It's a lie. The page says in stock, but it just errors when you try to add to your cart. Guess they sold the one the found in the back.
Edit: Add me to the list of people frustrated with these supply issues. I was working the weekend they opened preorders, so I missed my chance there. I figured I'd be able to pick one up a week or two after launch with some scrounging, but I've not even come as close as Ski in terms of seeing them. My local Gamestop said they've received a total of three (3) units since launch, and calling around town, several places have said they're not expecting consistent stock until June.
Went at 12:30, signed up for Prime, added it to my cart, tried to checkout, SOLD OUT BAHAHAHA MY LIFE
But I also spent 0.5 seconds texting a friend who does have Prime right before I tried, and he DID order me one! He hasn't received a conf email, which is disconcerting, but his orders page says arriving on Wed. IS IT TRUE

I'm still feeling May.
There's gonna be, what, two more major waves of Switches hitting in April, I'd assume. Eventually, the most motivated among us will have theirs, either through stakeouts, eagle-eyed web tracking, collaborations with people working on the inside, or taking the hit of a scalper. Or they'll have settled for something else, like learning woodworking, or raising otters.
Me, I'm content to see what May has to offer, where I may walk into a store, get a Red and Blue Switch off the shelf, and enjoy Zelda at my own clip.
I figure E3 will unveil at least one new thing the average gamer will decide they need a Switch for, so, May's gotta be my best shot for supply to be nestled slightly above an ebbing demand.
Oh I missed that. I guess being a Prime customer I overlook that aspect
there are people who aren't prime customers?
Can't see a reason to throw Amazon $100 a year when most retailers match their prices anyway.
I could have made that argument last year when Amazon didn't charge tax in my state, but now they do, so these days I can go to a local retailer, have them price match Amazon and end up paying the same price for the product and get it instantly rather than having to wait 2 to 3 days for it ship to me.

It really depends on what kinds of things you shop for. For example, I don't think most pet supply stores do price matching on the 12 pound bags of cat food I get from Amazon nor do most places that stock kitchen gear even have replacement gaskets for pressure cookers. The more you need stuff not sold by big box retailers but carried by Amazon the more appealing Prime is.

Right! Shipping, game discounts, dog food discounts, prime music and prime video make it all worthwhile (for me).

If anyone is looking for a Switch Pro Controller, Amazon's Prime Now service has them in stock in my area. Just snagged one myself.
Prime Now's stock seems to be separate from regular Amazon.com stock, so it might be worth a check. Heck they might even have Switch consoles in stock if you're extra lucky.
Went to the local Gamestop to pick up Zelda (for Wii U). Saw them advertising yet another bundle for delivery by the 31st, but this one actually seems decent because it comes with games instead of a headset you won't use.
461 dollars
Nintendo Switch with Gray Joycon (I guess the rumors of the Neon SKU being more rare are true?)
tLoZ: BotW
BOTW expansion pass
Collector's Edition guide
Snipper Clips
Shovel Knight Treasure Trove

Yeah, I heard about that bundle. They didn't have it at any of my local stores, but I actually would have pounced on that. Those are all things that I want, other than the guide.

I've become increasingly frustrated with splatoon's fanbase. If they don't have spectator mode planned six months ago, it's not going to be in the game. People think that saying things now will help create major features in a game due to release in 3 months. It takes at least a month to print discs or cartridges. At this point the game is feature complete and is only going through bugfixing and testing. Maybe a patch 6 months from launch will add features in. People need to realize how long it takes to actually put anything in a game, especially something major.
Holy shit I think I got one! Proof that planning is useless and blind ass luck is the way to go.
We had a quiz bowl tournament at work today for my entire department. Between the semi-finals and the finals I was talking to a coworker who asked me how our Quest for Switch went yesterday (poorly). He then mentions that he got the alert that Amazon restocked 5 minutes ago, and has ordered one. I pause for a second, because 5 minutes is an eternity in Switch stock world. I broke out of my daze, pulled open the app on my phone and one click ordered a switch.
I think it worked! I have a delivery date of Sunday, but am refreshing on the hour to make sure it is for real reals.

Ordered 12:04am March 3, Prime Now delivered my Switch less than 10 hours later!

All GS stores can order that. Its not in the stores though, they ship it to your house.
Which is why I find the whole "Gamestop claims Nintendo only shipped them 3 units!" that seems to be going around. I'm betting Nintendo sent them a bunch, and they have them in their warehouse waiting for online sales, and they send a portion to their stores.

That's not out of the realm of possibility. Remember when Gamestop "stumbled into" a bunch of unsold copies of Xenoblade and tried to sell them for 80 bucks a pop?
Yeah the silver lining to getting this from Amazon a few days later is not having to pay Gamestop a fucking dime. I will do it in desperate scenarios, but this week definitely reiterated that they are a terrible company.

And discounts off new games that linger for some time after the game is actually released, which gives you the chance to see if it's good or not!

1. Login to the eshop with that profile.
2. Click your profile icon at the top right.
3. Go to Redownload.
4. Select the game to redownload.
You can't just go to the shop, find the game, and click on it. All it'll say is "Purchased".
Huh?
