BTW, does the game track what weapons and frames have been leveled on an account, or do I need to find a gdoc to check stuff off?
Edit: I did notice it tracks what items are in your inventory when you open a relic. That's a welcome change.
It does track. On the same console where you activate quests there is a universe information center. In the weapons section you can see which weapons you have levelled to which level. Same thing with other levellable items.
Thanks, I'll hop in there and check next time I'm on.

Would be nice if you could set up shop in the bazaar without being ingame or active at the time and just sell your stuff at set prices for people to buy.
Gotten too used to the luxury of MMO auction houses.
With the Plains of Eidolon on the horizon, I'm curious... What do you want your first Zaw to be?
Impact machete sounds like a fun time.
I run a Growing Power build, so my main priority is to see if I can create a zaw that can beat the Lacera at status chance times attack rate. I don't care if it does crap for damage, just as long as I can get those two values really high.

Finally unlocked Inaros and so far, its pretty impressive.
I love tanky frames and his mummy vampire skillset has been pretty damn effective in that regard.
We'll see if I finally found something that can tear me away from Rhino for awhile.
Kulstar is a really fun gun to use when you are dead or want to be dead.
Kulstar is simply the gun for when you want everything to be dead. The enemy, you, everyone.
Inaros gets away with it because thematicly he's a warframe of death/undeath so the kulstar is fooled into believing that he's already dead and doesn't need to be killed.

Playing Destiny is making me want to get back into Warframe. How hard is it to catch up if you haven't played in a bit / is there a PS4 group here?
Used to love running Mesa, but I'm sure she's considered bad .
Mesa is a good frame. Honestly all her abilities are good (something which can't be said for all frames) and she features a mix of offensive and defensive powers. She's not top tier, but good.
P.S: In warframe everyone (except the crazy people who have unlocked all ze weapons) is catching up all the time.
Depending on how long ago you stopped playing you might need to finish a few new quests to unlock all the content that everyone else has unlocked (primarily the stuff associated with Natah/Second Dream/War Within). These are generally fun.
You should also work your way through the new planetary Junction system. This mostly relatively low effort->high reward content.

So I've been leveling up Mirage. I think this is the first frame I genuinely kind of dislike. It never feels like a great time to use anything but the number 4 ability.

You should have played her when Prism didn't have los.... all of the blinding disco ball fun times.

@darmak The OP should really have PICK EXCALIBUR FOR YOUR STARTER FOR THE LOVE OF GOD somewhere in big bold red text. Because holy crap is it awful to farm. First you have to farm 4 drops from a guy that sometimes shows up in 3 maps out of the whole solar system. Then you have the 10 minute at the fastest boss fight. Then you have the normal chance for a part to drop.
I started with Loki and I'm convinced that was the best choice. Excalibur was kinda shit back then though.
This was also back when loki's Disarm ability litterally "disarmed" infested enemies.

I started with Mag who is arguably terrible, but I loved her at that point. The issue is Mag and Volt are insanely easy to get. Excalibur is awful. Worse than Kela de Thaym, and that's saying something.
If I'm low level, and in constant need of the rare resources, is a smeeta kavat still a good companion? Or did they nerf it and I should just stick with carrier?

Good news, Vacuum can be equipped on all sentinels now, so you're not forced to use Carrier all the time. Carrier's main gimmick is ammo mutation now.
Bad news, Vacuum still can't be equipped on cats or dogs which still makes them inferior to sentinels convenience-wise.
That's one of the most frustrating things about DE, they know that 95% of players use Vacuum all the time, and people bug them constantly about making Vacuum universal, but they still won't do it for some reason.
Oh yeah, rare resources. If you have some form of loot radar, that'll help you get all the rare drops without missing anything. Vacuum would make the gathering more convenient but not really be necessary.

Managed to get all the parts for Saryn Prime without actively grinding for them in void fissures thankfully.
Vanilla Saryn can go fuck herself. That boss is a pain.

Yeah, I too had Saryn Prime well before Saryn. Bad news is you also miss out on Chroma by skipping Kela. No prime for that either. I can assure you that the excalibur grind is somehow at least twice as bad as Kela. Takes longer to get the points to challenge them, and the boss fight is very long.

Was lucky enough to get the part needed for Chroma in a few runs.
Kind of bummed I'm not enjoying Chroma as much as I thought I would though. He has a killer design but just something about his abilities that aren't doing it for me.
I think it might be that his defense boosts are time limited and he's more energy hungry than some of the other frames I've taken a liking to.
If you have a twitch account make sure to sync it with your warframe account on the warframe site, since apparently you'll be able to get drops watching warframe streams whenever the person gets an achievement.
I'm planning on giving this game another shot once the PoE expansion content arrives. Are the notes in the thread OP still up to date, or is there a more up to date resource I should consult?
You are all talking about bad bosses and what not to get frames...
But you are forgetting the king of fk you....

There is no reason what so ever to go for normal Ash, when the prime is so much easier to get it's a joke.

Ash prime is vaulted though... so I'm going to have to say not easier to get for me. Maybe I'm an outlier but I could have built five ashes so far. All collected while farming other things.

Rhino doesn't survive the lack of safety inherent in a Kulstar. Inaros does. Rhino also doesn't have pocket sand and a delete button.

Or are Inaros! "Oh no, I missed and slightly damaged myself with backblast. I guess I shall have to pocket sand someone then stab them in the face."
Edit: @Dr. Chaos In case you might not know, the delete button is as follows.
Pocket sand blinds enemies.
Blinded enemies are vulnerable to finishers.
There's a dagger mod that makes finishers do lethal damage.
Basically, you can 2-button kill damn near anything in the game. (Bosses and sentients excluded, I think.)

Need to clear void missions, earn more MR, relics, all the things.
Anyone play late PST? Like around 9 or 10pm? I'm often with Aus or NZ players around then.
