Rick, you posted 11 times in extreme close succession. WAY step back. Jay doesn't have to like it just because you do. He definitely will not if part of his experience is someone sending almost a dozen messages in a few minutes saying he's wrong about everything.
Also this on next characters Im just to copy and paste this as is so there is no speculation onmy part

Edit: No all of them seems to playable heroes. For example, Hulkbuster is listed as "playable character", but he is not exactly a hero. Warmachine got few files with his name, its exactly 10. It seems he will be playable but like Hulkbuster he will be summoned by Iron Man.
Same thing about Wasp. It also can be related with some heroes that are still early in development, and that would explain why they don't have more files on the beta.
Edit 2: these are the characters that have a good amount of files, and even skill's names: Black Panther, She-Hulk, Kate Bishop and Winter Soldier. I would bet those 4 + Hawkeye are the next 5 playable heroes.
Also spoiling this for Villians mentioned
Other Character Mentions:
Frenzy (Probably an enemy class)
Ultron
Red Hulk
Deathlok
Vindicator
Monica (another Captain Marvel also coming to the Disney+ Show WandaVision)
And quit defending destiny thay game was shit for a year or two at least
The core gameplay and world were great, but it took a while for extra stuff to do to appear.
I’ll be interested to see how the Avengers develops in the first few months. MMOs live and die on how quickly new content is added, and the end game content.
I hope it lasts. It’ll be good to have another action mmo to dip into from time to time.

Sorry, I don't mean to break up all the personal attacks by talking about the actual game here, but remember when I said earlier about how awesome it would be if I understood what I was doing when Iron Man would beat the crap out of a guy, knock him up in the air, then rain repulsor blast down on him.
I did the HARM III mission, and lost. It actually required me to know a bit about what I was actually doing, instead of just mashing buttons.
Well, it started to click, and after understanding the game more and also understanding what I was unlocking and why, it was awesome.
Rocket uppercutting to break blocks. Ground smashing to stun a group of enemies. Dodging attacks and countering with spinning repulsor blasts. Staggering enemies then finishing them off to get a health and damage buff. Rapidly taking out fly units with precision repulsor shots.
I did all that..and for the most part, my brain was making my fingers push the buttons in the correct sequence to do what I wanted when I wanted.

Iron Man felt like Iron Man.
And I repeat, it was awesome.
The fighting system is pretty good once it clicks. I wish there were more supervillain/tough mook fights that let you concentrate on them. My biggest complaints so far revolve around the way ranged enemies keep breaking up the flow, especially since the inability to break out of animations means you often can’t dodge.
There’s a really good game in here, and the demo made a sale. I hope they tweak the enemy mix before launch, because fewer ranged enemies would really let the fighting system sing for melee players.
I think there's a pretty core reason the button mashing comments started to come up and that is yeah, you can make it through a lot of the beta without really knowing what you're doing. Note that this is a slice of very EARLY gameplay. You're not supposed to have mastered the game in the tutorial, no game with skills you unlock works this way. Most of the people I've seen commenting on it put in about an hour or so so they probably made it through the story missions and MAYBE a war zone or a couple drop zones. They're probably sitting at level 4 or 5 on 1 or 2 characters. Out of 50, mind you (15 in the beta). The early game can definitely be steamrolled but then there's hints at the end of the beta missions that there will absolutely be challenging content: To Tame a Titan's boss is huge and shows that there'll be more unique "boss" encounters, though not super challenging on Normal you absolutely can't just wail away on it till it dies which is nice. HARM Challenges (especially 3) will mess you up if you zone out, there's a lot of nasty combos of enemies that show up and if you don't learn how to deal with them properly you'll die. Flat out. It along with the "secret" Vault mission are essentially their way of saying "Ok ok, so you can kill trash enemies, how about we turn that difficulty knob up a little".
imo, it's pretty bad form to judge an entire game's difficulty on what is essentially the tutorial section. I mean, unless it's a souls game, I guess.
I feel you on the dodge. I wish the dodge button would cancel animations to allow more fluidity when it comes to dodging. I also suggested that they reduce the range on ranged enemies. You take a lot of fire from way offscreen, and it doesn't feel as good. I don't enjoy being in part of a huge brawl, and then taking 10 lasers from a guy so far away I can barely see him. I do enjoy having to be situationally aware and pop range guys who are shooting at me, but they have to be sort of...in the scene, if you know what I mean.
Watching the Avengers movies you don't have a lot of situations where people are sniping at the heroes for hundreds of feet away.

Obviously the MCU hasn't gone into the Avengers true weakness yet.
OK so I'm in the beta and Once I got the mission table idk how to progress things any further. I can like 8-10 missions but I don't know which ones push the story forward, if any.

CONFUSED, HALP.
Nah, you're basically done with the story parts of the beta. You can just do whatever you want. Definitely do the HARM Challenges (there's 3 of them) to unlock the 2nd beta nameplate. For other missions to kind of see what the game is about you should still do the Hulk iconic mission and each of the war zones once, but those are all optional and don't give anything that carries over into the main game. Oh and the villain sector!

excellent thank you!
I'll do the HARM things. Villain sector just crashed to desktop on me so that's not great but otherwise this is really fun.
-HARM Rooms
-PNW Arc Reactor mission
-Eastern Seaboard War Zone
-PNW War Zone again to get gear and unlock the Arctic War Zone
-Arctic War Zone
-PNW Villain Sector
At this point you could quickly unlock the Arctic War Zone again and use the DNA keys from the Villian Sector to get the special chests from there or you can call it quits.
Also if you are using Hulk do the Iconic mission first.
I dont even really blame North like really the casting director really fucking blew it on that one.
I wonder if it was his expertise with mocap that helped, same with Laura Bailey and Troy Baker. Although I dont find either of their performances as annoying, hell I can hardly tell its Baker.
IM's "Bustin" line is straight up something Deadpool would say its very *sigh*

Yeah, one of my complaints up thread was that IRON MAN is basically DEADPOOL in this which is annoying. And it's not at all Nolan North's fault. Someone wrote that "Busting makes me feel good. . ." line and it wasn't North.

I know it is the VA's fault they got cast, but this cast was really them just going down the list of most well known voice actors and calling them up to give them a lead role. Like I don't begrudge any of those folks their talent, but sometimes the job goes to the big guys in the room over someone who may have killed it. Thor sounds painfully generic in this.

Thor is Travis Willingham who has been Thor's voice for like a decade
EDIT he started in 2012 they replaced the cast from Avengers EMH for the roles going forward
If they plan to add as many heroes as it seems like they're aiming for they will have to pull in more people, and likely some lesser known greats. Or at least that's my hope. I know they're not the "core" cast but they've said each hero will get an arc of sorts so won't just be like...battle lines either.
Videos of Cap and Thors Character Cards and full skill trees, there is some significant cool shit IMO in those trees, also Caps lvl 39 costume is great (gimme the Winter Soldier MCU costume damnit!)
I don't personally care about spoilers, but I do think posting potential DLC stuff/later game skins and such is poor form before the game is even out. I'd just toss it behind a spoiler for those who wanna see it themselves
I agree, I mean they're videos and the fact that those two characters are in the game isn't a spoiler so you don't actually see anything in the thumbnail but it's probably best to be on the safe side.
Anyway, I was watching these earlier and turns out the skill selectors are on the 2nd page too, I thought they'd be a 3rd page thing but looks like there's a ton of choice in terms of how you build characters. Basically you can only choose 1 out of 3 to fill a "slot" at any time. You can swap it without any extra cost once you've unlocked them but you need to make some choices about which ones best suit your overall build/playstyle. I'm a little surprised there's so many, but that's pretty neat.
they are notoriously strict with costumes so I bet her casual look is probably cause that's where they get the most leeway cause she hasn't been around very long to get a depth of "superhero" costumes like the others do.

HOLY FUCK apparently you can use the rocks hulk picks up to kills shields in one light hit
That's literally game changing
Also spoiling this for Villians mentioned
I was really grumpy about the long heavy attack windup to smash a shield, but once I unlocked Kamala's heavy air combo that got way better.
