Well its quite obvious there needs to be a halo 2 tourney, and if the game ever comes out there will inevitably be a half life tourney.
However, I fear that PAX 2005 may overlook the greatest multiplayer game ever conceived. Pikmin 2 has blown my fucking mind. It's an RTS with flowers, and cherrys and spiders that blow shit up. If this game is not in the tourney list next year I will forge an army of midgets dressed as pikmin and storm the tourney room, effectively destroying PAX.
In conclusion, make Pikmin 2 a tourney game next year, or face the consequences.
The only games that I have no doubt will be added to the tourney roster would be Halo 2 and Prime 2. Even Prime 2 is kind of iffy given the lack of Lan play and that some people may take offense to being forced to play four to a screen.
I'm still making out my email of suggestions, but there really needs to be a Magic tournament of some form next year. I think there were more people playing that at any given point in time than in the entirety of the YuGiOh tournament.
I am likely going to run some unofficial tourneys out of my hotel room (with prizes of course). Like maybe Madden 2005, Starcraft, Little Fighters, Rival Schools etc. I know none of those will appear in the official tournements so....yeah. That will make me a very happy panda.
My hotel room is going to be a constant party/mini tournement basically. Too bad I'd only have room to let a certain amount of people in. -_-

Edit: constant...hmm. I take that back. As long as someone from my team is in the room, it stays open. In the event all of my team leaves though I'd have to lock up. I'm not trying to get jacked and what not.

Metroid Prime 2's multiplayer is way awesome. Extremely fun.
How many people can play at any given time, and how long does the average game last? Answer that, gimme a good rule set, and I'll think about it.
2 people can play on one game cube, and its meant to be played with split screen.
The game lasts longer depending on how many Pikmin you start out with and what level it is. The ideal rules to make the game go quickly would be starting with about 30 pikmin and the only legal levels would be where you start out close to your opponent (battlefield, war path, one more i cant remember right now). Unfortunately, because its a RTS, the games can go anywhere from 2 to 15 minutes so it would be hard to gauge the length for tourneys.
Let's play some oldskool Warcraft II! We can install on a master, and spawn across all of the network machines, so it's 8 copies for the price of one $10 disc.

Rules: Best of 3 rounds, 1 game, no secret characters

Veery fun game and a new twist on the genre.

Thats because Yu-Gi-Oh is for little 12 year olds and under, which there wernt that many of at PAX... Magic: The Gathering was the first CCG, and still the damn best by far, even though I dont play since all my friends quit. I would be up for some Drafts though if they wanted to do some at PAX next year, I dont have enough good cards(or recent cards at all) to make a good deck for Type 1 or Type 2, but Drafts, count me in...
Would kick ass if they could get WOTC to make some promo cards for PAX and have Gabe do the art for them... Even if it was a reprint of something common, put new Gabe art on it and it would totally fucking rock... Like the Kamigawa block coming up, which has an asian theme to it, I wouldnt be surprised if there were some Samurai in it... But, put a CTS picture on it and it would be bad ass... Throw that in the Swag Bags at the door...
Eh. I actually DID play the Yu-Gi-Oh CCG for a little while last year (I spent like seventy-five cents on the deck so it was worth it) and it isn't terrible, but at something like PAX there was absolutely no point for having the tournament there, really.

I'm sure a lot of people are going to try. They'll use the hole in the middle of the CD.
