There was a tense showdown in chat. People were gifted. Some at the exact same time.
Much thanks for Darksiders @Pixelated Pixie ! I loved the second one but have yet to delve into the first, this Warmastered edition shall suit my dark purposes well

You can't even talk to @Zavian without a game being thrown at you these days. Thanks!
Our goal?
Complete the game, i.e.; beating all the bosses, in one night if possible.
How will this be done?
Anyone can jump in-game with characters used in their previous sessions.
Though how it's handled, and what items can be brought will vary in how many users join before friday night.
What this means, essentially, is that farming may be expedited by having components brought from users' other games.
But getting plenty of people joining means all efforts can distributed among players without worrying about time constraints, so everyone can start from scratch.
If numbers are low, at worst, it only means bringing in high-level pickaxes, or parts difficult to farm for hard-to-get items, but NO high level or end-game weapons, armor, or accessories.
How many can join?
The default amount of allotted users allowed is 8, but can be manually changed to 200 if the server can handle the load.
As such, we need volunteers that are willing to host the game, as mine will run like crap.
When will it start?
This Friday of December 2nd.
Time will at 10 PM Central/ 8 PM Pacific/ 11 PM Eastern Times
Time is subject to change as we get more people on board, so we can have the maximum amount of players once it starts.
I kinda want to try running the server. No idea how well it'll go over but my internet stabbity stability went up tremendously after I put in a real network card.
If not, you can still count me in for playing. I may be able to supply some items from my last world (beat the Golem but not the Pumpkin or Frost Moons).

At most, just stuff that's difficult to farm for that we need to summon certain bosses, along with some higher end pick-axes, but that's if we cannot get plenty of people or are running too slow into the session.
Are we OK running Teamspeak? If not installed I don't mind us going into using Discord servers. But that's really up to you @Ianator.

If I wasn't two states away from my pc, I'd be all over that Terraria session. If anyone is on the fence about joining, you really should join in. Terraria is at its best during co-op with friends, and you aren't going to get a better chance than this. Even if you have played before, it's worth experiencing it as a group.
@Firebird I might be able to show up for that Terraria session, though I'd have to keep everyone on mute for a half hour or so as I finish the weekly phone call with the parents.
Yeah, The Witness is 50% off right now for $20. If I wasn't planning on spending heavily for Christmas I'd be gifting out even more copies, it's easily going to be in my top 5 for GOTY.

I'm fine with either. Just trying to remember if CTRL does anything since that's my usual PTT key.
Left control is the 'smart cursor' key (the one that makes you pull out the correct tool for whatever you're pointing at). Might want to use broadcast+threshold or a different ptt binding.
Puttering around enjoying some questing in TESO when I notice a friend invite pop up. It was a one I purged so I thought nothing of it only to find this:
Lewd! Wait, scratch that, Pong on steroids? Very interesting, thanks @WIckedkarma for Impossiball!
It turns out that VCD has 18 built in levels now. Then another Halloween themed level in DLC. And of course, Santa's Rampage is out there as well. These are listed as taking anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours on average and I'm assuming that's for a solo player. Both games have multiplayer and I have one person who has shown an interest in playing the game with me, there may even be another thrown in the mix. The best part about that is they have seen the game, but never played the game. If you know about VCD, you'll know why that's probably going to make things worse in all the best ways.
So here is the incentive, for every $250 dollars, I will stream a level of VCD, starting with Santa's Rampage since it makes sense for the season. With any luck, I'll have some help, but if not - I'll be cleaning solo. The better the charity drive goes, the more janitorial duties I have to perform. Make a mess for the kids!
I know we're already over the initial amount and that's just fine with me, think of that part as a gift inventive for the class you've already shown this time around. Santa's Rampage confirmed.
@Bobkins Flymo : Can you please add this to the OP? Thanks!

If Santa's Rampage is going to be your first ever VCD experience, this is definitely going to be one to watch haha!
The Game Awards tonight reminded me of one important thing - I follow an awful lot of satirical and spoof accounts on Twitter. Also, the developer of the year was a bit of a surprise:
I think that the internet has been for years on the path to creating what is essentially an electronic Necronomicon: A collection of blasphemous unrealities so perverse that to even glimpse at its contents, if but for a moment, is to irrevocably forfeit a portion of your sanity.

Good news, everyone! There's going to be a re-release of Bulletstorm for XBONE, PS4 and PC which touts updates ranging from 4K support to a new campaign mode allowing you to blast through the game with everything unlocked from the start - like in the good old days!
Sadly, like the good all days, Duke Nukem will be the new voiced protagonist. Optional, mercifully.
Bulletstorm without needing to fight the GFWL wrapper will be fantastic, updated visuals a cherry on top. I played it for the first time earlier this year and it was black magic to make it work, then I played it through in as few sessions as possible to reduce the chance of something breaking.
I liked GFWL and I'm one of its few cheerleaders, but damn that needed to be baked in at the OS level or at least tied into Windows Update SOMEHOW.

Well, I mean, that's pretty much what Windows 10 does with Store stuff.
Can't believe this will be part of the base game for free... Between this, the base game, and the free plague knight expansion, I want to give Yacht Club all of my money forever.

And it's the only DLC for that game that I wanted, which means I can finally dive into that game as well!
Thanks! :heartbeat:

@Scratchy has struck me again! Thanks for the Quake Collection! I look forward to tense earthquake simulations!
Course that put me over 600 games (why does it feel like I just recently crossed 500?) so you'll probably have to be punished for that.
I'm fine with either. Just trying to remember if CTRL does anything since that's my usual PTT key.

I'm sure we've all heard of Viscera Cleanup Detail and of course its other stand-alone precursor, Viscera Cleanup Detail: Santa's Rampage.
