Clarification: this was the security update that just came out; not Android O. The security update can indeed be installed (because I said "fuck it" and installed it) without borking access to the game.
I'm trying to learn when poison works. The main thing with poison is that it ignores defense and just does its damage value, right? So Neptune's ATKx10 poison, if he has 1500 attack, would do 15,000 damage per turn, right? There's not something else special about it?
I'm trying to beat the 3rd floor of the Heavenly Palace of Heretics. The guy there has 30,000,000 HP, 7750 defense, and 50% damage reduction. So I'm pretty sure poison is worthless against him, because even though it'll bypass that defense it still won't dent the 30M HP.
When is damage reduction applied, before or after determining if something punctures defense?
Gravity seems like a good solution here, but I don't have enough gravity that'll be ready fast enough.
Poison is pretty much only useful against enemies with high defense and low HP, that don't throw up a shield against poison etc.
In most cases true damage is better since that also ignores defense and ignores the shield.
Against the Keeper in level 3 of the challenge, your best bet is to put together your best glass cannon team and do those millions of damage.
You can use delays against him to get some turns against him without his 50% damage reduction.
Rogue, meaning you level through the dungeon. Which isn't bad, and final boss there is Myr so that's fine. As long as I heal back up to full every turn she can't kill me, and she provides heal orbs with her attacks. Just have to wait out the 5 turn damage void then blow her up.
I think I'm going to keep pulling from the heroine machine rather than the godfest. I want that Ilmina, and I won't feel bad if I don't get her but get a different, useful orb changer I can skill up right now. On the other hand, godfests always manage to disappoint.

You know you're doing this backwards and the chances of you getting shafted on the Heroine machine are astronomically higher than the chance of regret on the REM, right?

Getting shafted is when I pull something I have no use for. I think there's one pull on the Heroine machine that wouldn't improve my teams? Meanwhile, the godfests have given me two Gamble Mages and a Neptune lately.

Not every pull is going to be gamble mage and Neptune.
This coming Godfest is an extremely strong one both days, but especially on Day 2 with Haku and Samurai Gods Series 2. Not to mention the GFE's strewn about.

Also overlaps the wisdom dragon carnival or whatever I think? May as well have x2 on those too.
There looks to be a ton of BS all over this thing, so I'm not stressing it. I went into floor 3, killed the thing in one hit, and said "that's it?"
Yog be OP, y'all.
I went full on Serial Killer mode, let him change attribute twice to be light, and then easily killed him with Dath, laughing maniacally the whole time.
I'm sorely tempted to do two godfest pulls tomorrow rather than heroine. I keep going back and forth on what would be better for my teams. Heroines do get a slight edge because I have a ton of the nightmare Street skill up things banked for them right now. Want that Ilmina bad.
Alt Pull: Jize, whatever Rider, and Blue Wisdom Egg. Hey, not bad, I can use Jize.
Main Pull: Khopesh, LMeta, Nene, Yog Sothoth(?!), Inahime
Stopping right there. Nene is a great pull but I don't remember who she's the ideal sub for (Ameno maybe?) but that Yog Sothoth right out of left field then Inahime as the cherry on top is just perfection.

I think F1 pre-empted with a 99% gravity, which basically turns DMeta into Destroyer of Worlds when there's no other pre-empt hits in the dungeon.
Seems like no skyfall was more useful when you didn't have combo-skip

Damn that was a lot of stamina.
Have you seen him? Now you have
Then I got past him and found Divine Queen Hera waiting for me with a massive pre-empt. Welp, good thing I have a shield for next time.
you'll really like it imo
I'd place a bet that we get an angry post somewhere around floor 3.

Now Floor 6 says "Special" and I'm side-eyeing it pretty hard.

For someone without a lot of powerful options the heroine machine is great imo
If my alt had Mel, that would be its strongest lead

Some pulls will be Chrono Turtle or Chester.

The Mean Green Machine.
Crunch Crunch! Munch Munch! Chomp Chomp! Gulp!
Masamune
Gryps Rider
Wow, that's the worst I've got in a while.
So Yog tomorrow then?
