Sombra's not as bad as I feared so far, but most Sombras I've seen are godawful at them. I literally watch them run right over important medkits, take them, and just leave. Important medkits. Like the one under the statue on King's Row. Hell, I've seen one waiting for a medkit to spawn.
Many also seem particularly enamored of the Dva school of shooting; stand outside your effective range and spray the area, doing barely any damage, but now you get credit for kills! One of them also hacked me as Pharah while I was happily doing corner peaks AND behind a Rein shield. She followed it up by immediately running away. Really not sure what she was going for there.
I'm still godawful as Sombra, because I got maybe 10 minutes combined with her in PTR. And it's much the same story in the current mode. Instalocks on Sombra before I can load the character page.
I've just been swallowing my pride and doing the all sombra, all the time no limits matches. I'm mostly killing other sombras but I'm slowly starting to figure out her kit a little bit. I do love the strategic aspect of which health kits to hack. I'm sure it'll die down after a while. Ana seems to have blended with the general population pretty nicely at this point.

The health kit thing needs to be dialed back tremendously. The duration is insane, and the buffs are ridiculous. Sombra only has to hack one or two medkits to really really damage the shit out of what flankers can do.
Maybe if it made healthpacks worth only half normal values to enemies instead of completely untouchable, but it's an absurd ability at the moment.

Honestly, the health pack thing is an issue in games where you have two good supports.
But seeing as its hard enough to get 1 person to play support let alone do it well, it makes it that much stronger in casual play.
Is the one hero per team thing in quickplay temporary with the release of a hero or is it the new norm?

I swear, every single time I'm about to hit plat, I get hit with a wave of terrible teammates and it's always some 2 man premade so bad I swear they're trolling.
Defense Hanamura. The 2 man premade goes...Sombra and Genji. Defensive Sombra and Genji.

Sombra does not even bother hacking health packs, even the one in the building right next to the gate. Genji does not try to disrupt enemy team, but sits on the point flipping back and forth tossing shurikens at the gate.
Enemy team instantly steamrolls and take point. I am gold for eliminations (1!) and damage as Mei.
They do not switch off as (sniper) Genji and Sombra. The Sombra hangs out on the point B balcony "to stop flankers" pops her ult against a lone Pharah that lands there, dies. Enemy team immediately steamrolls point B.
I ended the round still gold eliminations and damage as Mei
We attack. Maybe Genji and Sombra will be better on attack?
Got some good time in on Sombra tonight, and I love the hero. She's basically an alternate Tracer. I found that focusing on damage instead of hacking helped a ton. I only really hack players in specific situations or to counter a specific ability. I managed to hack and stop a Reinhardt mid charge a few times, but the timing is really tight, so it's hard to do on reaction. Controlling medkits is obviously the top priority, but it just controls how you move around the map instead of being something that you focus on at the cost of killing people.
Hang in there! I lost 5 in a row to start, most not even close. Then, through the miracle of who the fuck knows what, I blanked some poor dude.
I'm apparently better with Mei than I realized, considering I essentially never play her. Or maybe just being proactive with freezing and unfreezing takes people by surprise. Whatever! Undefeated so far in Mei 1v1s!

Is there some sort of tell for Sombra's invisibility cloak? I was sneaking up on a Roadhog from the side when he suddenly turned 90 degrees, aimed right at me, and shotgunned me out of stealth. As far as I know, he hadn't seen me before I cloaked. There was a Widowmaker on his team, but her ult wasn't active in the replay.

The majority of people I've played in 1v1 have been rated 3,500. I'm curious whether there's no rating mechanism, and that's just the people who primarily want to play 1v1s, or if there is a rating mechanism and it's inherited from elsewhere, and will steadily adjust as you play more.

I would of gone with 2 limit if anything...damn at least there's an arcade with no limits. Does that rotate or will I always have access to that?
