I love watching how in-sync they are at the start. All the screen transitions at the same time, etc. Wow

there was a point during last nights DKC Trilogy race where two players were in perfect sync. lasted about a minute or so but it was a sight to behold.

Oh, does anyone know why they went with different audio people this time around? The noise gate stuff has been really rough this year

Checked PowerUp Audio's twitter, seems like they just couldn't make it this time so the volunteers are muddling through, which explains the rough audio this year.

I think it was just someone in the audience, because I keep hearing reference to them grabbing a mic, which the couch would already be micced.

Edit: No, nevermind. It looks like it was on the couch

and after a bit of a slow down donations are picking up again. just past $1.9M. the goal is a whopping $2,000,000! here's hoping they hit it! HYPE!!!!

at the very least. be interesting to see how many donations that met the threshold were made after it was revealed.

likewise, they just showed a collectors coin/medallion that will be given to anyone that makes a donation of $50 or more during the Undertale run. things like that help.

also, i'm not sure if it was hyperbole but @Kai_San might be right in that prediction of hitting $2M before the run starts.

I had the stream on for less than two minutes. It went up 25k in that timeframe alone.

Edit - and out of nowhere that number doubled

It went up almost $10k in the screen transition away from the interview.

There are 200k people watching atm as well. I think thats really high for a twitch stream right?

  • Options
    DonnictonDonnicton Registered User regular
Yes, 200k is usually reserved for League of Legends championship streams. Not even Kripp reaches that high on a Hearthstone expansion release stream.

donations are not slowing down even a little bit. i've only really been following these events the last couple of years, but this year is the first where i've seen the donation tracker rattle up like this. there's been a few periods over the last couple of days, but these last few hours especially have just been phenomenal.

so how high are we going to get before the Undertale run even starts? seems $2.1M is an easy bet.

EDIT: aww just missed out. looked like $2.075.

Odd I was watching the Metroid race and completely missed the "kill yourselves" comment, what a dick bag. Glad GDQ took care of that fast.

Undertale! 2m! I've really come to love GDQ over the years, despite not being part of the speed running community at all. Such a great event.
