I just bought a game on the humble store and selected a steam key but they sent me a download link
what the hell am I doing wrong?
If you already have the game in your Steam account, it might default to a gifting link which you can provide to someone else. When you buy a bundle and you already have the game in your Steam Library, they give you a gifting link instead of a steam key. Then the person who uses the gifting link gets the steam key.

It was neither of those. It was a new game I don't own.
I think I figured it out. If I go to Humble Bundle, sign in, click on purchases, click on Unredeemed Purchases, then find the game, then click on that, THERE'S the Steam key.
sweet christmas, I'm never buying anything from them again.

HB always acknowledge quite clearly when any DLCs are included with the base game (either as part of a single key or as individual keys), so I would say it does not.
Less than an hour before you broke your resolution? Don't worry, the Humble guys are good people.

I had fun with Turmoil during early access last year, but I haven't touched it since I completed a campaign. I'm kind of curious to see how much it has changed since then.
Legends of Eisenwald is great. It's kinda like a medieval King's Bounty, except not Disneyfied-to-hell medieval times but real mud and sickness and greedy bishops and angry knights and religious fanaticism and nepotism and deadly curses low-magic medieval times. Some of the quests can be a bit obscure but I'm sure there's guides for them somewhere. I got distracted and didn't finish it but I really enjoyed my 22 hours with it.

Jotun is a very cool game, although it didn't really capture me as much as I wanted it to so I only played it for an hour or two. Some of it seems very slow, and sometimes hit collisions seemed off. Animations were pretty stellar though.

I probably would have liked Jotun far more if it was just a boss rush instead of having me slog through hordes of enemies to get to the boss over the course of a long level in the case of the dwarf place.
Having beaten Jotun, I can say that dwarf level was the exception more than the rule.
There are four worlds with the game's tutorial starting in one. Each world has you recover two runes to unlock the way to that world's boss to complete that world.
The world and levels explore various aspects of Norse mythos as you fight or puzzle out your way to the rune. You can find hidden trees with the apple of life to raise your health pool and discover shrines to gain the favor of the gods and use their power to aid you in your quest. You can proceed through the worlds and levels at your choosing though there is a bit of a difficulty curve. The boss fights against the huge Jotun follow the same curve with the final two being pretty difficult.
Overall it's a pretty fun game but kinda short game (clocked in at around 7 hours, maybe), only had one really frustrating level to get some optional stuff, very pretty art and music, and yay female protagonist.
If you're looking for more of a hardcore boss rush game then I'd suggest Furi.
Some pictures (minor first boss and location spoilers):
And so, Monks & Mystics, 13th (!) dlc for Crusader Kings II is out today.
As much as I would like to return to this madness infested, barely medieval anymore world, I think I should wait for some discount, even if small. 15 $ should be better saved on future Witcher 3 buy.
Oh, who am I kidding, I will propably buy it tommorow anyway because I have absolutely no self control.

So what was the game?
I was not the one who claimed it, so the plot thickens.
