Should I just get all the STR accessories then? Or atleast both STR rings?
I see the toolkit recommending me the Tank ultima Necklace, but isn't DPS necklace better for me since it has STR?

I don't have Minos Lux yet, but I am working towards it, adding the last 6 points into ACC since I have too much SkS.
VIT gives tanks all the benefits of STR plus more HP. It is strictly better as a stat for them.
If you can take the HP loss and the STR ring has better secondary stats then the trade is worth it. If a ring is parry/sks then fuck that, get the crit/det one with STR and meld a Vit V to it

New glamour looks great.
Not nearly as much of a plot-twist roller coaster as 2.55 went out with though. This set the hooks for 4.0 but it lacks the oh shi- that led into 3.0. Not sure if that's good or bad.
The Yda bit was interesting, but it's less of an impact if she was impersonating her sister since before you ever met her (all the way back to the literal first fight in 1.0). I did expect her mask to finally be coming off though, as I've been thinking it's her sparring with WoL in the Stormblood trailer (mainly on account of being blond, monk, female, and her face having not been shown).
I'm wondering how Nero intended to backstab everyone... though I suppose it's possible he doesn't want the power for himself after the last time he tried that ended up with him almost consumed by the Void. Or more likely he wasn't going to turn on you until after Omega had contained the threat... because he doesn't want another calamity mucking stuff up any more than you do.

As far as the game's timeline goes, you're just doing things out of order or it's a pocket time travel. Kinda how they position the stuff like the dailies. You're merely reliving memories not running the place again.

As a newb, anything I should watch out for when I start leveling, or should I just jump in and start swinging?
It's pretty straightforward. Just work the main story and avoid most, if not all of the side quests. You can get overwhelmed with low level quest markers, and the rewards for most of them are garbage.
Basically if the dude has a piece of gear you can use, do it, otherwise don't bother.

That's true, and I read that, but it doesn't state that you need to apply a retail key to an account before you can enter the referral code. At least I didn't notice it in the fine print.
It also doesn't state that you can't do it with a trial account. I thought I read that you could, but I don't think that's the case.
Finished off the heavensward msq last night. Good stuff.
Now I only have my goals of leveling all jobs (combat, crafting, and gathering) as close to 60 as I can before Stormblood.
Crafting jobs are all about 30. WAR, PLD, SCH/SUM, WHM, and MNK are at 60. All other combat jobs are at least 32. Gatherers are low 20's. A long road ahead but it'll be fun. I think I can get close, at least with the combat jobs, if not the others.
So as a plot question... (Heavensward spoilers through current patch)
Do you think they have any plans for the remaining dragons of the first brood?
Bahamut and Ratatoskr are long dead and Nidhogg recently so. Vidofnir is alive but has lost both his eyes now I think? Tiamat is imprisoned in Azys Lla and resolved to remain for all time in penance for summoning the primal Bahamut.
But that leaves two children of Midgardsormr unaccounted for. Though I suppose Shinryu could be cause for them to appear.
