it's not really, when you consider the total donation amount is probably going to be over a million, maybe over 2 million. That's a realistic target for a big end-of-the-marathon event. The super metroid save/kill the animals bid war usually amounts to several hundred thousand too.

we had a blazblue tournament at my college one time where we used guitar hero guitars and the tilt actually performed special moves for some reason

Every time I watch one of these things I always think about trying to do a run of Ogre Battle: March of the Dark Queen.
The only run I've seen of it online didn't do two crucial things:
1: They didn't turn off battle animations and
2: They didn't turn the game speed to high.
Which is like. Babycakes shit.
So I figure I could probably run the game super fast if I figured out the routing for it and knew if/how the RNG in the game worked to get Princess Crowns early.
And then I'd probably want @Dubh on the couch because she's probably the only other person in the world that gives two shits about the fucking game besides me.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
I've only played Ogre Battle 64, but it's basically hopeless omnibrand loyalty at this point. Wish I was played March of the Black Queen when it first came out.
