What you want to do is head downstairs in any Poke Center (escalator on the right) and talk to the ladies at the counter. The lady on the right gives you the Pal Pad, which lets you enter FCs, and either of the other two lets you go online.
Once you've got it figured out, let me know your friend code; my guys are ~20 and would love to battle.

I like him, but he isn't the best water-type out there, I'm sure. I haven't done the hard number crunching like some people to figure out the best kind. For my dream team, I'll have a Blastoise filling the water niche.

An unbelievable lot. I tried to offload some of my growing herd of shieldons on the gamefaqs boards, and was told to come back when I had a shiny Arceus to offer (Though I did end up getting a full set of 2nd gen starters out of it, and none of them seemed to be hacked themselves).
Hmm, I could be down for a battle as well, though keep in mind my current main team is near or at level 40 and is fully evolved. Anyone fighting me can expect high-end moves and HARD HITTING Pokemon.
Hey, I have not used the Wifi capabilities to battle online yet. How is setting levels to 50 work out so far? Do the moves differ at all or stay the same?

Oh, does anyone want a Riolu? I got a female Riolu from the Quest for Lucario on the first try. More than willing to breed a few, though I'd like something nice in return.
