I haven't heard but I sort of hope not since I wanted to see stuff slowly build up. But I also don't really have a firm grasp on how it all works so it might be a non-issue even if it was included, I have no idea! I'm mostly on media blackout for the game so I can go into it very fresh.
You can also completely disable the player made stuff! I don't really recommend it though because it's super helpful at times.
Ura - I definitely won't want to disable it. Seeing pathways slowly come together is one of the few things I know about the game and it sounds like something I'd enjoy.

It's a pretty stupid system, to be honest. When people are playing a bunch, your world will get crowded with neighbor crap in stupid places. When nobody is playing in 6-12 months, you won't be able to build effective transport networks because the stupidly-low building resource limit is trying to force that social nonsense Kojima had a hard-on for in this game.
The result is a semi-interesting experience for people who get in early but will become a tedious ghost town for anyone else.

Extrapolating forward, it would make sense to have at least some level of 'breakpoint' for the community size, that accounted for the natural decline in players/hours spent playing it per week as the months, quarters, and even years go by.
Or some kind of 'this is basically what the first couple of months experienced' setting. Hopefully data they could get and implement as an optional setting. I'm not a coder, but if they are storing this info and it can be mined/sorted meaningfully, perhaps they could do something with it to at least fake a similar natural'ish result convincingly.

I don't know.... Most of the things I run into are from people who haven't played since December. So it's not really a ghost town.

Every time I make a little more progress the game sinks its fangs in me deeper. Seriously this game might actually be my game of the year for 2019.

Yeah, I was confident I'd like it beforehand, but it ended up being exactly my shit. As near to perfect a game as I could get. And yet I can also see how utterly fuckin' boring it must be if you're not into it.
Oh brilliant

It's kind of a grievous sin for the (very vocal) minority of fans seeing this as a tour de force singleplayer experience and something to be cherished for that alone. Not that the rest of the player base could care. And we don't have Konami to blame for a low-longevity multiplayer aspect like we did in Metal Gear Solid 5. This is all Kojima, for better and worse.
I'm thinking about trying to get the platinum trophy on this game. Does anyone know how difficult it is to get? I'm afraid to look at the trophy list because of spoilers.

It is easy but extremely time consuming! Seen estimates up to 150 hours. The one killer cheev is
you have to get each and every location up to 5 star affection. Some of them take dozens of deliveries to do this.

I did it in 100 hours. Key is having a strong zipline netwoŕk for getting over mountains. I was able to get pretty much everywhere without touching the ground and you can't do time sensitive missions without them it's literally impossible.
I think I've finished this... I'm sitting through an extreme exposition dump.
Edit: ah there is the credits roll. What a great game!

I’m in chapter 3 and really starting to feel disadvantaged by having to play offline (home internet is potato).
I’ve got 5 sections of road built and now every new section takes multiple trips to build, and that’s assuming i can even gather enough materials.
Plus the “bridge link” point of the star on my porter screen is never going to get any bigger
And now I’m getting messages that objects i built back east are beginning to deteriorate.
I really want to get a section or two of road built from the distro center down south because that whole area is nearly impassable scablands
Also I’ve lost 2 bikes to deep water at spots i swear i forded safely on earlier trips.
Aside from all that, I’m having a blast! F the haters.

Barely started the game and I'm enjoying it. I like to think, as a westerner that I understand Japanese culture better than most average westerners. With some limited helpful insight, I'm really digging Kojima's artistic expression in the game. All except the "Monster" brand tie-in - WTF? But then, if it was extra money thrown towards completing this project I suppose I can live with this "ad-break" on his canvas.

Is it better to walk or to ride? I charged up the first freebie trike, and then lost it to the cargo cult. But is taking the trike missing the point of the game?

Ride if you can, but be prepared to abandon your trike when it gets tough.

i mean, Silent Hill is a much more personal setting than the global ones he is used to.
So, really, the only risk is that kojima was making it for you specifically.

Just don't try to out do David Lynch as much and it'll be great. I'm completely ok with Kojima behind a Silent Hill.

Considering people are paying hundreds of dollars to play a 40 min demo for a never released game, I'd say it's worth the risk.
I never got a chance to play PT, but I've watched playthroughs several times and it's most of what I would want in a quality Silent Hill game (like, looking to restore it to the glory days of 1-4 quality). If Kojima could pull off something like that, and had people working with him he respected who could keep politely tapping the sign on the wall that says "SILENT HILL IS SUBTLETY", I would be the *first* on board the crazy train

Death Stranding was my last chance for giving Kojima a chance on his own projects. He's got things he's excellent at, but he's awful at putting together a cogent, coherent package; I'd love to see what a project could end up like with him as part of a team instead of play-acting at being a movie director trying to enforce his "vision".
Basically, I want him as the idea guy with somebody completely different to actually execute and polish the project. Then maybe we can get gameplay controls that aren't insanely over-convoluted and time-consuming, writing with actual pacing, and stories that are actually full stories instead of half-finished stuff buried under a ton of jargon.

I did a mini Higgs cosplay for a masquerade ball last year. That mask is super uncomfortable IRL, who could've guessed?

Made it to Chapter...7 i think? Heartman wants me to take him a corpse.
But instead I've been doing standard orders and building roads and getting my chiral network boosted so i can zipline all over the mountains.
Also i finally used the Fragile Jump to go back to the first area and mess around. Thought the Wind Farm would be tough but i haven’t seen any BTs there since the scripted encounter in the story mission way back in chapter 2.
A bunch of things I've figured out on my own because nobody explained them:
It’s less of a pain in the ass to just fight the boss BT of an area rather than sneak around, provided you have the ~15 hematic grenades. Drops chiralium and timefall/BTs disappear in that area for a while and make travel much simpler.
You can also run away and if you get out of the fight radius the boss disappears and takes the BTs with it but no chiralium drop.
If you do get swallowed, a voidout is not the end of the world. I’ve been killed by a boss maybe half a dozen times and each time I quit out rather than let a voidout happen. Then one time i just let it happen and even though it left a sizable crater it wasn't as big as i feared.
BB loves when you go fast. Whether it’s a vehicle on a road, or sprinting on foot, or soaring through the air on a zipline. Also when you do a boosted jump.
You can dismantle structures quickly from the map screen.
