Earthen Shields Thrall into a hard engage illidan tyreal dehaka comp is fun. Earthen Shields makes Thrall so so tanky since an EQ pulse is a heal and 15% hp. I usually take bolt but I can see the value there.
we almost threw hard because of greed, but ended up stealing a few important kills in late game for the win.
edit: Also, I really really hope artanis nerfs come in this PTR tuesday. He is outrageous in every comp and I don't really know what they were thinking making his QE like this.
Honestly they've shifted to a split push style after you hit ten, where you abuse Play Again to keep pressuring lanes.
The main technique seems to be pressuring lanes hard and then using Play Again to suddenly ambush a fight with all 3 Vikings coming out of nowhere too.
It feels alot like Murky to me. You push hard and then fuck people up in fights and then go back to pushing hard and it's really difficult for the enemy to just deal with your slippery ass.
1. Battlefield of Eternity: Lunara never leaves lane or responds to anything whatsoever. Butcher gets mad and starts feeding whenever he isn't AFK.
2. Cursed Hollow: During draft, two players show Chromie and Kael'thas. Last picker, showing Sylvanas, says "Don't do two casters, one DPS and one caster." Banner bans Sylv, blocking last picker's pick, and Chromie and Kael'thas lock in. Last picker says "Since you won't change your pick, I won't change my pick." and just sits on Sylv -- who, again, was already banned. I disconnected before the draft was over, because I don't have the patience to play another thrown match.
I'm pretty sure I'm literally cursed. I was Gold 4 a week ago with an even win rate, and I'm now Silver 2 with a record of 4-11 this week.
I just had 3 very good games on Tass. I think maybe people are just unused to seeing him? Wall blocks remain one of the most fun things you can do in this game.
I don't care what people say, full missiles Li Ming is both the best build for basically all situations, and makes Li Ming super viable.
Missiles 4 life. Seeker Mirrorball is so so devastating.

Them changing Garona to be half-draenei instead of half-human was one of those stupid retcons I always hated. In the original stuff it was always more interesting to theorize she was half-human, and wonder how that came about. It was a fun mystery that could have had a much more interesting ending than "oh actually, she's half-draenei instead" Like for instance, that Medivh was her father and had sired her as part of Gul'dan and Sargeras' plan much sooner than most had thought possible.
I also always felt that Garona and Khadgar would be the ones to have a romantic relationship and not Garona and Medivh but that's a different complaint.
Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if Labor had not first existed. Labor is superior to capital, and deserves much the higher consideration. - Lincoln
If people think QM is bad this weekend, unranked draft is the 9th circle of hell.
Holy dog's balls.
I actually don't think QM is all that bad - UD is the worst thing I've experienced in quite some time, though.
At least with qm if you get a bad comp, you can only blame Blizzard and reasonable people move on. With any kind of draft, it's both collective and individual fault of everyone on the team so people get salty.
I like Zul'jin's playstyle. He just needs some numbers tweaked.
Tweaked in which way? For what Hotslogs is worth, he seems to be in a good place without being too powerful. Probably one of the most balanced heroes they've released in months.
I feel like he has some issues with talent balance, but I've barely played him so maybe they're not as lopsided as they appear.
I've been out of HotS for a while and traveling for work for the last week. Took me a while to catch up on this thread. This is gonna be something of a scattershot reply.
First - @milk ducks I'm sorry Zuljin isn't quite what you hoped, bro. I know how stoked you were for a troll character. I felt the same disappointment with Chromie so I know your frustration.
Next - I'm exited for Valeera because I mained a rogue all through Burning Crusade, so I've got some sentimental attachment to the class. But goddamn the timing on this hero release is awful. What are we up to now? Six WoW heroes in a row or something? This is getting ridiculous.
Obviously WoW has the deepest character pool to pull from, but come on, man. You gotta space that shit out.
Lastly at this point I don't really even know what Heroes I want anymore. Chromie was my top pick and they totally screwed the pooch with her character design. She's a fun character to play, but artillery mage could literally be anybody. Why waste a time dragon on something like that.
I guess Anduin is the next release I'm really wanting, which I realize is a bit hypocritical based on my previous comment. But I'd love to see a disc priest added to this game.
I've really been having fun with Chromie lately, I think she's doing okay in the current meta.
I don't know the Starcraft or diablo characters as much, so the ones I want to see are from WoW. Yrel, Velen, or Anduin I guess (I'd rather it be a Draenei priest); and some silly ones like Hogger, or a gnome in a mech; and then one of the dragons who actually transforms into dragon form (Ysera would be rad).
Well like I said, her kit is fun to play. It just doesn't fit the character and they completely squandered their opportunity to do something awesome with the time dragon thing. Now pretty much our only hope is if they add Nozdormu.
You know what I would like to see for the inevitable WoW expansion event? Make it dragon aspect themed. Dump Alexstraza, Ysera, and Kalecgos on us all at once along with a couple WC themed maps.

Chromie's whole theme with being a time dragon is that her entire kit depends on your ability to anticipate your opponent's moves. If you are good, you can do an obscene amount of damage and to the enemy team it feels like you are predicting the future. That's basically how her theme and her kit are tied together.
I don't think it's a really good or interesting way to have done it, but there it is.

Isn't Yrel a paladin?
I'd like to see (in no particular order), Stukov, D2 paladin, D2 druid, D2 Javazon, D2 Assasin, Gelbin Mekkatorque, Deathwing, Alexteaza, Ysera, Yrel, alt-Dreanor Blackand, Anduin, Koltira and Thasarian, Kel'Thuzad, Lady Vashj, Akama, Lord Marrowgar, the 3 vampiric blood elves and their Queen (one hero, like tlv), Hogger, a zergling swarm, Al Akir, the Pandaria spirit animals (make them rotate which of them is your hero every minute), terran science vessel, Andariel, Mephisto, Blackthorne, Gruul

This is kinda what they would have to do, because aside from maps there'd be no other way to distinction it from any other time of the year.
"We think players felt the Diablo event dragged on too long." Proceeds to release nothing but Warcraft heroes for the next four months.
They can be fun but your team needs to know to pick fights when they're 2+ levels ahead even though they're down a man.
I think play again is the better ult for team fights. Spin to win can wreck a squishy's life and the body blocking is so real.
Heck with the lv 20 talent that halves their death timers you're basically up 100% of the time no matter how often you die.

This is true.

Pretty sure the next two heroes will be Lucio and Junkrat back to back.
I'd be totally down with that. I'd come back for some Lucio action.
That would line up with what MVP Black's Sake has been saying: https://www.reddit.com/r/heroesofthestorm/comments/5nlayb/mvp_sake_again_mentioned_hint_of_another_new_hero/
