    No seriously, it's because this is the first time I don't have a design boss above me (woot!) so I forgot that I'm the one that's suppose to administer these funds. Though it's not entirely my fault, we have been getting a lot of stuff to do that requires stock photography.

    So I just got back from this training op at a MOUT town across the island. It was really awesome cause there were real Iraqi roleplayers that spoke fluent Arabic, and had real rifles with blank rounds. I got blown up by an IED, it was loud.

    So, I did my speedpainting demo at work today. I wish I had recorded it, because I got to take ideas just being thrown out by coworkers and adding that stuff as I went.

    What started as a cliff ended up as a cannon and a samurai shooting at 4-armed robot that was both crushing a helicopter AND flipping the viewer off.

    Whether anyone actually learned anything other than I'm kind of an idiot, is still yet to be determined. :D

    So this girl at my high school recently got awarded a scholarship for eighty-five thousand-fucking dollars.


    That's twice her tuition.


    The sad part? People like Nightdragon easily kick her ass when it comes to art. She has talent, but it's a natural progression sort of thing, not work-really-hard kind of stuff. She's been in art all of her life and she's pretty mediocre for how long she's been in this for.

    It really isn't fair.

    Was this just given to her or did she apply for it? There are a large amount of scholarships in the states and canada that aren't claimed every year. All you have to do is apply for them and they're yours.

    Like I said, lots of scholarships out there. Just need to apply for them. I got a $20,000 academic scholarship to go to boarding school in Canada.

    In Spanish the word for year is año. The word for anus is ano. Last night I was at a fair and they were selling some books, one of which caught my eye cuz I thought it had a typo... I thought it read "Next Year".... turns out it said "Next Anus"

    I picked it up and laughed "Hah! TYPO!!!".... wait.... wait... *looks at small print*

    Christ, that's ridiculous. The most my high school had given out for a scholarship was like $1000...and my town's full of rich bastards. I didn't get any scholarship thing from the school, unfortunately. I chalked this up, partially, to two of the art teachers absolutely hating me (they were horrible people though, haha...most students hated them)...but I think you had to kind of be "elected" by them before you were considered.

    Oh well. 15K/year will be fine for me. :D Thank you, SCAD!

    Speaking of which....I will be visiting there on May 11th-12, and flying back on the 13th! Yay yay!

    It's not even an official "Visitation Day" to me. :P
