So, i tried to buy some lapis yesterday, the game took me to my iphones account screen to reenter my cards extra code for some reason. it acted like the sale went through on apples side, but when i went back to the game screen it said the transaction was cancelled and i never got my lapis. i waited a bit, then bought the lapis again, this time i got it. however now i have two pending holds on my debit card. Do i have to call/email apple about this or just wait a few days and see if the hold goes away on its own on the first sale that did not work?
Raid summon finally coughed up Y'shtola so I don't need to hammer the raid quite as hard now. I've been doing the 5000-coin summons in groups, and I think I did 8 5000-coin pulls.
Yes, I would contact both GUMI and Apple about any purchase that didn't go through as expected. As soon as possible.
I have now well over 2m raid points, and still haven't summoned a Y'shtola. I'm thinking of just selling these coins to get mad bank. I have 3 Hydaelyn Guards and 11 Followers Oaths...

If you have all of the mats/awakening materials you need, go for it. Gotta save up bank for eventual enhancements!
The money cost on the enhancement stuff is a little blown out of proportion. The real limiting factor is the materials. If you limit yourself to only enhancing 1-2 big deal units that you use a lot then it won't be too bad. Enhancing a lot of units that use the same colors is going to mean a ton of stone farming. A ton.
I wonder what they're going to do for enhancements on global exclusive character like Olive. I think they mentioned that the JP version will eventually get these units, so maybe they'll buff them for JP to keep up with current power creep and give us those buffs as enhancements?
I'm approaching 700K so I'm confident I should be able to get Yshtola... But I already have a solid Refia. I may keep Yshtola around because I love her to death.
My two Y'shtolas were I think 4 draws apart. They seem to cluster. Also, now I am concerned I used up any residual luck I had and will draw nothing but 100 Ovelias on TGCids banner.
I read that Gumi nerfed the character drops really hard on this one.
You can say that about every event. :P
True, this one just sounded a lot worse since supposedly you were pretty much guaranteed to pull all the chars no problem instead of needing to get lucky before hitting the milestone.
So far from raid coins: (Includes trust moogles of there own type)
Thancreds : 74
Minfilia : 20
Y'shtola: 0 actual Y'shtolas, 16 shard of genius moogles.
I'm 3 slots from my max units, im literally almost to the point that i will have to horde every coin i get until i get Y'shtolas from the individual reward just to make room to collect her and use her damn moogles.
Raid summons are always a little weird, because they're free. You can watch the recent Ziss videos on youtube for his banner pulls. Dark Fina was before the gacha change, and he had 500 pulls to get her (but got other rainbows during that period). He got Queen on his first 10+1. It's RNG. In general, in 100 pulls, you average 1 rainbow (which is MUCH better after the gacha change). Some people have had bad luck, some good. The thing with "whales" or people who spend some money is that, like most "freemium" games, paying money speeds things up. If you could do 1 summon per day, that's 365 summons in a year. If you do 365 summons in a single day, you will -- theoretically -- have the same OVERALL luck as the person who pulled for a full year, but with the advantage or disadvantage of rate-ups if you're looking for specific units.
They tweaked this Raid Summon because they included trust moogles. They didn't put the unit trust moogles in the JP one, so the rates for the actual units was better. It's sort of a catch-22 -- if you get multiple units, but you don't pull enough mats to evolve them, what's the point? If you would get 6 Y'shtolas from the JP summon, but you get 1 Y'shtola from the GL summon and 20 moogles, is that better? A guaranteed TM is probably better, BUT it would be nice if you could get a FEW more, right?
Anyway, I think I'm going to do the same thing I did on the FFT-0 event and do dailies plus a couple tickets, hoping to get at least two bonus units. Orlandu is the god chainer, but I have really solid units.
I've sadly been playing these kinds of games since PaD global launched. Luckily that game taught me the stats and to never spend money on these things(again).
I also pulled 3 rainbows on dailies the week before the summon change, two of which were trolls. At least the rates here aren't some fluid monstrosity like Dokkan Battle.
I think I've spent $40 on this game so far (I had a $20 gift card). I figure it's worth that so far as it's given me some form of entertainment. I may drop another $20 on this upcoming banner, but we'll see how I feel. If I have enough friends who pull an Orlandu I may not need to worry too much about getting him.
Nothing wrong with spending some cash on these games, I just never do it for pulls since I never feel like I get my money's worth. I just get more enjoyment out of managing the resources and my pull satisfaction is much higher when it's free. I'm also much more likely to drop a game if I can't hit a jackpot after long enough.
I usually drop some cash on the gachas if I play them long enough. I try to only spend as much as it would cost to "buy" a game of that caliber if it were on a Console or PC. Typically that means anywhere from $20-$100 depending on the game nowadays so that's usually my stopping point.
Nothing wrong with supporting a game you spend hours enjoying. Just have to be careful not to go too far down the rabbit hole.
Been trying to get a Crowe on JP on their current 'popular units' banner. She's not a bad support on her own but has a 30%hp/30%spr TM which is awesome given how much emphasis there is on spirit now. Got like 3-4 non Crowe yellows on her first banner. Didn't have many tickets saved but used some and got like 4 yellows that weren't her (stupid double 4* banners). One more daily today that turned into an Onion Knight. Can't complain I guess but not even sure how to fit him in. Will have to find some time to play around on the target dummy.
One billion Thancreds. Four Thancred TMRs completed already. FINALLY got a Y'shtola. Now doing ADV ifrit instead of PRO because I am supremely lazy. Have all equipment except the wand for Y'shtola.

Pushed forward to Wicked Peaks and utilizing my relatively low rank to try and reset my raid orbs as often as possible
So, one of my whale Olive friends has her equipped with a jeweled ring for the Raid. I wish I could send him a message letting him know Olive has innate immunity to paralyze...

So im a little confused about the espers passive bonus. I just promoted Odin to 2*, but have not put any of his training points into skills yet. I know i probably want to grab undead and dragon killer, but if im trying to max his passive bonus to whatever character i put him on, do i just want to grab all the +ATK hexes? I know the full amount isnt getting added to the character, but im confused about how exactly its determining the passive bonus.
Regarding money, compared to a monthly subscription, F2P games like this are great. I'm far from rich but I have some disposable income, and I've had a lot of enjoyment over the last few months from this game, so why not show the devs some love? "Likes" only take them so far. I don't have a lot of capability of playing heavy sit-down games, but I can play a little bit of this while my son (2.67 yrs old) is winding down/taking a break from stuff. Then I can put my phone away easily and go back to being a good parent

You can say that about every event. :P

You have to complete events to get it. It looks like there isn't a place to farm them.
Oh well, theres an event starting tomorrow right?

the chance of pulling a y'shtola is about 0.5% compared to 1% on a ticket or 2% on an 11 pull (if I remember correctly)
Yep, and the mats are fairly cheap so you should be able to get as many as you'd need in a short amount of time.
Jeeze so I'm just super unlucky then? I've pulled at least 50 times a day so far.

I'm confused by the ticket/11pull part
