The comic specifically said "local" though.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
I think a common argument is the vanishing middle class and an increasingly large populace who doesn't work a 40 hour work week. The former removes access the resources to do "classic" local activities: sports leagues, adult clubs like the Kiwanis, and the latter removes access to time, or at least a consistent time for everyone. That's arguably more a feature than a bug, since theoretically this forces people to "free," off-schedule activities like church.
Of course, this would all be true if not for the Internet. I know that literally all the non-work friends I made in the last five years came from a geek-themed meetup group.
You know what? Nanowrimo's cancelled on account of the world is stupid.
He [Putnam] then asks the obvious question "Why is US social capital eroding?". He believes the "movement of women into the workforce", the "re-potting hypothesis" and other demographic changes have made little impact on the number of individuals engaging in civic associations. Instead, he looks to the technological "individualizing" of our leisure time via television, Internet, and eventually "virtual reality helmets".

DC is getting interesting and by interesting I mean awful.
Seems SDB is unofficially over. Links are gone and website is down. I don't even remember the plot to that one.
From what I read Pixie Trix comics (ma3,sdb,dc,etc.) moved servers and it broke everything, so the active comics were worked on first and the rest will be back sometime.
And the last word on SDB was that it would start again sometime august.
Chloe caught some kind of succubus curse where she found Teddy irresistible, and if she has sex with him he dies (that's not new, but that+the out of control attraction put his life in danger). So Teddy took a potion or something to turn him into a girl so Chloe wouldn't be attracted to him. That's it for Chloe's plot, most of this arc has been focussing on Teddy.

It's a bizzaro porn universe. I think all bad sexy comics each truly belong in another universe, one where their character interactions is perfectly normal. Because the behaviour of the characters in DC is incomprehensible to humans.

There's a bit to it more then that. From what I understand, Chloe's a virgin which is a bad thing since she's a succubus and if she doesn't get the deed done, she dies. Not normally a problem but she's also got a thing for Teddy now which has been hampering her going to another guy to get it over with and the contract forced on Teddy at the start of the comic means he dies if he and Chloe have sex. Thanks to him getting to one of the proverbial bases with another girl, the magical bond they have pushed Chloe's succubus instincts slightly into overdrive, forcing Chloe's friend Pandora to inject Teddy with some of Chloe's blood to change him into a near-double of her after they discovered that being possible in a previous story. It normally would have worn off in a day or two except a horny Grim Reaper named Alchemy decided to inject HER blood (or ectoplasm which is the Reaper equivalent) into Teddy too to see if he'd change to look a bit like her. Instead, it's trapped him in that near copy of Chloe's body which is kinda good in that at least he's not setting off her succubus instincts for now.
Today's QC has hints for moving in The Future (or whenever it's meant to be set)
Does Bubbles have a phone, or does she just sort of stare off into space while taking a phone call and talking to nobody, or does she take the phone call entirely internally and nobody around her knows what's going on?

She probably has the option to answer it via internal vocalization (nobody in the area with her hears the talk) or, if with friends / other people relevant to the conversation she can vocalize her response, or even put out the convo all speaker-phone like, from her torso.
The other people will be craning their heads together toward her abs.

Everything plotwise about this comic since faye went to work at the robot place has beem really stupid but I like the art style ol' jefe jacqués has been working here

I think it's less that the contract will kill Teddy and more that a virgin succubus lacks the experience needed to not kill their sexual partner during the act.
