It's bandwidth, not processing power that's the issue. They'll work exactly as PS3 games have (which incidentally I've had no issue with).
Nice addition. I'm guessing this is to compete with Microsoft and their new subscription service. Ps now subscription for a monthly fee with ps3 and ps4 games sounds a pretty good proposition.
I'd still rather download the games like you can on Xbox.
Man, Capcom does not fuck around with RE ports... RE Revelations is getting PS4/XBone ports now.
You're totally right. Capcom has been riding Resident Evil so hard over the past few years that up until RE7, the RE name had become a warning to stay away (or else be ready to accept performance issues, shoddy porting, etc.) - which is part of why RE7 was such a revelation. I guess now that RE7 has come out to widespread acclaim, they can keep releasing half-assed ports and capitalizing on that renewed brand recognition. Or maybe I'm just jaded and someone who has been playing these ports will disagree.

- Batman VR
- Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes (but you need two people in the room, one with a helmet, the other with the printed manual that you can get from the site)
- Darknet VR
- Resident Evil 7 (THE killer app)
- Rez Infinite (don't use a Move with this)
If you can get it cheap(er):
- PS VR Worlds
- SuperHyperCube
- Fruit Ninja (needs 2 Move controllers)
- Pinball FX VR
For free:
- Invasion (5 minute movie)
- Allumette (10 minute movie)
- Kitchen (3 minute Resident Evil 7 taster, recommended)
- Playroom VR (has quite a few fun minigames for multiple players)
- Hyper Void (when you "bought" it when it was a PS+ freebie; but you need to download a free VR addon)
- miscellaneous demos
-
Avoid:
- Weeping Doll
- Dying : Reborn VR
- VEV
Movies :
- Doctor Strange (the 3D is in your face and amazing!)
I know nothing about Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, as I haven't played it.
I just saw the 3D Blu-Ray of Doctor Strange in my PSVR headset, and the 3D was AMAZING!
The Cinematic View feels like it is 8 inches from your nose (I was using the Large View), but the 3D is astounding.
The only silly thing is that the screen slowly drifted left, so I had to hold the Options button occasionally to reset the view; it was obvious as I sat in my recliner chair, unlike on a stool where I could shuffle slowly and unknowingly leftwards
For anybody still having issues with PS4 download speeds after opening router ports:
My download for For Honor was about 6 hours. After I changed the DNS to Google's servers instead of automatically selecting them, it dropped down to 1 hour. I highly recommend doing this and seeing if it helps.
Go set up your internet connection, and select custom. You can have everything automatically detect except for the DNS settings. Change them to:
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
Finish the setup and hopefully watch your download speeds go way up.

I did this on my cable modem directly a couple years ago, all my routers pick up these settings via DHCP and pass it on to my devices via the same, never looked back. MUCH better than Comcast's crap servers.
Werewolves Within - best social VR game ever (at least for now)
Thumper - crazy rhythmhell fun
Tumble VR - puzzling puzzler
VR Worlds - London Heist & Danger Ball make it worth it
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes - only get this if you have local co-op players
Check out free stuff on PSN:
Playroom VR - loads of mini-games, many are co-op
Allumette - touching "movie" inspired by The Little Match Girl (dont expect a happy ending)
INVASION! - short little mini-movie/experience
Gary the Gull - almost a waste of time, but hey, it's free!

I agree with this, but also don't at the same time. I recognise lots of people have issue with game streaming but it's been pretty much flawless for me.
To be able to hop from game to game at will, especially with friends round, is pretty huge for me. No downloads, no installs, just straight on to the game.

Was downloading a 2gb patch for No Man's Sky and after trying that, it jumped from 7 minutes down to 100 seconds. I don't have anything huge to try it out on currently, but I started a download for Mad Max just to see and it would've been done in 2 hours. That's way down from the normal 3-4 hour times!

Oh cool. I didn't realize you could use PSVR cenematic mode with other gaming or video devices as long as you HDMI-out to it. Saw a setup of someone playing Breath of the Wild that way.
If you're playing on a difficulty above normal, prepare for a kind of bullshit boss fight!
I'm playing on Hard. It's had way less BS moments than the first one, but it still has a few. The one in Shambalalala where you drop down into a river right behind 3 dudes is one that comes to mind.
For folks that were concerned about it, I got an alert regarding the credit from the February promotion, so make sure to check your notifications and grab that dough when you get home.
Danganropa 1/2 Reload is probably the most significant release this week

Played some more Darknet VR, and went one difficulty higher than the normal one, because my skill rating couldn't get higher and I wasn't earning a lot of money...
The harder networks are already more complex and bigger, but it is still quite doable...
However, I need 500 BTC for the next upgrade, and I wasn't happy with networks that only gave around 75 BTC.
Now networks are displayed as globes, and they are all reasonably small; I looked around and behind me was a humongously huge globe, called "NSA network" which would yield 300 BTC, so I thought "Easy money!"
I was horribly mistaken! The network had networks inside the network, and when I started weakening the root node, than thing started spitting out something that started to repair nodes so that they had shields and firewalls again...
And there were barely any "easy money nodes" so I could not buy extra virusses...
I got horribly defeated...
But what a fun game! On the normal difficulty you might think "Ha! 20 to 30 minutes to hack this network, easy!" but then you get networks where you have to start hacking fast
Once again, I recommend it to anyone who has the PSVR.
There's a pretty neat 2-for-1 deal going on with a decent selection of games. I got my $15 credit, and decided to pick up Rogue Stormers cause it looked neat. It's part of the deal so PSN was like "Ok, now pick another game". Settled on Oxenfree. $5 out of pocket for both games

Dirt VR is the best racing be experience to the point that people are g buying full on driving peripherals.
Resident Evil 7 in VR is something special. Absolutely terrifying. Way more than normal. I can't play more than half an hour
All I want is RE2, it was always my favorite.
I swear I bought this before seeing the Neptunia VR announcement today. >_>
Haha, that's some ironic timing.

I never finished RE Revelations buuuut I'm not sure I care enough to try at this point. Raid mode sounds like a massive chore.
I think the only Capcom remasters I'd really care for at this point are Dragon's Dogma (so long as the framerate is decent) and an Onimusha trilogy.
Dragons Dogma did get a remaster. It's just on PC.
