Still a few fixes needed now that I'm looking it over.
It doesn't take into account your inability to lose a level right now for instance.
There's edge cases that just don't apply to me that I didn't take into account when I first threw it together.
Speaking of which, where does it look like you're going to end up? I see that 64 level 10s comes in just under 900, but I'm sure you have a fair amount of them with plenty of XP beyond level 10 (I haven't looked at your profile in ages).
65 level 10s with 1 million into the level is 975. I feel like you must be at least skirting close to max veteran chests, if you're not definitely there?
I thought I was coming in the high 900s, which is why I started this project as I was gonna see how much leveling I needed to do. But at the moment I seem to be peaking just over the 1000 mark so I'm getting every chest right now.
I'm working on getting the "XP to next level" column working completely accurately since that's the real big help imo. Basically helps you min-max character leveling before the patch drops so you can have a bunch of characters on the cusp of leveling once 2.0 hits and can quickly grab a bunch of chests.

Yeah, I'm planning to grab her after the price drop but then just not do anything with her.

Ugg, only 2.0 account level 91... Bleh. I have some grinding to do... Also player level 35, so close to that...
Also like yeah I've only played one game of Cassia but some things I noticed straight away:
- Her attack range is SHORT. Like yeah we all knew it, but you don't actually realize it til you get in game and see it. Guarantee you that you are going to be overestimating her attack range at first.
- Her cast ranges are also pretty short! Outside of her Q, I mean. Her Q has a HUGE cast range. But W and E? Pretty short. Especially E.
- Similarly, Ball Lightning's cast range is tiny! You gotta be right up close to someone to use it.
She's real good and real fun though! Looking forward to playing her more in the future.

The big thing I noticed when dicking around in Try Mode was something that a streamer or someone else pointed out which is that her AA animation feels kinda ... clunky. I don't know if you noticed or not but to me if felt really slow, especially since I was constantly trying to move around to keep her trait up.

That sounds a lot like Lunara's attack animation issues when she released? Would make sense since they're both heroes designed around stutter stepping.

Yeah, sure MVP calculator. I can see how their Greymane with his high kill volume was definitely the MVP. It OBVIOUSLY wasn't me sitting over here carrying my team.
...
I really hate not getting MVP with Azmodan. I do so much damn work. :P
Was finally able to log in real quick and just manually counter all my 1+ hero levels, ended up breaking 100 so I'll get at least one shiny box!
This is going to be a lot lower than your new number
Only if he has level 9+ heroes.
Oh? I thought the change in curve started earlier. I dunno, haven't paid much attention, the little picture looked different I thought
I think the first point where a 1.0 level converts into a higher 2.0 level is 8. Enough XP in level 8 1.0 becomes 9 in 2.0.
Officially the unluckiest CCG player ever.

Yeah, I think my 2.0 level will be pretty close to my current. My highest heroes are a few 6s, the rest are lower, so I shouldn't have many scaling bonuses.
That is awesome, shryke. Without the game up I'm just having to super ballpark things for now (might go to the effort later depending on this analysis).
With 63 level 9 heroes, assuming just the pittance of XP over 9 needed to push them all to 11 in 2.0, that gets me to 630. So max epic chests is a gimme. I know I have a fair number of heroes with at least the 1.2 million into 9 needed to be level 12 in 2.0. If all my level 9s were at that point, I would be at 693. That would be close enough where it would probably be worth making sure I play enough in the next few weeks to push it to 700. That said, it's probably an overly optimistic estimate, as I have a good number of characters I almost haven't played since getting them to 9.
Hmmm. I feel like I will be far enough from 700 that it probably won't be worth trying to push for it, but on the other hand, since my ballparking got me kind of close, I might go to the trouble to translate my actual in-game numbers into the spreadsheet to see how things shake out.
OK, I filled out my spreadsheet. Assuming I made no mistakes (and all the assumptions in the spreadsheet don't change by the end of April), I should be at least 717 next patch. So that's another legendary chest than I was expecting. What a pleasant surprise.
Edit: Turns out I have a lot more characters about halfway into 9 than I recalled! Also there were a lot fewer with sub-1 million into 9 than I recalled. Whoops!
I also have about a dozen heroes with the "close to leveling" highlight (great idea!). I guess I should stay away from them for the rest of the month.
So I'm thinking because I'm at player lvl 35, I'm going to want to grind out enough to hit 40. Also doesn't look like I'm at the point where I'm going to see the 2.0 scaling taking any of my characters about where they are at currently, for now. Not sure if I should leave my lvl 1's and 2's along and just play games with my highest lvl characters or if I should prioritize them. On one hand leaving them along, leaves them on the funner side of lvling; however, getting some lvls on them now means it'll take less exp to get them lvls than it would if I waited.
I don't intend to do a crazy grind because screw that, but I might as well do enough to be sure I hit player lvl 40.

I played several games with Cassia last night, and to echo some of what @Dibby was saying, her range is pretty short. Her W has some windup to it before going off, so it's not easy to land and while the E is easy to land, the best way to avoid it is by running to the left or right as Cassia can't pivot once Fend's animation starts.
She has SUPER good burst damage and sustain especially if you talent toward extra damage/healing on blinds and have someone like Johanna on your team.
I think all of her talents at 1 have something offer depending on your style and build, but I got a lot of good mileage from her activatable that gives 8 seconds of increased AA dmg to get anew experience lead going early.
Did not really realize how dramatic the scaling down of levels was until messing with the excel sheet. Lvl 11.5 abathur translates to lvl 21, regardless of all the loot changes I didn't really think about how little fun it is to play a hero past ten just based on that bar being ridiculous to fill. Looking forward to that change.
Had a game this morning on Haunted Mines, QM. Man, that game. Went over 30 minutes. For reference, here are the comps.
US: Cassia, Zarya, Valeera, Arthas, Thrall
THEM: Medivh, Tyreal, Varian, Nova, Cassia
Game gets going, and we do ok, but I notice early on we're just not getting any kills. Like, I'm the only one really doing Hero damage. And we're pushing lanes well, and we get both their forts down, and one of their keeps, and we usually split or win Mines, but it doesn't matter, because we just flat out cannot kill them. It was stupid. Varian went Taunt/Parry build, Medivh talented into his Shield and Polybomb, Tyreal took Sanctuary Ult. The amount of IMMUNITY that team was just ridiculous. We actually wiped them (except for Medivh) once post 20, and all we could do was 100-0 the mines, because we just couldn't win fights with them. At all. At one point towards the end I had 2 Infinite Bounce Ball Lightning's going at once, and it didn't matter, they still got our core and killed us all.
Crazy game. We did everything we could once it became clear we couldn't fight them, just won the map hard, and that last Golem would have won it for us, but they killed us on our core and we couldn't really do anything about it. Team was solid, nobody got toxic, it was just a straight up MM loss.
I think our Valeera could have adjusted and run Garrote on Medivh instead of always opening with a stun on Cassia or Nova, but a lot of people don't think of stuff like that.
Speaking of Valeera, I got her to 10 the other day. I've really come around on Spell Poison at 1. I think it's by far her best option. The slow is far more likely to result in a kill than some extra energy, and that's what you're going for with her. It also lets you use Ambush or Garrote as necessary depending on comps. I've come around a fair bit on Ambush build too. It's legit if you take the talents at 7 and 13 with Spell Poison at 1 to keep them from escaping you can burst hard. I like Garrote a lot as a situational opener on healers and people with strong escapes, like Murky or Medivh or Tracer.
I think the Stun is the right option to open with probably 70% of the time, but you've got to play a lot of Valeera before you really understand when those 30% of times are. I mean, even if I talent for Ambush, I'll still open up with the Stun a lot of the time, same with Garrote. But again, I think at 1 and 4 Valeera is pretty much locked in to Spell Poison and Initiative, you really can't pick anything else at those tiers that even close to as good.

I think her only bad talents are her W talents, they just don't offer enough. Building into W takes away so much damage potential that you could have gotten otherwise from building Q/E/AA. Early hotslogs data seems to support that notion as well, even if there's not a whole lot of data yet (100-200 games logged per talent).
But otherwise, I think her Q, E, and AA builds seem pretty legit. I gave Q build a spin yesterday, I wanna try E build at some point too. And yeah, the level 1 AA talent seems kinda nutso.
I knew Cassia felt kind a bad, but I didn't realize how bad it was until I looked at HotSLogs data on her. Wow. Yeah, she got released on the "bad" end of the Broken/Useless spectrum Blizzard likes to put out new heroes at.
I'm guessing health buffs and damage buffs, maybe some bug fixes? I know a couple of her abilities felt like they weren't working quite right when I used them.

It's kind of disappointing Ball Lightning is the only positive winrate talent in high level hero league, because I think Valkyrie is more interesting and should actually be better. Not entirely surprising though.
Yeah like, I was playing with Valkyrie today. In 3 games, I only got value in one of them.
Because every other time it'd be like...
*Uses Valkyrie on one of their squishos*
"Okay cool let's gettem team!!"
*enemy squisho walks away while only I am attacking them*
"T-team? Where? How?? Why????"
*glances over at team, team is literally attacking 5 different fucking targets*
"oh........................"
BUT. In the one game I did take Valkyrie it fucking wrecked. They had a Hammer and that was a free fuckin' pick every time. Plus we had a Butcher for follow-up stun! And Li-Ming and Ragnaros for nice chunky damage.
It's a good ult, but your team really does need to follow up. Ball Lightning is fire-and-forget value. It just does its thing, always, it can't whiff. Plus the level 20 is fucking insane.
Edit: Some other Cassia musings:
- Plate of the Whale is a good talent! ...If the enemy team actually is autoing you. Like I've been in games where the enemy team had like 2 or more autoattackers and I just wasn't getting stacks because I wasn't getting hit. So.... keep that in mind. I think Ring of the Leech is generally better because you're always going to get value from that.
- Having tried all three builds.... Q build. Q build seems the best, it's the safest and most consistent. E build can be devastating, but it requires such specific comps and it's really really risky sometimes even then. AA build is... yeah, not great. Charged Strikes is good. The rest of the AA build is meh.
- Cassia gets fucking shut down so easily by so many fucking Heroes, holy goddamn shit. Valeera is a deathknell because bursty ability damage + stun, Abby hat fucking wrecks you, anyone that can just get on you is going to ruin your day. Like I've been playing so fucking scared in so many games because I can't afford to go up and auto people. Her range is so short and being that close is really dangerous when they can just burst you down. Ability damage and stuns are so prevalent in this game, man.
She's fun and she seems pretty decent in like QM, at any rate, but yeah I think she needs some help. Her damage seems fine, I think. She could probably use a health/survivability buff. I don't care if they have to lop some of her Trait armor off in order to do it, her health is just so fucking low. And maybe the problem there is just how close she needs to be to hit people right. Because like, Valla and Jimmy have WAY lower health! But they also have higher ranges and Valla has an escape, etc. Actually no nevermind her health is fine I think the fucking issue is just her attack range making her super unsafe all the time always. Cassia needs to be right the fuck up on someone to hit them, fuck that 4 attack range. It feels so bad.
But otherwise it'd be nice if I actually get a team with a goddamn healer and frontline, and not queue into a team with a thousand stuns. That'd be super rad, thanks Blizz, from Dibby.

Cassia is definitely a niche hero. She gets shut down hard by ability damage (ranged or melee, doesn't matter). But she similarly shuts down AA heroes, especially in a 1v1. I don't think she loses against a single AA hero, at least not that I've seen.
I played Tracer into her and kept dueling (even in team fights) to see if there was a way around her kit, and there really isn't. Even if you can get her to miss the blind, she out-trades super hard due to her trait. Literally all she has to do is stutter step, and if the majority of your damage is AA, you will get dumpstered.

Now out of Beta!
OK, here we go. This is the version I've fixed up all pretty. Should work perfect now for both account level and XP needed for a hero to hit their next level in 2.0.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xSmtMPZBZR_hVhOmMK2J-US_4fIUfWWUnMWwdC9cyj4/edit?usp=sharing
There's 2 sheets, one for entering XP so far at that level, one for entering XP needed to hit the next level.
Tell me if you find any issues.
I also cleaned up all the messy code so I feel sexually satisfied by how the formulas in the sheet look now.
Super minor, but Sylvanas should only have one N.

Even if you can get her to miss the blind, she out-trades super hard due to her trait. Literally all she has to do is stutter step, and if the majority of your damage is AA, you will get dumpstered.
