    Three apartments

One small second floor apartment for $400 USD

One larger second floor apartment with smokers downstairs for 550

One dirty large apartment above a funeral home for $550

The small $400 would allow me to save $200 or $300 a month

Honestly, sounds like the small apartment might be what you need for now anyway, but not a bad idea to keep looking if you can.

Hey, with the funeral home your neighbours would be super quiet!

    Because they are dead.

So the person I'm seeing is coming over and later tonight we're going to play drawful 2 with another couple I'm friends with.
I guess this will reveal how we she knows me so far!

You can conceivably clean a dirty apartment. But funeral homes use a ton of toxic embalming chemicals that you do not want to breath on a daily basis.

    They are not though
They are really cheaply built as I found out even with a twin mattress it still was not every comfortable to sleep in
Still I found T's indifference to the coffin interesting as she bought it for a bed and found out it was not at all up to her expectations.

I found the closeness of all the sides of a coffin really comforting. My friend put the lid on to try and freak me out, but it felt oddly safe.

Deffo go for the small one

It allows you to save and will force you to think about your possessions as you don't have much space. Get rid of the junk you don't need.

If/when you meet someone, you can reconsider your location but right now the small apartment looks like the way forward.

Ha ha ha after so many bots messaged me about signing up for a site I finally confused one!
I asked if I could pay it in bit coins and it gave me a canned error confusion message
    finally!

What sorts of questions should I have asked a potential land lord?

I asked about utilities, I asked about the typical electric bill, I asked if the wiring was up to date, the refrigerator and stove are staying...

I asked about storage options, there's a private attic

I asked about off street parking

    ...

    Well one guy owns a large number of the homes near me like 1/4 or more on the 3 streets near my house {I think he owns 34 homes that's an easy guess}
But from the various rumors I have heard he wants a down payment of 3 months rent up front what that rate is well I have heard 3k to 5k

The reason he owns so many homes in the Economic collapse in 2008 a lot of people over that year bailed so years it was just this house and my neighbor in the area
We still have a wild/feral animal problem that probably will never go away

Like brainleech was saying, ask about deposit and cleaning deposit

Also look up crime rate in the building/area

when you say dirty, do you mean just needs a good cleaning, or do you mean stained carpet, peeling linoleum, and rusty fixtures?

edit: damn it, now I have NOFX in my head

Ask about cable and internet providers. You'll probably only have one option, but sometimes that option isn't who you think it is and it can be a dealbreaker.

i went on a coffee date on saturday and it was great and we shall meet up again after she is back from vacation

coffee dates are nice i should do that more, way more low key

my favorite thing though is uh she lives close to me and it would be nice to date someone who lives a short walk away

and tonight i am going on a date - she almost cancelled because she was busy and stressed out and hm i guess i convinced her not to and she seemed happy about that so that's good news

one of these will work outtttt!

I mean, I'm paying $1325/month for my 1 bedroom here in San Diego. Admittedly, it's in a great part of town, very walkable, and has vinyl hardwood floors and granite countertops in the kitchen.

It's also a steal compared to prices in the Bay Area, where I was living previously. I'm probably one of only a very few groups of people who could actually say that moving to San Diego made my rent cheaper.

So, I noticed a friend that I have a crush on is on Tinder. I've never really talked to her about dating stuff because I wasn't sure if she had a boyfriend or anything.

I'm just gonna wait and see if she likes me back. I'd feel like an asshat bringing it up just on messenger or something.
