USB keyboard acting up bigtime

For whatever reason, the USB keyboard is acting like I'm holding down buttons, including the `, as well as the number keys, then it'll cause the computer to go into stand-by, AND THERE'S NOT EVEN A STAND-BY BUTTON ON THE KEYBOARD Only happens when I have the keyboard plugged in, and it just started randomly tonight

    Have you checked that your keyboard hasn't got any functions activated? (Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Accessibility Options -> Keyboard Tab).

    Otherwise, what brand is the keyboard? Have you tried looking in relevant help forums in relation to that specific brand of keyboard?

    Something may have screwed up with your keyboard controller... does everything work fine with other keyboards?
