Her Mix ability. Literally that's all. She's certainly not bad otherwise, and has good coverage on elements for chaining, but Mix is basically to FFBE like Wall is to FFRK. It gives three abilities, the main one of which is a straight up full party 30% damage reduction for 3 turns plus 40% boost against all elements. That damage reduction stacks with basically everything else you can toss on people.

The reason Rikku is insane is her Limit Break. It's an AOE 80% Auto-Revive for 3 turns. It was almost mandatory for the most recent JP Trial (although people managed to find parties around not endlessly chaining her Limit Break).
So somehow the TM macro failed spectacularly again and I now have 4 ability crafting slots in addition to the 4 item crafting slots from last time. At least there's not much else that can go wrong I guess.

Eh yourself. That's the only thing I've heard about near-needing it for, and that sounds more like a balance fuckup than anything else. Plus, it practically requires her TMR to over-juice LB gauge rate just to make sure you can use it consistently. It's vital for surviving those dumb uberboss uberattacks, definitely, but Mix->Bar-All is great because it keeps you from dying the first place, same as Tilith or CoD's support buffs only even better.

Yea, they use her TM's Eccentric ability (the Limit Boost portion) to juice her LB gauge from 2 Holy/Dark Explosions per turn. Dragonlord or Jack's TM could also probably substitute.
Camouflage has to be working because Refia consistently avoids aggro in the arena for me. 3 people including Cecil might die against this whale team's double up rounds but there sits Refia still over 5K health and double casting full raises.

You could be an asshole and put Golem's Staff on her second hand for more Arena power, although it's not the raw ATK you might be looking for.

Like a weapon's element, it gets applied to both attacks. If you barrage you have eight chances to proc poison and petrify. If you use Darkside that is ten chances of poison and petrify plus the ten 999s.
edit: Oh, right. Lunar pestle. For some reason I just glossed over the name and assumed Thorned Mace that the angry killer weed trial drops.
That mace was probably designed with CoD in mind so if she is taking the field, especially against humans, then she should be rocking that mace.
I'm not going to translate them one by one but the jist is all the ninja elemental attacks abilities and all the elemental hybrid style abilities, including holy blade which was one of the harder hitting ones at 2.3x. Bartz Cyclone Slash is NOT included in that list though.

It's Orlandu's total package that's great. At the time of his release, he gets an easy chain ability that hits multiple times, has a holy element, and the same attack reduces the enemies' holy resistance by 50%, so if he's dual-wielding, the follow-up attack does even more damage. Equip him with Excaliburs to make this do even more damage, as he also gets 40% bonus to his base attack by having just one equipped.
He also has strong single-target skills that have a high chance to inflict a status ailment, most of them really useful, a physical damage MP drain, LB gain is buffed by 200%, MP auto-refresh and is immune to some of the more annoying status effects. He should only really worry about Petrify, which is easy to fix with an accessory or just by having Refia, who is already immune to it, so as long as she's alive...
As mentioned Orlandu's total package is good but his chaining really seals the deal. His holy explosion animation leaves him standing still so there's no worrying about timing because of unit positions. With DW & another DW Orlandu it syncs perfectly just about every time for a 28 hit chain. Down the road he syncs perfectly with both Enhanced Agrias (easy to come by) and Dark Veritas (harder but will still be popular). Holy Explosion is elementless so if there's a holy resist boss, just equip a fire weapon or whatever.
By contrast, Eileen charges the target for her attacks so positioning actually causes the chains to break a lot unless you can do the timing correctly. Up untill today she still doesn't chain very well with anyone other than another Eileen. Even with Forren, who has a similar animation, has a 7 hit count (instead of her 5) and different frame delay so you only end up with a couple hit chains since it gets interrupted. Sometimes you can't or don't want to bring a friend Eileen.
If you get and want to make use of a "finisher" unit like Fire Veritas, Enhanced Firion, Balthier, or even Luneth/Gilgamesh, they will be a whole lot more effective hitting in a holy explosion chain than anything Eileen can do with 1 other DPS unit unless it's another Eileen and even then sometimes the chains break because of the animations.

Update schedule puts us at sometime at April / May, which sadly is also around when we would see the summoning change IF they follow the release schedule of systems changes. Hopefully we see it happen sooner but who knows, we might never actually see it.
I definitely feel like we would see the summon changes. It doesn't make sense to start with it now, or have had it in place from the get go because there weren't enough base 4* and 5*s to warrant it.
There was a lot of doom and gloom when FFRK introduced the guaranteed 5* for every 11-pull gacha in JP. No one was sure the Global version would be getting it, but why would you alienate the entire 50% of your other playerbase by not having that change take place?
Now, GUMI is not DeNA. Timing-wise, we might not get it any sooner than JP did, but I could maybe see a situation where we end up with it happening later instead. I feel like it's almost a sure thing we would get that change and if it doesn't come around the Trance Terra banner, then you can bet there will be a lot of uproar.
Nah. I'll blow mass quantities of tickets and lapis soon. If I don't see a Zidane out of whatever amount of units I get in 40k lapis, and maybe some tickets, I'm just going to keep saving up again and deal with what I have.
Really hoping we get Noctis alongside JP's timing and that he's actually good. Also dual wield. I need a dual wield unit like whoa.

It is pretty slow. It's also annoying for me as I had gotten my 6* Exdeath to level 80 (when he learns Dualcast) the day before the arena reset.
I wasn't pleased.
Thank goodness she has no good innate status resistance, and most people don't bother equipping their arena units with Ribbons or the like.
