inquisitor basically unchanged except consecrated ground on hit and immune to elemental effects rather than unaffected by

Kind of dull mebbe.
Inquisitor had no reason to change, but his existence makes Elementalist useless for anything but golems.
As for Saboteur.
I still have never played a trapper/miner and this doesn't compel me, but I do like the complete ailment immunity and blinding aura. Anything other ascendancies don't have is great.
Necromancer nerf to the Offering node was absolutely expected, and I like the speccing into specific minions even if the rest is more basic "Kill stuff harder if you killed stuff recently".
Gladiator has a node that makes things explode and bleed all over the place. This is always good. Now this node is 4 points. This is bad and sad. Seems like a offensive nerf but defensive buff (4 % max block whoooof).

It’s not even just that but the one thing that was unique to gladiator is already easily gotten with gloves. Just annoys me .
I think people are overreacting to the lack of Inquisitor nerfs
Ignoring resistances is strong, but you have many ways to get resistance penetration that can outshine that node in most cases
Inq will be superior at endgame bosses with less gear investment. It'll equal out at higher gear levels and fall behind on non-Shaper/Guardian/Elder content
Especially with all the new multipliers that other classes get. The playing field is more level than it was.
I still think it's an uninteresting mechanic, but at least it isn't so lopsided
I appreciate the regen because trappers always lack for sustain, but otherwise this is full of sad. I've made so many trappers but the last few leagues it feels like an exercise in frustration.
On the other hand maybe there's a way to make Arc not horrible with Trickster now?
Like, Call of the Brotherhood + Arc + cold to fire... blah it'll probably still suck =\

Patch notes on the 28th at noon Pacific (GMT -8).
Burn the midnight oil, POB peons. Make for me a build.
Well maybe there will be some ways to make ignites nice and viable this league.
The more I think about it the better champion cyclone looks.

that ring rule's
only downside is no synergy with offhand dyadus because its always cold, rip
could do some shenanigans with a discharge cwc build using lightning tendrils before which was doing mass shocking using storm barrier, eye of innocence and inyas epiphany for rapid power charge gen, jugg + kingsguard for infinity hp a second
imagine this but using powers for the lightning discharge and all those shocks to get like 200% burn and both the fire and lightning part of discharge igniting
Holding my breath for the Ascendant rework, I hope that drops today.
Aside from Elementalist (which is another swing and a miss unfortunately) I really think they did a bangup job with the ascendancy reworks. Every other lackluster ascendancy got at least one substantial boost that addresses a pain point for the class (movement speed for Deadeye, life/mana regen for Saboteur, etc.)
I'm not sad to see Bisco's nerfed, nor am I sad to see sextant spamming go the way of the dodo.
Oni Goroshi was pretty easy to get but still... I will still keep a char at that level and do occasional tries but when they say harder to get they most likely mean Headhunter from chance orb rare now. Its like they take a step to greatness and then revert back to the shitty status quo of just farm currency endlessly and buy what you want.

I wonder if this means any sort of burn rework? Still pretty hard to scale a burn degen build. If it is, I am going to kick it old school with Ice Shot - Three dragons prolif build
Man too bad you couldnt convert fire to lightning. That ring would rule with Oni Goroshi procs that way.
You wouldn't need full lightning damage to take advantage of the burning damage increase, just enough to shock
Oh yeah it is just easier to focus on one rather than full elemental. So you could still spam phys with oni and then go full lightning dmg using that ring to get your oni procs. But there is no conversion because they have to protect from loops from what I am reading.
I am also thinking scorching ray or RF for that ring.

Everyone likes bigg juggs.
Constant IC is perfectly viable, no slow is great utility, there is plenty of regen and an option to make accuracy concerns a non-issue. Nothing major for clear-speed but it is a versatile class.
New ascendant is up. Much stronk.
deadeye/assassin wander
elementalist/inquis or hiero caster/totems
slayer/raider literally any build
necro/champion for big block
Or look at Jugg+Champ
Can't be stunned or chilled
Almost infinite endurance charges
Basically permanent fortify
Intimidate all enemies on full life causing enemies to take 10% inc dmg
Can taunt enemies to make them take another 10% inc damage
Still get 1k accuracy if you're trying crit stuff
I think they want more people to try Scion. They are not exactly making that harder with this revamp.

Hmm.
Scion's up.
Elementalist + Inquisitor gets you 16% Ele Damage Pen, Nearby Enemies 10% Increased Ele Damage Taken, Can't Take Reflected Ele Damage, Crit Multi from Inquisitor, Consecrated Ground generation, and Immunity to Ailments when on Conc Ground. Plus an extra golem, minimum 10% Shock magnitude, and some Herald Effect.

Via Mark:
*which, yes, means for each chain the projectile can do but has not yet done. Note that since piercing occurs before chaining, piercing projectiles have not used any of their chains yet, and thus get the full bonus. Also, returning projectiles 'use up' any remaining chains at the point they start returning, so can no longer chain, or benefit from this bonus.
Hmm if I run fortify on the cyclone link , I can skip the perma fortify node and grab first to fight still have forify up all the time and will do lots and lots of damage. Plus will be super durable , throw in the hemp gloves and I will keep the best part of glad.

NEVER STOP RUN
I tried this in Legacy. Skeleton AI was still pretty bad, and even with 200% speed (QE/minion speed gem/flesh offering/vaal haste) they weren't great
Summon Skeletons got a buff since then, the halved cooldown on Convo will help a lot, and the new Necro nodes might make it work
Queen's Escape is my favorite summoner item. You don't realize how powerful minion speed is until you have a bunch of it.
