I'd be interested in a Shia lebouff but only if he gets to write and direct also
I'd be interested in Shia, but only if he has to watch every single viewing with every single person that views it.
With Max Landis and Jared Leto, right?
"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor My new novel: Maledictions: The Offering. Now in Paperback!

I do not like horror and thriller movies because they put my mind in bad places.
Now I have to endure my feed discussing get out forever.
This will be as bad as inglorious bastards.
But ultimately, I'm glad an African American actor and director get to hit it big with a new perspective on these genres, new fears and narratives to exploit.
If the choose your own adventure Netflix shows/movies are anything like the choose your own adventure books of my childhood, I expect to be deluged with stories that have the main character meeting a horrible end over and over again.
Seriously I never once naturally achieved a "good" ending in any of those books.

There's a bad guy coming. You are a secret agent. Do you try to beat him in hand to hand combat (page 54) or hide under the table (page 9)?

The guard reveals crucial information. Unsatisfying coward choices pay off again!

The guard is Jet Li. He pounds your face into hamburger and then calls the other guards over to laugh at your pathetic loser face. Your superiors are busy regretting they trusted you. Bad End
Note: Page 54 is a hub page that is used countless times because the author is lazy.
Someone sent me a bunch of clips from negative reviews of "get out" by white people. One line in particular struck me. They call it a "movie for democrats". Dont that just sum up the current political climate completely? A movie is not "for" anybody and it bums me out that someone would take a look at challenging art and instead of truly considering what is being said and why they'd just go "oh this doesnt reinforce by beliefs so it isnt for me".

Get Out is very much a movie about the kind of racism that is seen among "well-meaning white liberal" types, so I guess I could see an argument that it would have more of an impact on Democratic and Democratic-leaning white viewers, maybe causing them to evaluate themselves and look inward regarding how they view and act toward minorities.
But somehow I doubt that's the point that reviewer was making.
I think it would have been in the press release if that had been announced yet
His public image has changed so much, and audience reaction was so mixed towards him at the time, I could see them setting up a different successor. I'm potentially fine with either option though
Going forward-- I think optimally, they recast Indy and go back to the thirties, but I'm not sure they'll actually do that. They could always go with Mutt's son (or daughter) or grandson (or daughter) and set future movies closer to present day-- kind of ripping off Uncharted, but still.
Or do both: recast Indy, have his 30's adventures in parallel with a descendent of his
I think a few Republicans would get a kick out of Get Out on the surface before they work out the implications.
Marty: The future, it's where you're going? Doc: That's right, twenty five years into the future. I've always dreamed on seeing the future, looking beyond my years, seeing the progress of mankind. I'll also be able to see who wins the next twenty-five world series.

If you don't like the movie, there's a good chance it's because you're one of the bad guys in the film.
Not just "I didn't like it because I don't like scary movies" or whatever, but "I don't like it enough to make a review about how bad it is"
I honestly don't know which I'm more excited for: Denis Villeneuve's take on Blade Runner or his take on Dune. I am unreasonably excited for just the prospect of a good Dune film.
I mean, I love the 80's version, but not because it's good.

I still haven't seen Get Out yet. My local theater generally won't show a black-led film regardless of how well it's doing, as long as there's a white-led film to show. This happened with Blade as well, though I think Titanic was in its millionth week of re-release at the time.
Anyway, this just goes to illustrate what I was about to get at: this seems like a movie that should be shown in high school classrooms. I know R-rated films are usually verboten (there were a couple shown back when I was in high school), but what I'm hearing about Get Out makes it sound like it may be, strangely, as topical as a film like Roots or some made for TV mess about the Civil Rights movement.
A couple of my friends and I watched a trailer for it a couple weeks ago, and the opening lines alone: "your family knows I'm black, right?" and the girlfriend's response were so dead-on that I and one of my friends immediately started laughing. I've had this conversation more times than I can count. Almost verbatim.

Killing Indy just doesn't really fit the tone of the movies. The good guys don't die in Indiana Jones movies.

He is! Though news just came down that he's taking a break, first:
The problem right now, and something I want to change, I worked very fast. I did PRISONERS, and then after that, in the past six years I have done five movies -- which is not a good idea! It's too fast. And I learned a lot, I learned so much, for the time now I need just a little time to digest. After BLADE RUNNER, as I'm working on DUNE, I would love to just digest and then come back with more energy for DUNE with fresh ideas. I need that right now! And so I need distance a little bit.
After he made Prisoners, he was asked by Alcon Entertainment what he wants to do next and his reaction was...
I said, “DUNE,” Spontaneously. I know there was competition to get the rights, but I always said to myself, and I'm saying it to you, I can't believe it will be a thing. There's no screenplay right now, but that will be my dream!
So I'm changing my anticipation from "WHEN this comes out" to "HOPEFULLY it comes out," but I'm not doubting too much.
Now I'm reading a set report from Alien: Covenant and I'm getting pretty hyped.

This sounds really fucking interesting, I hope this feature becomes a breakout hit. Was it just the Clue/Cluedo movies that did this before?

Naw , more as a sequel to when Shia marathon'd his entire movie library, time to step it up Shia.
DO IT
I caught some of the end stream and that guy looked the high you can only get from sleep deprivation
Maybe this was how Nicholas Cage's movie Next started out.
As someone who enjoyed Indiana Jones 4, I'm so ready.

I thought 4 had some real highlights
I'm ready to give them another chance, that's for sure
If nothing else there'll at least be a cool trailer with the main theme or something
pretty low, I would think
Is Shaia in this one?
