Here's a fast turnaround giveaway of a game I've been mildly curious about and waiting for it to be "done". Over in 5 hours.
Quick repost of this, since it will probably be over by the time I get around to checking the computer again. I'll send it out sometime tonight to whoever wins.

Is Uplay just straight up refusing to work on anyone else's Win 10 computer?
Works for me.
I'm on Windows 10, and it's telling me that the version I have won't work on my OS, to download an older version, allows me to do so, updates it, and repeat.
I already uninstalled it (had to to install the new version), and while currently it's letting me open most of the Ubi games I have otherwise (god knows why) via Steam, I'm not so sure how well it will treat games such as the Assassin's Creed games I have waiting in the wings.

I'm on Win10. Just launched it. Working fine for me.
That said: are you by any chance using the "in place upgrade" version of Win10 or did you do a clean install of it? Because this is exactly the sort of obnoxious bizarre behavior I used to get out of the upgrade version before I finally got fed up and did a wipe & install.
Chipmunks are like nature's nipple clamps, I guess?

I did not wipe and install, and now I don't have the room to again (or even slightly the understanding). However, if I use upc.exe instead of Uplay.exe, it opens fine.

Rimworld playthrough one started, the newly formed colony of Willful Ignorance.
First thing that happened? A rabid squirrel. Thanks @Iolo for taking care of that.
Then we had a tiny raid. I thought it would be fine, but they really don't tell you how to stop friendly fire. We lost the colony's dog, Maxim, in the fight.
Then I discovered what a boomrat was...the fire didn't make it to the settlement, but it did light up a trade caravan that was passing through. Thankfully they weren't too mad. This shot is early on, it was about 6 times that size when the rains came.
Food and clothes have been the hard part so far, but we'll get there - maybe. I mean, we did just save a random clerk who was running away from pirates. We're the good guys, right?
I'm going to enjoy this game so much, I just need to find an easier way to track and organize events and screenshots because I can see this being really fun to recap.

Gobble, gobble, get your city builder on.
e: As a side note, whoever wins this is getting the Deluxe Edition, but the Deluxe Edition on SteamGifts has no picture which looks like poop, so I used the base game to get the picture.
Sale seems a little lackluster for me. All the things on my wishlist haven't hit impulse buy territory yet. Salt and Sanctuary for instance, still not down to 5ish.
And the Witcher 3 DLC continues to elude me by never getting actually cheaper than the season pass, which never goes on sale.

That's one of the reasons I went with DLC only this sale (well, beyond Dragon's Dogma et al). I have a few games that are 90-75% off, but most are around 50% off, and it just makes me eh, especially when I have such limited funds.

I just came home from work, logged in the forums and discovered that @HiT BiT has hit me in the sweet spot!
Much thanks
Basically, you guys can probably wait/hold on a few weeks for the Winter Sale. It'll likely be no better than this sale, but you'll have had a few weeks to save money.
For some reason prices on front page are updated, but those on my wishlist are not.
Disgaea PC for 9.99 $ is pretty tempting... but on the other hand, for almost the same price i can now get Inquisition GOTY on Origin.
Decisions, decisions...
I don't think the hours exist in a human life span to really complete a Disgaea, so look at it this way - theoretically infinite replay value. :P
I more or less 100%'d Disgaea 1 back in the day on PS2, final time on my file was 300+ hours.
I've never been close to finishing a strategy RPG ever since, despite playing a bunch of them (Disgaea 2, Phantom Brave, Makai Kingdom, La Pucelle Tactics, etc, etc, etc.)

Yeah, in addition, the summer and winter sale usually have card rewards for every $10 purchased...though having said that I'm going to pick up a couple now anyway.
Let us know how it is! I kinda liked parts of the first, but not enough to grab the sequel without impressions.
@Blackjack I recommend you pick it up, it's better than the original in all aspects. The game has a staggering amount of variation in terms of gameplay to the point that I'm something like 15 hours in and I'm still getting surprised. Only three things annoy me and they are:
1. The game runs great while 2D but awful while 3D on my laptop, so I have to finish the 3D pats while I'm on the main PC where I could be playing Witcher 3
2. The card game is poorly balanced and was clearly not given a lot of love like Gwent was
3. No quest log or markers. Coming back to this game after a hiatus was quite frustrating
I don't mean to be down on it, just want to let you know it's a really solid 7/10 RPG that won't consume your life and will genuinely surprise you with gameplay gimics that rarely overstay their welcome

Are we sharing award nominations? I think we totally should. I went with these:
The Test of Time: Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
I'm Not Crying, There's Something in my Eye: Planetarian
Just 5 More Minutes: XCOM
Whooooaaaa, Dude: TIMEframe
Villain Most in Need of A Hug: Borderlands 2
Game Within a Game: Saints Row 2 (c'mon, the poop spraying truck was the best)
I Thought it Was Cool Before It Won an Award: Bleed (did you expect anything else?)
Best Use of a Farm Animal: Goat Sim (only because I couldn't think of an alternative)
and for the name-your-own-award, I picked:
You're Gonna be Punished and Like It: Dark Souls 2
The Test of Time: Vampire: Ultimate Doom
I'm Not Crying, There's Something in my Eye: Binding Of Isaac Rebirth (get it??)
Just 5 More Minutes: Civ V
Whooooaaaa, Dude: Pony Island
Villain Most in Need of A Hug: Alien: Isolation
Game Within a Game: DOTA 2 (Put it here because of custom games)
I Thought it Was Cool Before It Won an Award: Battlerite
Best Use of a Farm Animal: Ultimate Chicken Horse
The "Best Use of Chants" award: Earth Defense Force
Let it be known that being out of state is no protection against gifting, as the good @Heatwave so aptly demonstrates:
Thanks so much for Invisible Inc! This one came highly recommended for its take on turn-based stealth, and if my skill at stealth action is any indication, my team should look forward to lots of abrupt ends because I swore that guard couldn't see them. Good times ahead, I can feel it
Not super sure about all of my picks, but this is what I did the first time through.
The “Test of Time” Award — Currently X-COM: UFO Defense
The “I'm Not Crying, There's Something In My Eye” Award — Currently Bastion (that ending!)
The “Just 5 More Minutes” Award — Currently Nuclear Throne
The “Whoooaaaaaaa, dude!” Award — Currently Antichamber
The “Villain Most In Need Of A Hug” Award — Currently Medal of Honor™ (the new one)
The “Game Within A Game” Award — Currently The Witcher® 3: Wild Hunt
The “I Thought This Game Was Cool Before It Won An Award” Award — Currently Kentucky Route Zero
The “Best Use Of A Farm Animal” Award — Currently Men of War: Assault Squad 2 (the farms in the maps often have chickens inside that typically become collateral damage at some point)

@Firebird STRIKES BACK!
Aerial martial arts combat? Yes please!
Much thanks
I think I'm gonna go with System Shock 2 for my "Test of Time" nomination. Of the old games I've played it's the only one where I'd say I have truly enjoyed the gameplay of it.
Whee, got Pillars of Eternity DLC and Dragon age origins complete for my 2d rpg fix once I get done with Tyranny, and caught up on EU4 DLC. Should last until Christmas, but I also kind of want Wasteland 2, the Shadowrun games, and Divinity:Original Sin, none of which I have played. Backlog++

Broken Age and Her Story are great. I haven't played Prison Architect and have no desire to, but people have very good things to say.

Turkey Dale? Sure, why not.
Thanks @Zavian for Spaceport Hope. Sci-fi metroidvania, eh? Okay, you have my attention...
Thanks for Spaceport Hope @Zavian! Interesting twist since while still being a spaceport janitor--another game I need to beat.

But @Asthariel and @Zavian come and remind me with pure gifting animosity~♪
Such joyous occasion reminded me that the Christmas Dale is around the corner. As well as my annual 2-week Winter Dale rhyming romp.
Sure look forward to it...
