I see $500~ deals for around 40-55in 4k all the time. I'm fine with my current set but, worth following the Deals blog section of Kotaku. Updates daily with really great stuff. http://deals.kinja.com/
So dudes and dudettes, what's a good 4K TV to get? Any good deals going on?
I got it discounted 75%, but I think the Vizio M-class is a very strong contender for affordable and good image quality/adaptive lighting. Mine didn't have HDR, which is a little sad, but it's not important to me personally as the quality of lighting and blacks (which are really really good--they almost look like the television is off).
Higher quality textures, hits native 4k at solid 30fps. They keep using the phrase "Near PC performance" and I get the weirdest boner. I really hope more games get these streamlined options for higher resolution vs higher framerate.

Thanks for the link & recommendations. That TCL one is tempting, but I've never heard of TCL before so that's concerning, I'll have to check out some reviews.

is OneDrive always broken or something?
I just want to get some clips and screengrabs to e-mail to myself but after using the Upload app (which seems mandatory I don't know) but OneDrive won't open.

Use a 3rd party site like Xboxdvr or Xboxclips, or if you're on windows the Xbox app lets you grab them too

It's working on my end, so it's not a system-wide server issue. I use OneDrive almost every day for document/image storage--easily as reliable as Google Drive in my experience, if not more so.

I'm very happy to see the better textures than the PSFro--one thing that is always appreciated, at any resolution. Oh boy does it look good.
Since I only ever played the game on console, I'm reminded that I've never played the game at 60 FPS (then again, most people haven't either). It could be tough to determine whether or not that's worth the resolution drop.
So my Xbox app on my Win10 PC has effectively stopped working, which sucks, because it was handy for streaming while my wife used the TV.
Spent several hours with Xbox support last Friday, ultimately to no avail. I was given a case number and instructions to try contacting Windows support, which I've yet to have time to do.
In the meantime, I figured I'd ask if anyone here has had a problem like this? It loads up with the Sign In screen, no login data fields, and clicking the Sign In button just takes me back to/refreshes the same screen.
For better and worse, the Xbox App is probably more the domain of the Windows 10 app ecosystem (and Windows 10 support), than Xbox console support, even going back to when it first appeared on Windows 8. So it's not surprising that the Xbox support people weren't helpful--and what you've described sounds like actual UWP app problems, not problems with the connection to the Xbox console.
Assuming you haven't already (since i don't think Xbox support would give you the instructions), the first thing to do is to uninstall and reinstall it (which you may not realize you can do, since it's a "baked in" Windows app). There are a few ways to do it, but the Powershell under administrator privileges is probably the least intimidating. Go here, and search for the Xbox instructions towards the bottom of the page. From what I remember, you can then find it in the store and reinstall it.
Or on the other hand, you could try installing the Xbox Beta app (which is a separate program and probably wouldn't have the same issues).
Did both of those, under Xbox Support's instructions.

Your firewall settings are the only thing I can really think of here.
I don't believe I have one? If I did, I never changed anything since the last time I used it.

The TCL Roku branded TVs have reviewed really well and the Vizio M series get consistently great reviews, but I'm Vizio for life.
I figure the next time my kid his my TV with a golf club I'll upgrade to 4k and then the XboneX.
If you're willing to wait like three months, the holiday deals are usually pretty good. Got a nice 4K Samsung around Black Friday (the week before, but it was the sale price) for around $550 last year.
Cyber Monday's how I got my Vizio-M 65" for 25% off. Not the best deal I saw...but a pretty good one and the only way I could justify a 65" television (which I though I never could).

This might be old news but I've only just heard about it.
You remember Bethesda offering Paid Mods and getting a shit ton of backlash right? How about them offering the same shit again, just calling it "Creation Club"?
They seem to contradict themselves on their own page.
"Is Creation Club paid mods?
No. Mods will remain a free and open system where anyone can create and share what they’d like."
And yet
"How do I get Creation Club content?
Creation Club is available via in-game digital marketplaces in both Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition and purchased with Credits."
So its not paid mods, but you'll have to pay for credits so you can pay for mods... (Maybe they meant to say that normal mods arent going anywhere and Creation Club is just another option? I dont know)

Not quite the same.
Creation Club is a mix of Bethesda-created stuff along with modder created content that was created just for this program, and the modders are given access to more of Bethesda's tools and work with them on project management and development along with a cut of the profits, instead of just slapping a price tag on regular mods. You can't just make a mod and put a price tag on it, bethesda is hand-picking good creators to create new stuff for this, they're basically working with modders to create little DLCs.
Being very big into Bethesda modding myself, it'll be interesting to see what the response was.
From the largest modding communities (including the Nexus chapters of the Fallout and Elder Scrolls title), it was a split-second of possible enthusiasm followed by immediate head-shaking disapproval. The credit and content-sharing nature of those communities alone would've made mod payments a unending nightmare, and the profit sharing model between the modder, Bethesda, and Valve was hilarious (especially considering those who would only be paid in Steam credit). The lasting thing to come out of that whole fiasco was Nexus setting up a voluntary donation system and promoting it on mods.
Pretty much if they aren't like 2 minutes long every damm time it's better. Also I noticed that the update changed it so you don't have to head back to the rover to dump your stuff and edit and upgrade. The load times that saves alone would add up to like an hour overall across the game
Also on another note I'm hoping they launch the new avatars at the same time as the X
Anybody have Ryse and like, 5-10 minutes of spare time so I can knock out an achievement to finally complete Ryse?
I could probably help you, though I still haven't beaten Ryse if that's necessary.
Oh, just need to start a multiplayer survival match and spam focus attacks to get 30 environmental kills. With focus potions should be a breeze. It's just that you literally can't start a survival match without a second console/person.
Though this kind of makes me want to set up my Xbox One and two box it but I fear that is a line from which there is no turning back from.

I can't stop playing path of exile , I had pillars of eternity pre ordered and haven't even booted it up because doing so would prevent me from playing paths of exile. I never gave it a chance on pc and I have no fucking idea why. It's a much better diablo game then everything that isn't diablo 2 and even then it's close.
Sorry if this has been asked but can I pre-order CoD on Xbox One X and play in the beta on my Xbox One?
yeah, the One X isn't an entirely new console just their equivalent of the PS4 Pro. its still the same store and anything that releases for the new hardware will still run on the launch consoles.
Anyone know how the preorder beta thing for CoD works on the console? I preordered WW2 a while ago and still have yet to hear anything about how to get the beta. I'd be willing to preorder it on the xbox store (as I'm already pretty sold) but do they just send you a message to download the beta?
