32 is that the Barry Crimmins show? Not seen it but heard good things. He was here last month and was apparently excellent but I couldn't go as i was gigging myself.

So jury nullification is basically them saying, "They totes broke the law but s'all good"?
I am not any of the law-[chat] brigade but my understanding is that: It's basically a way for juries to be able to say, "We don't think this law is actually valid." It's (usually) a really good thing! Especially when you have really old and archaic laws on the books like how women can't live in the same house unless there is a man (it's a law in the town I went to college in, and still on the books!)
however, you then run the risk of this kind of thing happening.
Phil Collins seems to be experiencing a revival. I am in favour of this as I recognise most of his songs and therefore don't need to learn any new ones.

Ah, that's who I heard calling in the air last night
After finishing reading the 20 finished books in the Aubrey-Maturin series I'm now tackling the Honor Harrington series.
...am I overloading on military (historical/science) fiction?

For many years Phil Collins was a byword for the irredeemably naff and awful, managing to be despised both for being MOR in his music and right-wing in his professed politics. Occasionally someone would pipe up to say that while that might all be true he was a terrific drummer. But now he is back, his wonky hands apparently much better, and he seems to have sidled nonchalantly into the role of elder pop statesman.
I dunno if its just fashion and this will all blow over, but that drum bit is obviously fantastic. And I do kind of like his voice.
Oh no this is what being 41 is. Giving Phil Collins another chance and settling comfortably into your sofa while No Jacket Required dribbles out of your stereo. When you get up patches have magically formed on your sweater and your jeans have become slacks pulled up high above your waist and you just stand there, certain you were about to do something but you can't remember what.

I'm fine with Phil Collins. He's one of those musicians though that I feel you can't really not consider amazingly talented regardless of if you like the music or not.

I'm with you.
You could post about it on Facebook and have a male friend explain jury nullification to you like you didn't already know what that was
I don't recomend that route tho
I don't have Facebook.
Every day I feel this was a wise decision on my part.

Oh that's crossed over into too much work for novel information
I will just vampire a few wiki pages instead
Towards the end, every so often, it did get a bit dumb
But altogether I liked it

In Australia juries are kangaroos that the defendant as to defeat in one one one combat in succession, if they survive they get set free.
