You actually want your weather to be slower, to guarantee it is the one that is "set". If you lead with Pelipper vs. Gigalith, Pelipper's rain will go up first, and THEN Gigalith's sand will go up, and the sand will remain. Same goes for Tapu Terrains. So, please, by god, do not give your Gigalith extra Speed (although that is GENERALLY a good strategy for other Pokemon).
Also, don't consider Battle Tree to be the perfect testing environment. It is pretty good for a general "does this strategy work" test, but especially as you climb higher in the tree, the computer will literally start cheating and throwing preposterous strategies at you. If you read up on high ranking Battle Tree teams (like, >500 sequential wins), they're all about exploiting the AI instead of the more VGC-style "general strategy with options against a variety of opponents" style.

Yeah, the AI will pick direct counters to your team. Like, if your team has any weakness across all of them it will "randomly" throw that type at you non-stop. And that's before it just does bullshit with triple legendary teams.
And that is why people just use bullshit back, like giving them truant to alternate protect and dragon dance to sweep.
I've been breeding Litwicks, and I put up an imperfect but not terrible Modest Litwick, looking for a Ralts. Got a JPN region flagged Ralts with 5IVs in return. I'm gonna breed such an awesome shiny Ralts now. Masuda method here I come!
So excited right now! Gardevoir is my most favorite pokemon ever, and I've never had a really good one before, let alone shiny. It is last on my list of breeding, after I've gotten the skill down better.
How'd everyone do in the tournament this weekend? I didn't have many chances to play, and when I did I got my butt handed to me. It was great.
The Hoenn Starter Mega Stones are available for download if you got them from the April International Challenge- link at serebii, the Pokemon GL doesn't have the link published but it works.
You have to download the rules in game then sign up for the Pokemon GL (global link) website online and register your team from there. The process is kind of Nintendo convoluted heh.
The next one should be fun. Only pokemon under 1m (3ft) are allowed so it will be mimikyu eating a bunch of baby pokemon and pikachu clones faces.
Details for the next Battle Competition have been announced. This is the Tiny Tourney competition. This is a Double Battle competition using rules where only Pokémon under 1.0m (3'03") will be able to enter. Pokémon from transferred games can be used and Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Magearna cannot be used. Mega Stones are also not allowed. Registration runs from June 14th to June 22nd. Battles will run from June 23rd to June 25th. All entrants will get the Galladite, Gardevoirite, and Lopunnite Mega Stones. Download Rules for this competition are now available from Festival Plaza
Same with Magnezone and starmie. But I like Galvantula and it fits.
Edit:
Wishiwashi should fit too. I didn't initially think of it because I'm used to seeing it in its giant schooling form. Can I make a sticky web team? Galvantula sets the trap to slow things down, and wishiwashi muscles through things. Hmm....
Here is a nice listing. Not sure what I am going with heh. Need to find a mold breaker definately that can one shot mimikyu because without some of the heavy hitters it will just be the stronger. Porygon2 will also probably be seen a ton too.
Porygon2 will be scarier than normal because, with these restrictions, Trick Room will probably be a stronger strategy, and there are a lot less fighting types running around (I think the only fully evolved ones allowed are Primeape and Hawlucha?)
Yeah I am leaning towards using my shinies for funsies. I finally filled box 1 full with my own caught shinies the other day.
But I think I might try an eevee-z based thing. With perhaps Chandeleur as my burner and Wigglyftuff as a wall or Muk, mimikyu to be annoying and perhaps a shell smasher for my sweeper/eevee target... Oh and Porygon2.
Is Eevee a competitively viable option? I'm trying to think of Pokemon to use on a team for this Tiny Tourney. And by Eevee, I mean any of its evolutions.
Umm... Sylveon is pretty good thanks to Pixilated Hyper Voice, Vaporeon's a decent Special Wall. Jolteon's a solid Sweeper. That's about it, the rest are middling or worse.

Is only basic Eevee allowed to use the Extreme Evolution Z-Move, or can any of the Eevee evolutions use it as well? I've tried looking this up and all the videos and guides I've found show baseline Eevee using it, but it is also never explicitly said anywhere that the evolutions cannot use it. Just looking for some clarification.
Whatever it's gonna be, I doubt it's gonna be a mainline game on Switch. Nintendo's forecast for Switch hardware sales for this fiscal year is 10 million units. Given the Switch's momentum and the games that are announced, that already seems kinda on the low end. Adding a new Pokemon game to that and you can double that figure. Plus, we all know how slow Gamefreak are to adapt to new hardware.

Pokemon Stadium wouldnt really excite me. They need to mainline Pokemon on the Switch. They just need to. It would almost make my home buy another switch so the GF and I could play it.
If Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon include more of everything I wanted from Sun/Moon, then I'm on board.
Just a page or two back I posted my thoughts on Sun/Moon and basically my thoughts in a nutshell is that they have an amazing technical engine here, and the most beautiful Pokemon game yet, but they needed more of everything. More Alolan forms, more Z-Moves, more Mega Evolutions (including new Mega Evolutions).
I was very disappointed with how they stepped so far back from Mega Evolutions to begin with. Sure, they're slowly rolling them back out, but it should have all been there at the beginning (and then some).

I would have liked to do the 1v1 battle, but oh well. Are those mega evolution codes open to everybody now or just to participants in the event?

I could just run a team of all my perfect Raltses that I have.

Maybe this is just a tease for an E3 announcement?
Pokemon doesn't tend to announce at e3 tho. I suspect this is to announce Stars, maybe so they can do Treehouse stuff at e3.
Of course, could also be something like Pokken switch port, more mobile stuff, etc. Maybe even just like an update on Marshadow or something.
I'd certainly buy one.
A ton, which is why I think they're gonna save it for the next fiscal year.
My guess is a Switch app of the online TCG.
Pokémon Pinball would be my other guess.

Sounds kind of like an OOT - Majoras Mask deal where they reuse the same assets to quickly put out another game.
