What has you guys so eager about Disgaea 5? I mean its a fun game and all but I don't get people saying they want to RE-play it.
It's the best one? And it's extremely fun? And being able to play it on the go is great, since up till now it's the only one that isn't portable (well, except for La Pucelle in North America, and Makai Kingdom, though they are technically not explicitly Disgaea games).
Anyway, it's one of my favorite series. Absolutely worth replaying.
And I support NIS/NISA in general so I don't mind throwing them more support via wallet.

So I managed to get a Switch at the Nashville BB last night. Had a good time in line. When I showed up, the line was oddly split up and I was confused by it. I ended up getting in pretty early..maybe 30th. After waiting for 45 minutes. When I got inside from the cold, they were explaining how the process worked.
"grab your games here, system here, accessories here, show your ticket here"

I asked about that. Turns out they were handing out tickets to the line. Never ONCE saw an employee doing such a thing, guess they stopped when I got there. They SAID they stopped at 11:45, but I was there since 11:20. So they told me I had to go to the BACK of the line, which was very frustrating. They got booed by people around me (not aggressively, just a "that's super lame" boo) but they wouldn't make an exception. I WAS going to leave but the line wasn't THAT big and the guy said they had plenty. No ticket person to be seen though.
I ended up being 4th to last to leave and they still had about 40 systems left.
Slick little system so far.
And man, the first time you see the full world in Zelda...pretty awe-inspiring, which is saying a lot for an open world game.
My only problems so far is my Switch REFUSES to see my wireless network. It sees a ton of others around, just not mine. Hope it doesn't turn out to be a big issue.
Ooo I checked the email from Nintendo and apparently they did send out the switch with next day delivery and not standard. So I guess mine is expected today with the afternoon package courier.

I'm trying to get to my order details page on the Best Buy Canada website.... and it's erroring out. I can see a pending charge on my paypal for the switch yesterday at 4pm, but I have no email, nothing, and I can't get into the order details page.
the london drugs order I placed yesterday..... I got an email at like 11pm from their online store saying that my order had been switched from an in store pickup to a "ship to store" and that the "first available" switch would be shipped to that store for me to pick up, and they would let me know when that is.. (i.e. they sold more than they had stock). I'm even more pissed at this one since they took my money immediately when I did the order yesterday.

Had a bunch of people in line last night who were all, "I'm getting the system here, I have the pro-controller ordered at Gamestop, and my games at [some other location]." Might be because of peeps like that. I saw several people in line get everything EXCEPT a system at checkout.
Scratch what I said there are more that 20 Switches at this Target. Plenty of Neon and Grey. Man if I'd know it would be this easy to get I wouldn't have had mine shipped. Got wait another 5-8 hours as a result.

Ok, so I called in to check since the website won't load. The agent told me that my Switch will ship this morning and that they are doing Same Day Shipping on it, so according to him it *should* arrive today. He said because it's same day shipping it's actually likely that I won't even receive tracking information until after the switch arrives......
I got in line at Target at 8:05, received a business card marked "12", and condolences that they "only" had the Grey model to offer (which was the one I wanted). The line proceeded in an orderly manner to the electronics section (an employee called out, "Thank you for walking!"), and everyone bought what they wanted.
Just gotta finish Tales of Berseria and wait for my SDXC card to come in the mail, and I'm good to go for Zelda.

So, I have a problem. I really like how the joy cons feel when clipped to the system, but after about 30 minutes my left thumb gets extremely painful and sore and sends shooting pains down my left arm.
It's almost the exact same geometry as the 3ds xl and i have played that for hours and hours. I'm very worried.
I've heard people say they couldn't get their review Switches to charge past 85% or so when playing Zelda non-stop while docked. That wasn't the case for me. Docked the system when it was about 30%, charged up to 100% while I was playing all morning.
Also, how awesome is the speed of this thing? Sleep mode is like BAM!
So I think being close to a fullfilment center has boned me, at least in terms of timely delivery. I am about two hours away from one so it seems like we are in the bottom of the barrel in terms of getting these consoles out. The general impression I'm getting is "We can ship your package at any point today. . .so stop calling us."

So the EB Games right near my work opened an hour early (9am) instead of midnight launch. Despite being in a fairly populated city/area, this EB seems not well known I guess? I'm at work so I didn't want to wait in line for my pre-order and just grab it during my 15 min. break, so I went at 9:45ish. There was... no line at all? I walked in, picked it up, and out and back before break was over. Success!
They even had spare units. A co-worker came in with me and just picked one up on the spot. I feel kinda bad now for people who had to camp overnight places
Applied by Day 1 update at my desk and then linked my Nintendo Account. And now nothing to do until work is over in 6 hours. Oh god what have I done. Maybe I feel a cold coming on.... 8-)

I never got to play it since I don't own a PS4 and love the series. Hopefully I can find a Switch sometime between now and it's stateside release.
