I haven't been following the pro scene as much in this tournament. What happened to Tempest, the team that beat MVP Black back in the summer regionals?
Tempest signed with Tempo Storm soon after. Nothing changed, just a name change.
They recently announced they're disbanding, now. Sad times.
Some of them are staying the in scene, some are going separate ways.
100 thousand per team sounds like a lot until you divide it by 5 and i assume take a percentage off for the sponsors.
Probably more useful not divided by 5. Use that as a communal thing for housing or such. Then winnings can be actual profits, while the 100k helps you stay solvent.
It's just so easy. Clutch cleanses or Ancestrals and stuff like that are fun, but Santification doesn't ever feel like they made a great play. It's just predictable and free.

Level 1 you have a LOT of choice. Against AAers? Grab Elusive Brawler. Against bursty ability-based Heroes? Grounding Brew. Otherwise, nab Freshest Ingredients. I don't really recommend Accumulating Flame. Actually, I take that back, but with a stipulation. Accumulating Flame can be taken if you have a 2nd tank and you want more damage, and you otherwise don't need the survivability. That's the only time I'd say go for it, imo.
At level 7, I always grab Brewmaster's Balance. It's just too good for what it offers. Bolder Flavor is also worth consideration, though, because it also has good synergy with Deadly Strike.
Both Chen's Ults are fantastic. Barrel is great for getting picks and it gives you some area control/peel. SEF is good for harassing and it's a great defensive tool. Either works, but I lean towards Barrel if comp permits. Barrel is a playmaker.
4, 13, and 16 are all Q talents, as this is the Q build. So at 4 we nab Deadly Strike. This talent is AMAZING. Not only does it give you some extra burst on your Q, but it removes the Brew cost. This is huge. You normal Q>W>E combo costs 60 Brew, meaning you have to chug after every single combo. Removing the Brew cost from Q means your combo now only costs 50 Brew. This allows you to do 2 full combos before you have to chug again, AND it puts you at exactly 50 Brew after the first combo, which enables both effects of Brewmaster's Balance at the same time. Deadly Strike is by far the single best talent for his Q build.
13 and 16 are fairly straightforward. 35% slow on your Q, or 70% if they're already affected by Keg Smash. And then 16 gives you an extra 20% range which is SUPER good.
At 20, if I took Barrel, I'll nab Stormstout Secret Recipe. This gives you a ton of self sustain, it's really fucking good. Purifying Brew is... okay...? It's decent, I mean, but I'm not a huge fan, honestly. Kinda seems like too little too late, yknow? Barrel upgrade not worth it.
If I took SEF and I don't need Secret Recipe, SEF upgrade. It's super good.
So this build is a LOT different. It all hinges on Keg Toss, and then later Another Round. Keg Toss lets you toss kegs at range and gives 2 charges. So the idea here is you can just keep chucking kegs at their backline and continually harassing them from range. The build really comes together with Another Round, because it will cause W to trigger off itself, with Keg Toss's 2nd charge. So you just sit back, chuck chuck chuck, chug your Brew back up, repeat. You can still go in and harass, of course, but this simply gives you another angle of attack.
Some people like it, some people don't. They're both good builds, find whatever works for you.

Yeah, this was a disappointing final match. Game 3 was way more exciting than Game 4. I think Fnatic was out of gas by this point. They put everything they had into Game 3.
