obviously there's no real way to predict this sort of thing but it also doesn't make the opening speech about his yearlong struggle to give hideo kojima an award look much better (also should probably have moved the youtubers to a different award)

Yeah to be honest that speech just kind of intensified the super super corporate shallow feeling of everything else

because it tried so hard, and got so far
Blood & Wine was like 40 hours long and better than all the other RPGs
I finished it in at least half that
Not gonna argue the last part because what exactly were the other huge RPGs this year that aren't FF XV
The other nominees were Xenoblade Chronicles, Deus Ex, Dark Souls 3, and WoW: Legion
They put DS3 in with the RPGs and it probably should have won it over an expansion.
The other 2 new ones were Deus Ex and Xenoblade
