LOL!!! Okay, this is only slighty OT, but I wondered if I had held an event in the Travis rooms before. And I had!
This is back in 2012. My wife and I brought some of our anime cels for an exhibit that I put together single-handedly. There's even a quick view of some one-of-a-kind BioShock stuff in here, so there's some gaming content. (Though no board games.) The very beginning and end of the video include a quick pan around the room, which is Travis C+D combined (half of what steph is talking about). To give folks an idea of the size. The opening shot shows Independence behind the Disney princess cosplayers, which is right across the hall.
Ha! That's great I went by and physically looked at the rooms yesterday after work, and they're a nice size. It's not as wonderful as if we could have it in a ballroom, but that's many thousands of dollars. Something to shoot for, right?

Here's hoping this works out!

I think this is a good sign that steph's plans will work out. The universe wants us all to have a good time in Travis. I know I had a blast that weekend.
We don't want to take funds away from the Burn Society, so we won't have a presence there.
