I worked out a Free Will VII I've had in my vault for a bit last night and I really like it. I've got Sureshot/Explosive Rounds/Hammer Forged/Luck in the chamber and it's not the current meta archetype but the faster rate of fire seems to work really well with explosive rounds and LITC, I went 18/6 in a Supremacy game I joined in progress last night and felt pretty damn good about me.
Larger zones, you could really tell they were hamstrung by the previous gen of consoles.
Better group/clan systems. Maybe give clans their own spaces ala Warframe's Dojos.
I dunno, just more and bigger. There are some very obvious areas they can easily improve on, but I've never been one who delved too deep in to the nuts in bolts of things so I can't really comment on particular mechanics.
Though I do agree that D2 will have to bring its A game. I think any scent of "super expansion" will probably do more harm than it might legitimately deserve.
I'm hoping D2 is the D1 they initially advertised. Also, re: PVP changes fucking over PVE and vice versa, welcome to online gaming, in any game ever.
I think it's back to being "a thing", based purely on the number of Destiny streams I've seen with some variation of "Eyasluna farming" as a title.
The concept of farming anything from the crucible is baffling me on many levels. Is the only difference from just grinding crucible normally is that you're doing it with hope in your heart?

I think it's currently just a misnomer (in some sense) stemming from the fact that:
1. When Eyasluna first became "the gun", streamers would jam the Rift queue, because Rift was the easiest gametype to trigger Mercy.
2. Then Eyasluna was moved to the Classic queue, so streamers clarified they were playing in the Classic queue to get an Eyasluna
3. Nowadays, most PvP streamers play Private Matches, so the only reason to go in the queues is to get an Eyasluna
Don't remember the sights but:
Last Resort/Range Up Barrel Mod/Hidden Hand
Outlaw/Range Up Barrel Mod/Third Eye
Rangefinder/Explosive Rounds/Hidden Hand
I've gotten a few others as well but deleted them. I love Hand cannons in this game. They're just so satisfying to use. I'd like a better rolled Imago Loop eventually as well.

Indeed. It's disgusting, if that is how they are "farming" the crucible for that gun.

But in fairness it is more fun and effective to enter Crucible as a team.

Not really sure I follow your thought within the context of what we're saying...
In fairness to intentionally throwing matches to farm the weapon drop chance, it is more fun and effective to enter Crucible as a team?

I'd very much like to see more alien races, with more variety among the currently existing ones, and I would like portions of the story to take place on Extrasolar planets, because confining yourself to our solar system seems like such a waste.
Disagree, but only because I'm a space nerd and I find intrasolar exploration really cool. :P There's a lot of interesting ground we could cover, especially in the moons of Jupiter and Saturn. Picture Europa, starting on a barren ice field, and proceeding through the icy crust into a vast underwater city from the Golden Age. Or standing on Titan and watching storms roll across hydrocarbon lakes, with cryovolcanoes erupting in the distance. Or exploring a research station on an active comet. Obviously we should go to the Reef, too, and play around on asteroids and derelict ships. I guess I feel like if we leave the solar system, you can basically make up whatever you want, which feels a bit like cheating. Staying here, we can keep things at least a little bit based in real science.
I'd like to see the environments in D2 feel a bit more "alive." Human settlements, wildlife, weather patterns. Alien races just going about daily life, instead of always in combat.
I also like to play support classes, so I'd love to see more options to buff/heal your teammates.

I thought you meant entering rift matches with a bunch of friends and activating the Mercy Rule on the other team.

Yeah, there's definitely more opprtunities to explore our solar system as well, and I can see why grounding the game in reality would help to immerse the player more.

Well I'm just a big ol' NASA nerd, so I dig references like that. (The Expanse is like crack for my brain.) It certainly won't stop me from playing if we go to the Susan System.
Oh yeah, this finally happened:
Full Queen's Guard get! Now I can finally stop waiting around for Taken events. And Petra Venj can KEEP HER GORRAMN DOUBLE CLASS ITEM DROPS

"Throwing a match" means that you purposefully lose it. o_o
Also, I actually still have the original Queen's hunter chest gear. :P

Ah, Lingering Song is one of the weapons this IB. I think I'll try and put a good amount of time into this one, then. It's possible to get a roll of it with braced frame, feather mag, and luck in the chamber, and I wanna see what the fuck that's like.

It's a similar looking option that's better performing! I was trying to be helpful! I have a good roll and am a shit sniper, I'd give it to you if that was a thing.

Ok, this...actually seems like a pretty fun way to play. I might have to jump into Iron Banner and give this build a shot.
Although considering the current raid's focus on heavy weapons (for me at least), I don't think a "perfect" Eirene would do anything for me but sit in the vault and maybe see some use in a Nightfall (if the modifiers are right). As matters currently stand, all three of my characters have a Surplus sniper locked on their special slot.
(Destiny) Doot Doot, Shoot Brutes for New Boots, Woot Woot for Rad Suits and Phat Loots
I've felt the itch enough to hop back into Iron Banner this time around. If anyone wants to join me on the PS4 side, hit me up. I'll probably be on most evenings this week (except Thursday).

I think we (myself, rofl, squall) were hoping to get on around 10 EST tonight for an hour or so of some nostalgic banner fun, so please join us in our quest to never win anything ever.
