A look at the month ahead, with known dates for events;
Somewhere in this timespan we'll be getting the next Torment, which is FF7, and the boss is Gi Nattak. It looks like there's a FF7 Lucky Draw banner to go with that event, not sure if that'll be one-time half price or unlimited full price.
Hmmm...I'm a little torn on this banner. On one hand, I badly want more stuff for IV (only Excalibur and Porom hat right now), and the top of banner 1 is pretty great. On the other, the SSBs are all usable but middling, Rosa's dress is a dead draw, and poor Rydia and Kain are stuck on the loser banner. I do have 250 mythril and nothing else is worth more than one draw tops until March (when Fang banner and anniversary shenanigans happen).
Leaning towards "draw exactly once and be prepared for disappointment".
It's a pretty dry looking 30 days, but there could be unknown stuff lurking in there. We'll probably have a Valentine's Day event with some mythril, that sort of thing. Just past the bottom of that screenshot is the run up to 2nd Anniversary where we'll get showered with stuff.

Oh, I'm aware. I'm just saying, if I was going to pull on FFVIII-Banner 1, I would not be unhappy with Squall's Jacket as a prize. It gives him something to do besides Fated Circle which is the best SB I have for him.

Both the CM and the U++ look like they could be annoying. I feel like I can probably handle them (native Echo's hastega/Shellga/Res boost), but I was kind of loosely planning a pull on banner 2. Was rethinking it lately since fuck using basically anything and everything there, but that kind of goes for just about every banner now since my phys and mage teams are in great places. Marginally improvable, especially mage side, but still really good.
U+/CM is four fiends, but only Lich and Kraken have any weaknesses. They're all vulnerable to slow, but with the individual low HP, that's not going to be that useful. It doesn't sound too bad at any rate.
The U++ though... resists all elements and AoE Stops at 123% Stop at 70% and 40% HP. Yuck.

There is a distinct lack of Cid SBs (any of them that are useful) in the survey.
I did my 100 gems, got Palom's SSB out of it. So that's cool. Then I find out two other people I know ALSO got Palom's SSB from 100 gems and that's kind of weird. One friend did a pull and got Golbez BSB and FuSoYa Robe, another did a pull and got two Cecil OSBs. So I think FF4 has been good to the people I know in real life that play this silly game.
100 gem got me 3* trash, but at least the update brought Alphinaud's MC3, which I immediately grabbed.

So BSBs: this made me sad since there's more to choose than I want. Went with Asylum, Transcendent Dream, and Duelist, since I missed both fairly critical Medicas, and Duelist never comes back. I also wanted Shura Dance for Refia, Weaponmaster for Firion, Meteor 16 for Maria, Veil of Wiyu for Alphinaud, Eiko's Hamelin, and Ashe's Defiance. Probably a few more as well. No Raines or TG Cid BSBs available.
SSBs: Yuna's Miracle Rod, Krile's Sheepsong, and Braska's Summoner's Dream.
Requests: missing 5 and 6* bard abilities
Record spheres for all the musical characters
missing FF11 characters (and their BSBs)

During the last FFIV did a 11 pull hoping for Rydia's or Kain's BSB... I only got Porom's medica, so I am kind of burned from pulling on this event, specially with the anniversay banners relatively close. I tackled some story dungeons and currently have 127 mythril, but instead of using it on pulls, should I purchase some ability space? I am currently cleaning my inventory so I have space in the vault to not worry about space, for now.

I have 3 OSBs and they are all holy
Well one is pure holy one is holy/lightning and one is holy/non but yeah
5*: Bahamut, the only one I'm missing.
4*: Steal Power is also the only one from the list I was missing. Then I picked Lifesiphon because you can never have too many Lifesiphons.
OSB: Terra's Scorching Flames, Tidus's Energy Rain, and...er...Squall's Sub-Zero Blast, I guess? The third one wasn't really memorable because the rest weren't super great.
BSB: Vanille's Transcendent Dream, Refia Dance of Carnage, and Maria's Meteor XVI. There were a ton more that sounded great (Duelist was definitely up there with Refia's), so this one was pretty difficult.
SSB: Krile's Sheepsong, Yuna's Miracle Veil, and Celes's Indonesian Blade.
Of the four SSBs on the banner, I think any of the others would have been a bit more useful, and obviously the OSB and Golbez BSB would have been choice. But at least the Yang Fist isn't a dupe Rosa Robe.
Edit: That Fusoya SSB would be pretty nifty in a multiplayer Dark themed party, though. Especially if people bring their Raineses and Jechts and shit.
I will probably file it away in the back of my mind for the day I ever accrue some good native Dark options. Or multiplayer theme parties
I think the only pull for me from now until 2AC will be the realm lucky draw later this month, and maybe a pull on FF8 Banner #2. I have zero boosts, utility, heals or Haste for FF8 and there's an awful lot of that stuff on the Quistis Doomtrain banner. Plus, you know, Doomtrain. I want Fujin's stuff but the rest of that banner is snooze city to me.
In the free comments, everybody should suggest 0 stamina events or cheap story level stamina. It's laughably impossible for a new player to catch up and do the events the way things are now. KH is pretty much on permanent rotation 0 stamina, so it's very possible if they felt like it.
FYI in the Japanese version, they have started (around the time of the second anniversary) doing periods of half stamina story dungeons about once a month. Combine that with the revamped daily dungeon difficulty that makes it a lot easier to get 5* orbs, and I think we're coming up on a period where it isn't going to be too hard to catch up as a new account

His BSB2 in a few more months is infinitely superior. enIce, and you finish the burst mode with 2 rounds of SSB grade commands.
