When we last left our intrepid defenders of the planet, we had just added Tofystedeth to our roster.. where we immediately sent him back out into civilian cover, armed only with an alien pistol. Tofystedeth was one of our great XCOM intelligence operatives, stealing into EXALT cells on multiple occasions and always coming out with critical intel (how exactly he was so talented at gaining access to restricted information is strictly confidential, but it should be noted that he goes by the callsign 'Romeo'). Tofy is no slouch in combat situations, either, where as an attack support he often acted as a force multiplier on the battlefield and was regularly found mixing it up with the aliens at point-blank range.
The cleared portion of my dossier basically nothing but [REDACTED] and :winky:
I have rarely nope'd out of a game harder and faster than I did on the beta for Ghost Recon Wildlands
There is nothing about that game that is good
Ubisoft has been on a hotstreak lately of doing things that are actually unique and interesting with Watch Dogs 2, Steep, and For Honor, and now Wildlands is here to break that streak thoroughly and definitively
Yeah I played a couple of hours of it and there is basically nothing in that game I can recommend. The world is big, I guess?
My friend is working on a roguelike game you can play if you want to. (It has free demo)

At least someone will be doing something with the Nemesis system, finally. Sucks that it had to be the same people again continuing the same series, but at least they know what they are doing.
aw they only had joosten voice for ICEY which is like 30 seconds of dialogue. narrator is some random guy that's kind of flat, chinese is still better imo
My problem with the narration wasn't that it was in chinese, it's that I don't understand that language so I have to read the subtitles which is impossible while i'm doing these sweet action combat moves.
How did the 360/ps3 versions of Mordor work without the Nemesis system, anyway? I have to imagine it was just a preset bunch of orcs with none of the infighting?

Heck yeah more middle earth fanfiction with batman combat
How did the 360/ps3 versions of Mordor work without the Nemesis system, anyway? I have to imagine it was just a preset bunch of orcs with none of the infighting?
What I've heard is that there's way less variety and options in the system, and a lot of it seems scripted instead of randomly generated. I can't find a definitive answer.

“Middle-earth: Shadow of War expands this innovation with the introduction of Followers who bring about entirely new stories of loyalty, betrayal and revenge. The Nemesis System is also expanded to create a unique personal world through Nemesis Fortresses, which allows players to utilize different strategies to conquer dynamic strongholds and create personalized worlds with their unique Orc army.”

I have no idea what this means

My guess is assbro style having a crew of your own who you can set to do small tasks and call upon for help rather than simply an army of mindless glow-eyed orcs
They should just go full blown alternative LOTR universe so they're not chained to how the books end.
I want this to go full crazy and have Talion/Celebrimbor take on Sauron to see who rules Mordor

Yeah, fuck the books. Fight Sauron on the back of Smaug as the Shire burns around you.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

I bet the dudes in the game will now have unique castles and fortifications that you can tackle in different ways.
Maybe they'll save that for Shadow of X, or whatever the 3rd game will be called. Just cast off the Middle Earth license (though I bet it's easier said than done, and worth more than not having it) and have "Shadow of" be the naming scheme from now on?

Honestly I would not be opposed to this.

Basically at this point my criteria for what I want from a Shadows of Mordor game is What would make the most Metal Album Cover in History?
And as we know, Middle Earth is absolutely rife with providing material for metal album covers.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Just have Talion fight Sauron in a Devil May Cry style boss fight.
Completely anime style fight scene.
Just the final battle of Metal Gear Rising except it's Talion and Sauron

Hmm
A Gold Edition was also leaked, seems to come with the game's DLCs:
quite a few times I wished I could experience the game with a different moveset
Twitch (I stream most days of the week)
Twitter (mean leftist discourse)

I guess it's not exactly new, but giving a later date they'll actually show the game and then telling you to preorder seems shitty.
It ends with Sauron defeated.
Then BAM, the door of night explodes open and Morgoth returns.
The final game is the end war against the returned Morgoth (Dagor Dagorath).
If we're ditching the established canon, might as well use the stuff Tolkien decided to ditch himself.
If i had to bet that was gonna be the original announce date and target went and messed it all up so they had to put this out now.
Steam
So by the time the stuff in the books/movies happens and they're in Mordor, they don't even know it's actually Talion as Sauron the whole time.
there, now its fits
